- Welcome to Unguided, where I'm trying to complete every quest in old school runescape without using a guide, wiki or plugins. I'll only be using my limited knowledge and in-game learnings. Full rules below.

RULES
- No use of OSRS wiki (or any equivalent) for anything - this includes looking up item spawns, quest guides, boss guides, anything
- No use of any other quest helper sites
- No use of quest helper plugin
- Essentially no use of any outside-game assistance
CAVEATS
- I love OSRS UA-cam, I might inadvertently learn something I don't know by watching my favourite content creators, but I'm not going to stop watching them so that's just a risk I'm willing to take + it's unlikely going to be relevant for me
- I may use some QoL plugins, but only a few. Loot tracker to prove grinds, ground items so I don't miss drops (and to add cool loot beams lol) and left click to use bones. Nothing that will give me info I didn't previously have
- I'm going to try and avoid any spoiler comments. If you can, please try not to help me if there's an episode where I'm stuck on something. I appreciate the sentiment but telling me an item spawn or quest step could spoil the fun :)

If they ever do create a full alternate prayer list, it should be called hopes.

He might be the first person ever to both smash the ice with a d mace and then kick the smoke dungeon boss to death. Can’t wait to see what bizarre way he comes up with to get the other two 😅

@@DanielHatchman pretty sure its ice gloves, 99% of the time, anything to do with heat in osrs is solved by ice gloves

Gotta love that being in the desert means you take heat damage unless drinking water, but a volcano? Nah, you're all good.
Good Guy Alien Food: Inventory full up if he sources the bones from outside of the desert, doesn't want to kill a bandit to use a local's bones in the spells
Imagine how messed up that would be. You ask someone for bones, assuming it's obvious you mean chicken bones or maybe something from a desert lizard nearby, but instead you see the guy rock up at the bottom of the hill and kill your neighbour, then flense his legs so he can bring you some femurs.
I'm glad you managed to see a player when using the mirrors. You could always see a bunch of people in canifis!
Not only did you make it through the smoke dungeon on the first try barely within the timer, but I had no idea you could attack him barehanded! This series continues to blow my mind.
He had so much damn time, I remember needing stams

I believe Eblis accepts notes these days anyways, which kinda makes sense since there's the unnoter guy in his village 🤔😁
I believe that this playthrough actually IS the authentic RS experience. The game was created back in the day where information was still slow to spread and players were expected to solve the puzzles using in game information and word of mouth only. There also wasn't a hyper-fixation amongst players towards efficiency.
This series has quickly become my favorite osrs series ever

I am in disbelief you got the Ice Diamond using only melee and no Fire spells.

The quest guides have been exaggerating their importance
I was here for the community post but I'm happy to see the heron in video. The base rate to get a heron from aerial fishing is a 1 in 636,833. Very very lucky! :)
Nice work on the ice diamond. That section is generally considered the hardest of the four to get. Already hyped for the next part :)
I think the circumstances around the ice diamond are the hardest while the boss is the easiest. I hate the blood boss for example
@@Lichtkrieger13 Kamil can be pretty challenging too with his freezing shenanigans. Although, I suppose that, for an unguided series, even the fight that is considered the easiest can turn out challenging.

that guy who unnotes stuff in the bandit camp you found last episode coulda helped save a trip :) also love kicking as a solution instead of wearing ice gloves to keep your weapon on lol
At 6:25, I just kept saying "Drop the bones!!, then just kill a bandit for them"

my idea was to use the drop trick buy 2passes go in drop a item go out take another item than when you go back in pick up the first item you dropped but your way is much easier ngl

In case it comes up again with the full inventory at Shantay Pass, you can take the pass, go through, drop a few things to make inventory space, go back through, grab your other stuff and a new pass and be able to fit the full inventory in one go rather than having to go to your destination and travel all the way back to get those extra few items :)
For this particular case, he could have killed an ugthanki camel or a bandit for normal bones

You're stats were probably so goddamn low trying to smash that Ice with no pots I can't believe you hit at all
Then you go from that to elite gamer mode vs Fareed, what a legend
you miss some visuals like the ice path cause you have roofs turned off, theres a plugin that only disables roofs that your mouse hovers over it's really nice
This is my favorite quest series. This is the stuff I would have had to figure out as a kid years ago. Fantastic series! It feels comfy and is a ton of fun to watch!

This is the most relatable series ever. Runescape doesn't need nostalgia anymore but you embody the memories of first finding the game

Every single time I think I can't like this series more, the video ends by kicking a boss to death. This is genuinely one of the greatest series of all time.

I think this was my favorite episode yet! You're actually getting so good at this game despite not being able to use guides. Plus i was laughing so much at all the little quirks along the way. You're like a drunkard stumbling his way through life by sheer luck and tenacity.
Hell yes. More Unguided. I do kind of miss the "Welcome Back" to start off the episode (there's something so... warm about it), but this is good content as always!

We all know the logs can be noted when giving them over but ofc you wouldn’t know that without a guide but you could have banked the spell runes, bought a pass and dropped like five items. Came back for the stuff in your bank , pick back up your stuff.

Honestly you smashed that ice section so easily I'm super impressed. I remember watching slayermusiqs guide back in 2015 when I first did and taking heaps of food, super restores and gear to kill the boss. You made it look really easy. I was super stressed during that whole section the first time I went there.
This was a particularly good episode. I enjoyed hearing you thinking out loud and your paranoia about the chocolate cakes and such was hilarious

Its really easy to deal with the shanty pass problem in inv.
Go out of shanty pass, drop a few items, go back in, bring rest of items from bank, then go back out and pick items.
You can easily pass the gate with full inv this way
I will say: I was convinced kamil would wreck you with that inventory, but I guess your stats are a bunch higher than when I did it

Because of this series, I made a new Runescape account with the goal of getting a quest cape. Havnt played in 5 years. Prior to that short month of playing when mobile came out, hadn't played since 2009
My dude, I just got back into the game thanks to this awesome series. I'm also cracking on with challenges they I've never had the skill (or balls) to do, like RFD, desert treasure. I'm going a bit faster than you are 😂 but I'm using the wiki and the occasional UA-cam video.

Most likely it's his way of storytelling, that's it for me at least. Its his incredibly calm yet funny and sometimes ranty way of telling you his story and the lore of the quest

@jakepayne3327 yeah nightmare mode seems more impressive due to the accomplishment of not taking damage but has a lot less story to write. Yeah once it ends the story is insane but maybe less so if he doesn't succeed.
I remember doing the smoke diamond without graceful or stamina pots. Took 4 attempts and a crudely drawn map, but we got it before tip,it and Runehq published the guides.
I know it's a long ways away, but I can't wait to see you do DT2, that shit took me over 4 hours and that was with quest helper plug-in telling me everything, lol. I wouldn't have been able to figure the quest out without it. Love your vids as always

I love all the comments where people cant just let you do something wrong. We are so conditioned to efficiency-scape that folk have to vomit advice on how to do something faster when youve already done it.
The music of the Smoke Dungeon (Bone Dry) for some reason reminds me of Pink Floyd's song Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun.
You captured an audiance of people to watch you quest and most of us hate questing lol this game is a fkn trip
This series is great, maybe show some of the more normal stuff like the daily farming grind etc
