On twisting the wire, a pair of aviation pliers will make that process a matter of seconds. Also called safety wire pliers.
Not too expensive.

Booone.... I have watched a ton of your videos. Your work is very very cool.
I just found out that your on Whidbey Island. I had an inkling when I heard the name of your track.
I have a place on Camano island. Neighbor......
Anyways, I've been ate up about digital slot cars ever since I stumbled across a video on UA-cam, a few months back.
So I am wondering if you could steer me in the right direction to contact any slot car clubs in our area, so that I may get more involved in the hobby?

Moved to Northern Texas in July of this year .But the closest track that I know about in that area is in Tacoma at Scaleracing Center, aka .. 132Slotcar . Their number is 1-888-774-3227 . Alan Smith is the owner and very knowledgeable about the hobby.

The red Scalextric car to my right.. That little jewel is the 1967 Brands Hatch #9 Ferrari 412P driven by Attwood and Piper in the 6 hours race , I believe they placed 7th overall.
