Way to call them out, I love it! Glad to hear you also try and pin them down on future models, especially a Lightning model. I really think this 20 is going to end up being one of Brownings legendary offerings one day.
Just cancelled my A5 20 hunter that was back ordered for a year. ☹️ Going to start my backorder for the A5 20 upland and start the waiting process all over again. 🙃
I picked up a 16 gauge wicked wing at a local shop, it’s just as lite as any other 20 gauge on the market if not less and you get the power of a 16 gauge, I agree why wait around for the 20
Randy - I know you’ve said in the past that the Sorix was a better value than the (unavailable) A5. Since the A5 is (allegedly) now available, if price wasn’t critical, which is the better gun? I know you ordered an A5 so I assume you like it?
Browning sends these impossibly young, ill-informed reps to the SHOT show, and I appreciate Mr. Wakeman educating them on their own product. I would have bet money on that happening. I knew before the video even started that Mr. W would know more about the mythical, still-unavailable A5 20 than the Browning rep whose eye was twitching as he strained to say the Hunter 20 "is shipping now" . . . ahem. --CW
@ I assure you the Franchi is worth every penny. The only improvement I would really want them to make is a slightly cleaner tribute after your first case or two of shells it honestly beaks in nice and cleans itself up a bit. Otherwise excellent all around. Mine has cycled low and high brass shells equally as well and loading port is a tad stiff at first but also breaks in nicely. I have large size glove hands and it doesn’t bite me when loading.

Thanks Randy for the update! 🙏 I'll stick with my Sweet Sixteen. 👍

My old model 11 20ga still works fine maybe not as pretty as one of these but she hunts great and I only gave 125 for it back in the day
Nice video Randy!
Would love to see them make it in Belgium and look more like the original s.
A5 Hunter shipping now? We will see…
You know your guns. Your questions prove you have researched your shotguns.
They’ve kicked this around so long I lost interest. Thanks for giving him the business about the delays.

I'll review the A5 20 in detail when it gets here. The A5 20 may well be starting to ship, but it is not generally available yet.
@RandyWakeman hopefully the trigger will be lighter than the initial version you shot.
Yeah I’m still waiting for these….
Please bring back the BPS

Did you see any auto loader shotguns that tickled your fancy?
Thanks!
It is a year-round thing, as many or most new shotgun models are not released at SHOT. www.chuckhawks.com/Column153Newfor2025.htm .
Man that Upland 20 gauge A5 looks grand or rather two grand.
LMAOOOOO GRILLED HIM
Better let them get the bugs out before ordering! At least a year.
At the very least they could have produced a black synthetic. People could then get them camo dipped on their own if they wanted.
I gave up waiting and bought a Franchi.
How do you like it?
The 48AL?
The Franchi is wonderful! Me and a few buddies have bout 3 in the last three years and have been smoking quail and dove better than ever!
@MinimumSpeedOperator I'm impressed with the price tag. I want an a5 20 for rabbits but might look at the franchi.

@@MinimumSpeedOperator thanks for the response!
I will take two
I’ll keep using my old Belgium made A5 20 guage for now. I detest the modern checkering patterns.
When a wicked wings or fully dipped camo version comes out, I'll be retrieving my wallet.
Whole bunch of no answers from this guy, poor kid's a deer in the headlights.
😂😂
He knows nothing 😂
Yea. Ok. So benelli it is.
To much money ,make guns affordable again.
You can get a Hunter grade Citori without too much looking for the price of this A5.
