Just listen how great those albums "SOUND"!! Love or hate the songs, production is awesome! I'd love for them to at least get back in the ballpark of that kind of production some day.
I loved those albums. Both had great radio hits. Low Man's Lyric, for instance, really hits me. Fuel, Outlaw Torn, King Nothing, Mama Said, The Memory Remains. I could go on and on. So I don't know why people piss and moan about it.
James's Truckster has become the Live Premiere guitar,the first time he played it live they played like 3 mins. Frayed Ends,then he premieres Carpe Diem Baby then at Orion he used it to play Escape.
First time this has ever been played live.. NICE!!!! Love it.. Good mix.. Surprisngly good video from the multitude of cameras at the show.. Good editing too..
The tone achieved for the main rhythm sound on Reload for this song is one of my favorites of theirs. It just has such... substance to it. It's supremely textured. I guess I don't know how to describe it but it was a big high point for me on this album. Though I generally won't listen to Load/Reload because when I want Metallica, I want METALLICA, I do like the albums.
+Christopher Glassanos I just went on a rant about how great the production was for the load/reload albums. They "sound" GREAT!!!! Guitars, drums, vocals, bass, it all sounds great! Wish they'd get that sound again.

I think there's coming a DVD from this. look at the camera in the beginning, that isn't a normal camcorder. There's also a camera on Lars's kit
