Im my experience, when an estate agent ask for £6000 it'll be £2-3000 less for such a house. That's what the local will tell you afterwards- that's you've paid too much. But if you can use it for an investment, then it still might be worth it.
Hi there! Hello - the house was recently reduced from 15,000 and we did offer less than the asking price - we would love to buy it but we are still waiting to hear about the sewage. This is a big issue in this country. Do you live in Bulgaria?😊
@@Escapetoasimplerplaceandtime Hi, Yes, I think you have enough experience with buying property and will know best. It looks like a good bargain anyway If it suits your needs. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to following your journey. I'm not there yet...but soon.
Its a nice house and the two rooms downstairs are even good enough to move in and then do the rest slowly. Id never install a heating system there, these old houses are heated best by wood stoves.
Isn't a 'soak away' drain not an option, if a septic tank can't be installed? This is where the waste pipe runs a metre or so underground, and just discharges waste water into the ground to soak away, as opposed to it going into a tank. There are countries in Europe where this is commonplace, in rural areas where there is no sewerage system.
@@perolagrande my husband - who knows about these things - says not - it would be okay for water - which I think is what a lot of the older houses do - but not for actual sewage😊 unfortunately the legislation has tightened up. ❤
Bless you! We are retired - we are in our 60s. But my husband spent all of his life in construction and he’s looking forward to this project. We will need to get an electrician, but I think he can do everything else himself - maybe sometimes with the help of another person if it’s anything heavy😊
@@Luke-pm1rb well that’s the issue isn’t it😊 there are so many empty homes! There aren’t enough people to fill them, so that’s why we’re going to use it as an investment opportunity to save up for our retirement - and in the meantime to rent it out.🥰
What a neat little property!
Thank you😊
Beautiful...
Thank you😃

Yes I agree - it would be nice to retain the original features and put a wood stove in the fireplace in the kitchen😃
Property here can be very affordable - however - there are things to look out for And The issue of sewage is one of them.😊

First thing make staircase inside. Inside gut job
Yes - we thought of putting a spiral staircase😊
@@EscapetoasimplerplaceandtimeSpiral staircases are very hard to get furniture up and down. Almost impossible. Not a fan.
@user-cz5bx5pq5v I totally agree but there isn’t room for a proper staircase. However, we would retain the side one😊
Hello, are you able to do the works yourself ? How old are you ? Have you enough money to give works to professionnals ?
Be blessed😅

uuuummmmmmmm...no, don't think so.
😊
Wenn you dont speak the language, forget about it. You will get into an social dark hole.
I actually am about halfway there - but we also have some very good friends who help us😊
Overpriced.
No - not for this village Sam - I know what you mean, but not for this village the properties there are very expensive😊
as soon as you mentioned air b n b i switched off
stop the greed people need homes
People also need to make money to live
Right...but there is a massive excess of homes all over Bulgaria that are decaying. Surely it's better that they are done up and are being used

Bulgaria is a country full of empty homes every village has them.
It’s better to bring one back to life
@@pkelly35 thank you - and yes I agree😊
