Yes I know it wasn't made in the USSR but the russians have this visual eye thing where it's easy to recognize a product as russian solely based on it's styling. It has been continued from the ussr times and the Marussia is a perfect example of this.
@Anthony Suarez - Well the Venturi 400 was in Gran Turismo 2 and Test Drive 6 as well as a few Ridge Racer games, and the Noble M600 was in Forza 2, 4, 6 and 7, as well as Forza Horizon 1 and 3 , so they're even more known than the EB110, according to your approach (especially the Noble)
it was build twice on direct order from Lamborghini founder and it was no prototype, the second is lost (at least no one knows were it ended) ...there was some years ago a big report about it as they presented a new Lambo.. thats were the drive scene were taken... most remarkable is that the Countach Turbo S is till today the only existing loaded V12 engine with caburettor, V12 twin turbo with 6 Weber dual caburettor, the adjusting of such a setup has to be a mechanic nightmare and needs master mechanics
I'd be interested in avid dealing with the background of the twin sequential, or serial, turbo. From what I know (not a hell of a lot) it seems a huge advance. No quite as innovative as the original turbo concept itself certainly, but a giant improvement over the first twin design.
Noble's aren't a forgotten supercar since they are still being manufactured. It's just not many people know about them because they're all basically in the UK where they're built.
The aurora was created to be a replic of the F40, but with a 2.0 l engine taken from chevy monza, nice body work, but poor advertising and no government support it has bankrupted and closing the doors
New Sub Inc. Hi Visio. Just to say I love your channel. Me and my family watch your uploads like it’s a new GrandTour/TopGear episode. You really do know your automotive history. Love it! Greetings from the UK.
If he did, then the gearbox, which came from the Renault Espace, would most likely shatter. The Delorean was a failure from the start. And the coke business was not a proper investment.
Lotus Elise GT-1 seems like it might've been the unofficial inspiration for the Hennessey Venom GT. It's essentially the same idea and the Venom GT design came up because they didn't think they could make Twin-Turbo Vipers go much faster given the weight and configuration of the platform.
About the SSC Ultimate Aero TT's engine, it is an enlarged LS6 engine from 5665 cubic centimeters to 6300 cubic centimeters with two turbochargers attached to it.
Man the ssc Ultimate aero was the first car to slay a Bugatti Veyron back in 2007 it was the world's fastest car , and btw the m600 isn't a forgotten supercars it's famous on top gear !
As always, nice video & some interesting cars. However, as much as I love the Alpine, I don't think anybody would class it as a supercar. Also surprised not to see anything from Koenig, the C62 being the most obvious choice, or perhaps some of the twin turbo Ferrari conversions they used to do.
Im almost sure the video at 4:36 is an actual 962. This is both due to the sound being *exactly* like that of the 962 (which wouldn't make as much sense in the Schuppan because it was more insulated, due to being a road car), and also because of the dashboard being, again, *exactly* like that of the 962.
I don't know if those cars count as supercars, but i'll mention them: Callaway Corvette Sledgehammer: A build in house Corvette V8 with 2 turbos making 888 PS/880 HP placed into a chassis based on the early C4 Corvette. Could reach a bit more then 410 km/h (254 mph). Is it a supercar though? Chrysler ME412: Middle-Engine with 4 Turbos and 12 Cylinders = ME412. Has a 6 liter AMG V12, but never made it to production. Was said to reach a top speed of 400 km/h.
The SSC’s engine is not based on the LS series. It is it’s own property CNC’d billet aluminum block. The prototypes however, used a LSR used in the Corvette C5R
I know there was/is a lot of speculation behind it, but the Mosler MT900 XX 'Land Shark' built by IAD was all but forgotten. I'm not sure if they ever actually did anything with it, but it supposedly boasted a Twin Turbo Custom LS7, with 2500bhp. And a supposed top speed of over 300mph... I think it still exists, but they never attempted to prove their data, shame really.
Yeah, two french cars! The venturi was the powerfull version of the prv, used in many many cars! Renault was the first builder to use turbo on a production car. Thx for your videos, and a big up from french car lover :)
Actually the first turbocharged production car is the chevrolet corvair, in 1962 but renault was indeed one of the first to turbocharge something, a plane during world war 1 !
In fact, the most powerful version of the PRV is in the WM/Peugeot P88 LeMan prototype, 3l 24s twin-turbo, more than 900hp, built to beat the circuit speed reccord, which it did at 405km/h. It still is today the fastest speed recorded on a circuit worldwide.
4:04 celebrating aren't the quite word. He was approached by Japanese businessman about creating 962 for road use. He did so but sadly the Japanese mpney dried up and he declared bankruptcy.
