I’m so glad one of those crossbow de-cockers didn’t malfunction and take some of your fingers off… I had one malfunction in our bow shop one day, resulting in my left thumb getting smashed so bad the center point of my thumb print busted open, and the meat of my thumb pad got pressed out like it was coming out of a meat processor. I’ll never trust one of those things ever again.
it’s not mentioned in the video but it looks like it has a gas shield on one side of the receiver, it looks like it might be able to be swapped to the other side
The Triple Light does look like something that could make it easier to see a downed game animal that you might otherwise miss in the dark. Not very expensive too.
Nice. This was fun to watch. Considering so many other channels cover what they think is the 'hot topic' right now, I was really just enjoying the video and then boom...it's over. LOL.
Ron reminds me of PBS channel back in the 4 7 and 11 days... Sometimes!!! 2 and 13 was pbs.. Then fox 16 latter on.. Anyways . Old Yankee workshop or whatever it was called... That's RON!!
@@timg7627 There is a lot of debate about the value of hydrostatic shock. From what I can discern, a bullet has to be traveling at very high speed to produce a worthwhile effect. I know some military testing I researched indicated the 5.56 is most effective when the terminal velocity is at least 2500 fps. No doubt there are enough exceptions that the debate continues.
Ammo stacks is doing it for me. That would make so much easier to check everyone's ammo as they come into the range, and it also just looks cool. Sure would be great for reloading too
I'm confused about how 1 round of the sim-x ammo can be 8 times more likely to incapacitate an attacker than a normal bullet. Doesn't the 357 have like a 90 some percent rate of stopping attacker with 1 round? This round would have to have a 720 percent chance of stopping an attacker. That math doesn't seem to work for meA
Maybe it's of a given, yet in the interview unspecified, caliber or cartridge? If so probably something smaller and less powerful than the 357 I'd guess. Even so I agree that 8x sounds mighty high.🤔
You're talking about two completely different ideas and comparing them with each other. Apples to oranges. The "8 times more likely" statement is saying that, for example, 9 mm ammo, their SIM X bullet is 8 times more likely to incapacitate an attacker with a single round than say, a Speer Gold Dot, or a Federal HST or whatever other 9 mm round would, hitting in the same location. Your example with .357 is a historical statement as to what percentage of shootings when .357 was used, resulting in a one-shot stop. The first is comparing effectiveness between bullet designs of the same caliber. The second is comparing the percentage of one-shot stops between all pistol calibers historically. One is saying which bullet design of a particular caliber is best, while the other is saying which pistol caliber has the highest percentage of one-shot stops. I'm not claiming their statement of 8 times more likely is factually accurate. That may or may not be true. I'm just trying to clarify what both ideas mean and how they are different.
I'm not sure how that fancy hollowpoint thing is claiming eight times the chance of incapacitation when previous studies suggest most ammo already has a 25-50% chance of one-shot stops. Does it simultaneously incapacitate the target and a random bystander for a 200% success rate?
Been searching for the RV410 at dealers up and down for over a year. Was told at one time that they couldn't get them any longer. Seeing them featured in your video here, I was hoping to find a dealer who actually has them ready to be sold.
Those head lamps/hand torches/key chain lights look quite useful. Thanks for the heads up. Ps. The sim ex could looks interesting as a possibly highly fragmenting Hunting ammo for soft skinned game too. That is IF the polymer pollution of the meat is acceptably contained, of course.
Maybe the middle provinces could succeed and join the U.S. Don't know if the east and west coast cities would be too keen. You wouldn't want them in the union anyway, it would just make America more left wing.
Love the idea, y’all are welcome to join us. Just secede and become 51-55th states. Truth be told how many Canadians would be interested in joining us do ya think?
We understand the big push for the 7BC and PSA's 11 "new" vote for them 2025 launches and Hornady's 25 Creedmoor relaunch, etc, but giving the small companies the spotlight really gives us the diversity in choice we need. The SIM-x looks interesting, as well as the G36 SENTIS looks incredible (3D printing 2.0).
The lil .22 AR is cool but it doesn't accept any other lowers or uppers already available. The ammo stacker thing is just adding another step...lol You already had your ammo all stacked nice and neat in its factory box !!! You emptied all the ammo just to have to spend more money to re- stack it in a plastic box....When it already comes stacked like that in its own box to begin with ! Or save alot of money while reloading and just use factory boxes that most folks throw in the trash.... Seems like a bunch of solutions to problems that really don't exist !!!
I listen to videos on earbuds, one thing that pisses me off is when I lose the audio because it’s only on one ear and I have only one earbud in. So 90% of the videos audio is on the left ear or both ears and suddenly it’s only on the right ear! Why can’t the editing team get this right? On this video it’s at 7:02 that we lose the left earbud entirely. Why?

