Edit: Looks like OBR did get nerfed in the most recent battlescroll update and they got off pretty easy in my opinion, there is no way they don't continue to be a solid army. Also I made an error in the video, I said the Crawler's debuff lasted until your next hero phase, that's incorrect, it's until the end of the turn.
Just want to say I love the videos and appreciate them as someone who has never managed to play a game, but still wants to be able to. Also I love your art! I’d love to see other armies!
What an amazing video! Informative, simple and amusing graphics, good audio. I'm just starting my OBR army and I'll definitely watch it a few more times to understand AoS and OBR a little bit more. Thanks!
Awesome video, everything very nicely explained and I love the mini art you have for all the units. Then seeing them all put very well into your tips section for the diagrams was great. Subbed and can't wait for more! Keep up the fantastic work! :)
Hey thanks man, ive been really considering these guys for a while and I think for a beginner they might be my first AOS army, very informative video with fun little art for each model
They are definitely an army I could recommend. Not too overly complicated, but still having enough depth gameplay-wise to keep things interesting. Also most lists don’t have that many models so it won’t be a ton to paint up.
@@rocomet It was either them or the idoneth deepkin which I do very much love more conceptually and aesthetically they just seem more of a hobby and gameplay challenge for a new player so OBR seems like a great first pick
I really like this style of army guide! I just ask that when you get around to the mono-god Chaos factions you also make a comment about how effective / what notable units are good to ally with from Slaves to darkness! :)
For sure, I mostly haven't mentioned allies much since 2 of the 3 armies I've covered Ossiarch Bonereapers and Skaven don't really get allies. For Slaves to darkness stuff their best units to ally in from other armies would be Be'lakor and the good cultist keyword units like Corvus Cabal, The Unmade and Untamed Beasts, since they can bring some interesting abilities that the mono-god armies may not have access to. Be'lakor in particular is especially popular, I'd be willing to bet he has seen more competitive play as an ally than in his own army.
In the Ossairch Bonereapers Allegiance Abilities “In addition, the restriction that you cannot use the same command ability more than once in the same phase does not apply to Ossiarch commands.”
I'd call it a mid-tier value box, not a must-buy but not terrible either. It's like a better version than the vanguard box for OBR since you get a better hero and less unimportant units overall.
Honestly, you are probably overthinking it, like I said in the video OBR subfactions are more of just cute bonuses rather than something you build the entire army around, at least not to the extent to how it is for most subfactions. Bring a Mortarch of your choice, a Boneshaper with the key artifact, and a solid amount of the revivable units like Horses and Immortis Guard and maybe Stalkers and you are set. And you can sprinkle in some other unit(s) you like the look of. Key thing is you want to lean into model regeneration slightly more to make use of your stuff exploding when it's slain
How to play the army?!? In short. You put Immortis Guard and Katakros in your List, pretend that your army is not that good, you are not that guy and remind everyone that they have been nerfed by GW. Then you win 3:0/5:0 at your local 1/2 day event and buy more Immortis guard with your 1st place price money. On your next event you play 2x Immortis guard, insist on not playing THE meta list and 3:0/5:0 again ;) For more details enjoy the great video
Yeah, a well fortified OBR Castle with Immortis Guard and Katakros can be one of the hardest things to make a meaningful dent in right now, which is probably the biggest issue external-balance wise with the army. Bit of a shame but hopefully GW will address it in the next battlescroll
Just come to the table with a soundboard ready with a bunch of soundbites like "Rattle 'em, Boys!", "You are hereby forcibly drafted into the Skeleton War, do not resist", and "Spooky Scary Skeletons, send shivers down your spine..."
You get 6 CP if you have 7 or more units, it's not worded very intuitively. So because it's cumulative it means you get every bonus you fulfill. If you have 7 units, you get 1+2+3 command points since you fulfill every requirement
@rocomet Wow... iv been playing that wrong then... it says when you determine your starting command points, I just assumed just the once when you start the game...
Yeah it's not an immediately obvious rule, the reason this is, is because starting command points are an explicitly defined thing in the core rules, check section 4.1.1

At this point I want you to ho through every army solely to see your art for all of them
The art for the Mortek Crawlsr made me realize just how that thing gets around. I didn't realize it was a centipede.
I love the simple art style
I love your art for each of the factions, it’s so adorable
Your art style and explanation is so cool and fun! Thx a lot! I’m looking forward to see more videos for all army’s.
Awesome video. I'm just starting the army and this is perfect. The art is also amazing, haha

Bruh love your content thanks for being a great content creator.
I can't believe how good the art is :D
Thanks for posting this guide! It was really informative 👍

Great video. Thank you.
The crawler is a textbook trebuchet. Iykyk
Please please please do one for soul blight.
I'll most likely be putting the next main video after gloomspite up for a poll, so no guarantee which army I'll be doing next. But it's a possibility!
very cute illustrate 🥰
i have 2 harvesters in my army, they are my best bone boys.
Please update :)🎉
Just wondering how do you get the liege kavalos to 4+ ward
Lode of Saturation (Artifact) + Impenitrable Ranks (Command ability)
May I ask where it says you can use the commands multiple times rather than just once?
In the Ossairch Bonereapers Allegiance Abilities
“In addition, the restriction that you cannot use the same command ability more than once in the same phase does not apply to Ossiarch commands.”
Thank you!@@rocomet
When i counter charge with portis praetorians, can i fight with the unit?
In the following combat phase they can be picked to fight assuming they successfully charged
@@rocomet so i can charge in the enemies charging pahase, and in his combat phae i can fight? :)
im new to the game , sorry for the quetsions

What do you think of the new Battleforce announced?

hey is there a chance you could cover the sub faction lists/tips? i cannot find anything on the crematoriums

@@rocomet yeah but i was talking more on lore. since they’re particularly the most “defiant” towards Nagash
I'm going to buy my 6 year old son and I the starter pack that has ogre maw tribes and bonereapers can't wait to get in AoS with the kiddo

How to play Bonereapers. - just move and roll dice, and you'll win.
dont forget to make like at least 20 bonezone-jokes while playing obr :D
Just come to the table with a soundboard ready with a bunch of soundbites like "Rattle 'em, Boys!", "You are hereby forcibly drafted into the Skeleton War, do not resist", and "Spooky Scary Skeletons, send shivers down your spine..."
Don't forget the Skeletor cosplay as the final cherry ontop
Sup mates, if i have 7 units on the table - i get 3 additional CP? Or 6? can u explain me about "cumalative"?
You get 6 CP if you have 7 or more units, it's not worded very intuitively.
So because it's cumulative it means you get every bonus you fulfill.
If you have 7 units, you get 1+2+3 command points since you fulfill every requirement
Katakros is 500p tho :/
In my opinion, it's a pretty fair price point for him, even with the recent points nerf to 500 points his war scroll does a lot of heavy lifting.
You get those command points every turn? Or just the start of the game?
Neither, start of every battle round
@rocomet Wow... iv been playing that wrong then... it says when you determine your starting command points, I just assumed just the once when you start the game...
