Rip, plow, disc, smooth, level. Great, great video! Be sure to take us along as you work on the 140 this winter. Your cameraman is doing a wonderful job.
I just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. There is so few videos on cultivating, especially on the garden scale. I don't care about a JD4020 6 row cultivator as much in Wisconsin. Your videos appeal to me cause your in the south and your doing what I want to see. I just recently acquired my grand dad's Cub. I am going to grow a bigger garden this year mainly to play with it. There is so little of that on UA-cam. I think your about 10 years or so older than me. I picked up a lot spending time in the summers with my grandmother. They always had big gardens. And my grand dad used the Cub to hill and cultivate. A cousin told me that was all he did with it, that they busted the garden up with his tractor. I was young back then and only can remember seeing him on the tractor once. My grandmother hoe'd the garden usually and not a brace of grass was in it.
@@Jtwes yep. Were almost exactly 10 years apart. Thanks I would like to see everything. I will be more playing around next year as I lean techniques and skill. I plan on having several rows of sunflowers. That way I can lean and the iron (cultivator) blight won't hurt my harvest too much.🤣 But plan on a few rows of corn and some okra and a few other things. This is all assuming I figure out the planter setup and everything is free and there.
Man I think you’ve got every attachment IH every made for that 140. I’ve got a question for you. At what point do you decide to go from discing to rolling. Clump size? Thanks
Little bit of several things. The ground was in good order and it didn’t have any trash in it . And what I was going to do with it didn’t require to much disking. Good question.
Thanks for making these videos. What's the plan for this spot in video? I haven't seen the roller attachment before. I've got plans to switch my 130 to 12 volt this winter and do electronic ignition.

That is awesome that grader blade does a good job
I rolled it again after the scrape blade and it really flattened it out.

I’ve been planting corn back to back there for about 14 yrs and I wanted to let it rest a few years. I planted fescue in it. Thank you for watching.
Talk about land prep! Are you fixing to hydroseed a lawn?
Nah I was just trying to make sure the fescue had someplace for the roots to go to.
Megusta ber sus bideos. Yo tambien tengo tractores en mexico
Gracias por mirar y ser parte del canal.
👍
HEY, can we hook up a Tractors Supply Rototiller to this Tractor?
I’m not sure. You might could with a 1 pt to three point conversion hitch.