Ron, next time you compare BC, don't use a 30/30 round nose bullet with a Target bullet!!! please!!!! Stop promoting bulshit, that you and I both know are bulshit.
JW, where in this video did I compare any bullet B.C.? In past videos I have used the low B.C. of a round nose bullet compared to the high B.C. of a SAME WEIGHT spire point boat tail to demonstrate how B.C. (form factor) changes performance. How is that bs?
@RonSpomerOutdoors when I watched your video showing you compare a round nose bullet of a spiral point bullet of the same weight. You're being a used car salesman. Obviously a flat nose bullet is in no way shape or form a fair comparison with a spiral point bullet. YOUR not running a spiral point bullet in your 336. Or 94. I dare you to take a good bullet: example the Nosler partition, nobody will doubt it's hunting ability and it's low BC. You take a super high BC bullet of the same weight with the same brass the same powder the same primer. And you compare that now you're an apple to apples comparison not an apples to a banana comparison as you did on your round nose bullet. I am finding more AND MORE "hunters" don't understand BC doesn't kill animals. THEY SEE A High BC, that's what they go, for even though it's a match bullet. THE VIDEO I'M REFERRING TO, YOUR PLAY INTO THAT AND FEEDING THAT IGNORANCE. You and I both know BC does it make a difference till at least 500 yards. If BC gave me a longer maximum point blank range, it would be great. I just find it horribly frustrating that you, one of the few men that actually understands BC, would make a comparison that's not even apples to oranges. Why don't you even make that video? take a good rifle say a 300 Winchester magnum your 280 ackly improved, get your hand load out make 24 cartridges super high sexy BC match bullet, make 24 of a Nosler partition, Swift a frame or ??? A GREAT HUNTING bullet. (As long as same grain bullet, same powder, same primer). Do three shot groups from 100 to 800 yards everything 100% the same. Show the viewers exactly on paper something they can see the difference on a high versus low BC bullet from 100 to 800 yards. Make this an apples to apples video. Thanks for your time. Jw
Sim-X looks cool. But, it scares me greatly. You see, we like to train with simunition. A brand of ammo. Commonly referred to as "Sims". This is paint ball with "real steel". "hey Dave you down for Sims?" "there is a 2v2 championship" "prize table is stacked" Now Dave, he probably gets it. He knows safety is paramount. This isn't his first rodeo. Dave checks, buddy checks, rechecks, and gets a third opinion before he ever points a "marker" at another person. Even though Sims require a conversion kit. It looks just like real steel, and feels like it too. You can never be safe enough. But ole' PVT Snuffy... He might think "Sims is Sims" "it says polymer (plastic)" "gotta be safe" Then Snuffy smokes Joe. We don't want Joe smoked, we want Joe smoking and joking. Sad choice of name. The Ammo stack stuff looks awesome.
This is what I watch shot shows for, innovative products and new companies I haven't heard of yet. Can't wait for SimX ammo tests on gun tube.
Without this video I would have never known you weren’t required to have 10 AR variants in your booth at SHOT show
That triple lite is a great idea. Especially with the rechargeable batteries.
The magnetic base did it for me. Stick it to your hood when you need to check fluid levels
I like the triple lite
I was just watching triplelite on a shark tank episode the other night! Pretty cool to see them at shot show
This video has been amazing! I appreciate that you guys took this approach and it’s been one of my favorite videos of shotshow2025

By far some of the most interesting things to come out of a disappointingly bland SHOT show. Thanks Ron & Tate!
Canada needs this ASAP.

Nice. This was fun to watch. Considering so many other channels cover what they think is the 'hot topic' right now, I was really just enjoying the video and then boom...it's over. LOL.
Love this, many just rehasch the same hyped products/guns. a lot of really interesting products.
Great video guys! Very cool stuff. Cheers 🥃🥃
Great idea for a video, instead of seeing all the same things as every other channel that's at the show. Love to see a part 2!
Thank you for showing odd stuff!! That’s the stuff and company’s I wanna know about. Good job
Thank you for doing that, please do more in the future. Triple light is interesting.
Cool gear, thanks for sharing!