Venturi = Gran Turismo 2 SSC = PGR4, FM3, FM4 & FH1 Marussia = NFS Most Wanted 2012 & Driveclub Lotus Elise GT1= Gran Turismo 2, PGR3 & FM7 Thats the only cars i seen in these games.
I actually remember the SSC Ultimate Aero and the Noble M600. And I vaguely knew about Laraki and Marussia, but not those specific models. All the others were completely unknown to me, including those special Lamborghini Countaches.
S1000RR Ant two v6 Turbo, one turbo V12, one Yamaha V8, one boxer 6, one mercedes v12, one na v6. Are all this ls engines? Only 3 out of 10 had ls engines, and they were modified versions.
Carlos Garcia yeah who’s is impressive . What other engine on this list was repeated ? The LS is one of the best engines ever made. Also these even though are production cars to me they’re kit cars since most of these cars use engines from other cars or crate engines
S1000RR Ant the prv V6 Turbo was repeated. I'm not saying that the ls it's a bad engine, it is a very good engine for me. The only thing that i'm saying is that 3 out of 10 it's not "most" if the Cars. And i didn't say anything about them being kit Cars or not.
7:34 The road car uses Chevy LT5 from ZR1, Meanwhile the Viper V10 was done not by Lotus but by a Dutch privateer team. They done that in their home garage! But new engine needs them to homologate the car under different name. They contact their friend Erich Bitter and the new car is Christened Bitter GT1, That said the car was not successful due to lack of funds to develop the car.
Venturi may have been “inspired” - cough - by the F40...
I have *ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA* what your on about mate
F40 Side
Mk3 Supra Front
RS200 Rear
looks like something that would be on gta
It's like a Lotus espirit and an F40 had a love child.
Lol when i Saw the thumbnail i thought it was some riced F40
M600 is not a forgotten supercar
It's a modern day F40, that machine, @Enchantress... one of my favorites ;)
It's the only super car I'd buy if I won the lottery. It's gorgeous and and a truly driver's car.
Because Forza Motorsport (for me at least)
Why did the noble had an Spyker showroom plate?
Nuno Oliveira agreed
The black Marussia looks like something soviet Batman would drive :D
AlfonsoB soviet batman? Really? XD🤣🤣🤣🤣
blyatman
delis8765 🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Пейте целую бутылку водки * хиты Горбачева, все счастливы
Yes I know it wasn't made in the USSR but the russians have this visual eye thing where it's easy to recognize a product as russian solely based on it's styling. It has been continued from the ussr times and the Marussia is a perfect example of this.
You really know you have a racing /stiff suspension when your right frontwheel doesn't touch the ground coming of a curb 😅
SSC Ultimate 1:02
You forgot about me. I'm still driving my beautiful timeless LOTUS ESPRIT V8
Those are beautiful cars
Lambo Countach Turbo seems to be a coolest car in this list (in my opinion) for good classy looking supercar
Evando Apusagaseta agree buddy...
Another hard to find turbo supercar is the Bugatti EB110 SS.
Yeah! I was really surprised it didn't make the list!
Rare but not as forgotten
@Anthony Suarez - Well the Venturi 400 was in Gran Turismo 2 and Test Drive 6 as well as a few Ridge Racer games, and the Noble M600 was in Forza 2, 4, 6 and 7, as well as Forza Horizon 1 and 3 , so they're even more known than the EB110, according to your approach (especially the Noble)
I was sure I've seen the Venturi 400 in GT2 but was a vague memory, thanks for clearing that up
Kalvinjj you're very welcome :) it was once of my favourite cars in that generation, along with the HKS Drag-Skyline :)
The Aero definitely is very forgotten
Killa T1Acid I'll be honest
I'm glad it did (it sounds like a truck for Pete's sake)
kyubey, the cute little devil that's your opinion G
I know a guy who owns one and it's a fucking beast. I wish people knew about them more!
Butterman EX I always wanted to see one in battle with anything
Butterman EX what color is it
The Venturi was my dream car for a long time
Strange
The sound of the noble
Ramen Jesus advise you to check Top Gear Richard Hammond driving an M600 also. Excellent show
I've seen that episode, but never realixed how good it sounds
Ramen Jesus Magnificent tone...it sounds like a naturally aspirated engine! 😃👍
oh the sound of that GT1
you forgot the Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor. That car was rad and an amazing performer running only a four cylinder.
The Countach Turbo was nothing but a prototype , it was never mass produced
Respect me gender :)
Anthony Suarez WTF HAHAAHAHA kawaii gender must be this friend.
it was build twice on direct order from Lamborghini founder and it was no prototype, the second is lost (at least no one knows were it ended) ...there was some years ago a big report about it as they presented a new Lambo.. thats were the drive scene were taken... most remarkable is that the Countach Turbo S is till today the only existing loaded V12 engine with caburettor, V12 twin turbo with 6 Weber dual caburettor, the adjusting of such a setup has to be a mechanic nightmare and needs master mechanics
Nothing bud a prototype..?.? it's a miracle that car still exists...
