This looks fantastic, nice early model with the black outer trim! Not seen the engine cover pieces before, the black plastic strip down the middle and the covering over the TVIS unit... wonder if that's a very early feature or one from another Toyota model/an aftermarket add-on? I'm on my second Mk1 (late-year 1985) but it's currently awaiting head gasket work... hopefully next month! Don't ever sell it... you'll spend 12 long years like me wanting another...
Hope you get yours back soon! I have to say since making this I researched a lot more the differences between mode years of mk1’s and this must be a very early model, its missing the rear spats but it never came with the full length side skirt it was so early in production and I feel like it makes the car look way more classic, the mk1b definitely look more modern with body colour trim and more aggressive kit! Cant wait to get this one back on the road!
It's a good swap from a G6 to a mr2... but i still miss it. It would be a good project car. I have mine corolla for over a year. I did over 10k miles. I had a G6 interior and now i have the G6 cluster, celica/g6 stearing wheel, G6 grill, G6 frontskirts, and the bar for the front to make the car more stable. But i dont have time right now to install all this. Cluster is done until now... maintance comes next in next month
Got a white 88. Love it. Greetz from Germany
Looks good! The red seems to be in good shape too! Mine was 21 years in a garage without use - like a "garage find" ^^

Yeah the g6 was a great car and I’ll miss it dearly! I’m glad you’re enjoying your corolla, is it a 1.3 or 1.6?
@@engineboymedia its the 1.3L 86hp 1998. 216k km 125k miles. My second car
@@engineboymedia my first car was totaled after one year. It was a Honda Civic 7th gen ep1 1.4L 90hp bluegrey. With the sport package.
Looks good except the steering wheel is on the wrong side!
It’s quite literally on the “right” side! 😂
How much did this cost you?
That's a mk1b not a mk1a
