My friend had a goth wedding a couple weekends ago and I made her wedding dress and her wife's suit jacket! The goal was goth vampire princess and I think I accomplished that pretty well! I'm super happy with how it turned out and everyone at the wedding loved it. It's made of a corset bodice, with a separate skirt and sleeves, plus a goth fantasy cape.

2 weeks feels extremely stressful! Especially for a wedding…I would have been in tears throughout the process just due to stress…at some point I would love to know more about the drafting process you used! I have watched the closet historian’s method of drafting and it really makes my brain happy. That was very clever to leave a lot of seam allowance! I loved seeing the photos on Instagram! She was so beautiful! I loved seeing the process! Also I need to know where you buy your sweaters! 😂 I need more amazing sweaters in my life!❤
aah it was haha, I get super stressed out with tight deadlines! I mostly just drew a line for her center front vertical measurement, then drew out horizontally half her bust measurement (since that was the widest for the bodice), drew two more horizontal lines for waist and underbust, then just tried to subtract and curve out the difference between bust and waist/underbust. very unofficial haha. I ended up using half of an aranea black pattern for the back and looked at the front pieces for a guideline. I get most of my sweaters from morning witch, carmico, and s2heartbunny!

Loved the colors, shapes, textures, & fabrics ! I don't think the Cape needed more details - enough detail/interest on the dress/bodice.
I think only another dressmaker would see any fault with it. Especially since everything was on a short time line, your friend was remote & dress had to be brought in a suitcase !

I've had a couple friends also have goth themed weddings or goth-adjacent weddings in the past couple of years and I adore seeing the non-traditional dresses. You once again showcase how incredibly talented you are by doing this in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS !!!! I looove the cape and THE SLEEVES, the sleeves turned out so cute and flouncy. Your friend looks radiant in her dress and she and her wife look so happy!!! Amazing job!

At first I had some doubts about the color contrast, but the burgundy trim on the top and the black lace on the lower edge totally pulled it together!