Charlotte Dunois
So..
you missed the vector w8.
Good luck finding parts for those cars when something messes up
I'd be interested in avid dealing with the background of the twin sequential, or serial, turbo.
Andrew Yep they can't be sold in US, So we're limited to UK, Mainland Europe, MENA and Far East for Noble.
I've seen several of them here in the USA
@@misegades They are Rossion Q1s
No saleen s7 :/
Cicero was thinking the same thing
Not really forgotten but rare
He forgot.....
Lister Storm, Isdera Commendatore, Italdesign Scighera... There are many others too that should kick famous cars like the Countach out of this list.
Sad that car gets no love
The SSC Ultimate Aero is DEFINETELY not forgotten
The lotus elise gt1 sound tho
Dauer 962, Italdesign Scighera, Bugatti EB110, Hofstetter, Aurora 122C - the last two were Brazilian projects.
Void33 - The Hofstetter was soooo cool, with that wedge-shaped design directly inspired on models like the Alfa Romeo Carabo and Maserati Boomerang.
I know EB110.
The EB110 is not forgotten
The EB110 is not remembered by many people. Indeed, many people regard the Veyron as the 1st modern Bugatti.
The aurora was created to be a replic of the F40, but with a 2.0 l engine taken from chevy monza, nice body work, but poor advertising and no government support it has bankrupted and closing the doors
The Marussia will ALWAYS be one of my favorite cars.. there was something about it that other cars couldnt deliver
Here is an idea.. Do UEL header engines that are not from Subaru! (Or not boxer)
KKK Turbo on a German Car... LOL
Jerrold Lynch why lol? My Mk6 2.0TDI has a KKK turbo aswell
Most MAN diesels use them as well. They’ve started to switch to Borg Warner now.
Kühnle, Kopp and Kausch... whats wrong with kkk?
The 959 used them too.
When the joke flew over there heads
A couple of those cars were on a video game I use to play called Test Drive 6 and it had the Venturi 400 GT and the Lotus GT1
It surprised me that even though it has a steel chassis, the noble m600 is still so light
Well yeah it's body panels are literally sheet metal lmao 😂
with the car shipped out without any driving aids such as ABS and TCS, I guess I answered your question
1:02 TRACTION
Holy shit lol
When i saw that and heard the body screech.
I died a little inside.
Tommy Kaira ZZ II should have made this list.
One of the coolest cars EVER designed
New Sub Inc. Hi Visio. Just to say I love your channel. Me and my family watch your uploads like it’s a new GrandTour/TopGear episode. You really do know your automotive history. Love it! Greetings from the UK.
I appreciate that very much, thanks!
If John delorean is brave enough to put a turbo in the DMC tho. It'll trully be the car ahead of it's time and the power will match it looks
If he did, then the gearbox, which came from the Renault Espace, would most likely shatter.
The Delorean was a failure from the start. And the coke business was not a proper investment.
Then it wouldn't have a problem getting to 88mph.
Neo VeNoM if he did, he would've changed the gearbox. He's not stupid.
Congrats on the video !
I like people who document themselves and provide valuable, little known, information.
Cheers !
Lotus Elise GT-1 seems like it might've been the unofficial inspiration for the Hennessey Venom GT.
It's essentially the same idea and the Venom GT design came up because they didn't think they could make Twin-Turbo Vipers go much faster given the weight and configuration of the platform.
Man your videos are top notch lately. Not that they weren't good before
You are my favorite car-bike channel!
The backfire on that M600!
About the SSC Ultimate Aero TT's engine, it is an enlarged LS6 engine from 5665 cubic centimeters to 6300 cubic centimeters with two turbochargers attached to it.
i LOVE the Alpina. When i was younger i used to draw lots of Alpina's on paper, there's just something about it's style.
And hey, i don't know if i have already said it but your channel is great. Keep up the good work mate :)
7:54 I'm assuming that's Lotus's flatplane...is there anyway I can get my hands on this engine because that shit sounds better than most supercars imo
Man that lotus elise gt1 is a beauty!
These were great! Normally I know about most of the cars you post. But hardly knew anything about these!
Damn that countach turbo S....
Oh my, that SCHUPPAN is an absolute Eye Candy...bring that back!
The title mentions supercars, but it must be a typo. I have seen a Renault Alpine in the video. :D
That GT1 sounds like a motorbike😎
or v8 formula one
Sound like inline-4cylinder superbike
Hahaha the Venturi looks high as a bird
Goddman Lotus elise GT1, my nightmare in Gran Turismo 2. At the time, it was the only car I gave up to set up, far too much unstable for anything xD
Man the ssc Ultimate aero was the first car to slay a Bugatti Veyron back in 2007 it was the world's fastest car , and btw the m600 isn't a forgotten supercars it's famous on top gear !

Another reason to love the gran turismo game series
Noble M600 with Yamaha developed engine has to be one of my favorite exotics. Sounds awesome, looks awesome, weighs so little.
Am I the only one more interested in the Citroen Mehari in the last clip than any of these others? Plastic body car compilation perhaps?
0:47... that video was obviously recorded in Philadelphia, PA. It is the nearest city to where I live.
I thought it was interesting that the the Schuppan 962CR is right hand drive, but the gear shifter is also right hand drive.
Had to do a double take.
white countach was the ultimate bedroom wall poster!
It was realley to bad to hear about the LOTEC SIRIUS; Its looks and the sound were music to my ears. Beautiful car.
All these cars are so unrefined. But so cool.
Some very nice cars in this video, especially Countach, beautiful car.
That Shuppan is still bad ass looking
Thumbnail is premium 👍
0:04 My eyes burned away
I don't know if those cars count as supercars, but i'll mention them:

REALLY U PUT A COUNTACH THERE THATS SO FRICKEN POPULAR
Its about a rare 80's turbo'd Countach.
I never forgot about the ultimate aero. That thing is my monster dream car

wasnt it SAAB who made turbos popular?
4:04 celebrating aren't the quite word. He was approached by Japanese businessman about creating 962 for road use. He did so but sadly the Japanese mpney dried up and he declared bankruptcy.
Thanks for your video and especially for Marusya B1+B2!
Surprisingly, I knew about all of these. Good video.
Wouldn’t rare TWR cars be a cool video 😊
Venturi = Gran Turismo 2
SSC = PGR4, FM3, FM4 & FH1
Marussia = NFS Most Wanted 2012 & Driveclub
Lotus Elise GT1= Gran Turismo 2, PGR3 & FM7
Thats the only cars i seen in these games.
cizeta v16t morodor in gt4-gt6 for now
The Marussia B2 really got my attention, the design kind of resemble a stealth fighter.
I like it since the Need for Speed: Most Wanted, the second one.
Yep! And the Rivals too.
The FPS in the video at 7:45 is insane!!
I actually remember the SSC Ultimate Aero and the Noble M600. And I vaguely knew about Laraki and Marussia, but not those specific models. All the others were completely unknown to me, including those special Lamborghini Countaches.
First time ser Sirius in video ever.! Exclusively!!! Respect, like!!! I will save
That elise gt1 is great. Want 1
Most of these are kit cars to me with a bald eagle as it’s heart (LS series) which I’m not complaining I would use the same engine.
S1000RR Ant two v6 Turbo, one turbo V12, one Yamaha V8, one boxer 6, one mercedes v12, one na v6. Are all this ls engines?
Only 3 out of 10 had ls engines, and they were modified versions.

Carlos Garcia I meant most of these are kit cars to me. My bad
Carlos Garcia I said most of these cars are kit cars to me that’s what I meant
7:34 The road car uses Chevy LT5 from ZR1, Meanwhile the Viper V10 was done not by Lotus but by a Dutch privateer team. They done that in their home garage! But new engine needs them to homologate the car under different name. They contact their friend Erich Bitter and the new car is Christened Bitter GT1, That said the car was not successful due to lack of funds to develop the car.
That marussia b2 is quick! In nfs most wanted
Elise GT1 was not a failure… and the “Chevy LT5” was actually developed by lotus
Good content again, mr. visio racer
I'm surprised the Vector W8 didn't make this list.
Your English is insane bro! Such a hard language to master.
Schuppan is one of my all time favorite cars.. a beautiful 962 for the road . What could have been
Venturi 400GT aka F40 killer 😍🇫🇷
I heard of the SSC Aero in one of the Book of World Records...I think it was 2010
Noble very good sound
Hakan Demir yes that crackle and pop noise I love it
schuppan 962cr - dream amazing
That alpine car looks nice, kind of reminds me of a RX7 FC3S
Great vid bud... keep it up!
Thinking about that twin turbo LT5 makes me moist
Cool vid man! Very interesting.
the SSC ultimate aero was the fastest car in a video game I played.
Duy Tùng Phạm aAnd it eas the fastest in the world when it was produced...
PGR4 :D
the b2 is fairly known since it appeared on nfs most wanted 2010 and hot pursuit 2012
Love your video
Keep it up brother👌
Lotus + Viper V10 engine = orgasm
The Elise GT1 was amazing in Gran Turismo, just don`t do the final weight reduction, because it becomes undrivable ;)
I remember gran turismo 2... Venturi GT 400 & Elise GT1
