Here is a tip for people who don't use a net. If you have shorter plants, put them in the center of your grow space. The light is the most concentrated in the center footprint of your light. So in reality, you might have a much higher PAR value in the middle vs around the perimeter.
@@_S._S._ Why would you think that shorter plants require less light? Are you assuming plants are not trained and/or lollipopped? I'm not growing for the lower popcorn buds. I'm growing for the colas. Sorry, don't agree with you here at all. To each his own. Good Luck!
@@idiomkrone shorter plants don't require less light, taller plants need more though. That's why the shorter ones end up in the sides. Lollipop them all, go for the colas. Longer colas need deeper light penetration than shorter colas.
Man, I've been watching some of your older videos for tips and you're really helping me out! This is only my 4th season growing outdoor here in lower Michigan. Getting better harvests every year. Thanks for teaching newbies like myself. ✌
I can speak to the importance of flipping to flower. I had a beautiful, even canopy. I thought the timer was 12/12 and let it grow up while I was out of town. The plant continued to grow until I realized they weren’t in flower. So I finally switched to flower correctly and the stretch got out of control and grew up past the lights! 😩 I ended having to Top about 6” - 8” . So now I lost all the top flower sites and now just have a bunch of small nugs and 50% light intensity because of how close they are to the light. 🤦♂️
I wish there was a way to show you the ladys I have. I used the training methods you spoke about this year too for me 6th run The one lady is a perfect square 2x2*2 tops are even looking at it from the top it's a 2x2 square and it's about 2 ft tall the the other girls less uniform but side by side they fill the 2x4 nicely. I'm glad you reminded me train during veg get your basic shape down and once you flip to flower week 2/3 the most important basically determine your final yield,Laser level canopy.
If your not doing a scrog, and your light is dimmable, when you flip turn the light up , but start of week 2 give it an extra level up. Seems like too much light but it really wrangles the stretch. They still stretch but not nearly as much. Can't remember who to credit for this tip but I've done it three cycles now with consistent results and same strains. Scrogs prob better but different strokes different folks.
The difference between night and day temperature drives stretch the most from my experience. 10 Celsius difference and you'll see them shoot for the sky 3-4 degree difference and it's moderate stretch
Awesome video! GT knows what he’s talking about here!! The trellis net absorbs the stretch, days 8-23 of flower is definitely where the magic happens. Excellent advice about the lollipoping too

Great tips on the importance of an even canopy. Managing the stretch was always the most attentive time during the grow for me but it’s worth it at harvest time 👍
I never knew that, so if your leaves have crows feet and have curled down turn your globe up. If they are stretching up towards the globe turn them down
I was a bit confused since the first time I watched this awhile back and took notes, so i just re-watched and got it cleared up now... to say 50% thru week 2 of flower and then 75% from weeks 3 thru 5, and I was wondering but what about that 3rd week in-between, but then i realized you meant to switch up at the Beginning of week 3, not the end of it, as in day 14 or 15, (so I nailed it this time) and likewise day 35 (end of wk 5/beg wk 6) would be when to switch up to 100%. Thanks! 😃 i wonder if waiting that extra week till the end of week 3 to go up to 75% may be why my previous runs started getting some dark hairs early, resulting in small buds.
If using a trellis net get a good quality one recommend plastic or better materials than string or rope .. when cutting the material will fray little pcs all in buds no bueno..... great videos bruh we all out here trying 👍

If auto, they pick when going into flower all by themselves. But usually between 3-5 weeks For photos they have a 4 week seedling the. You can flip after a 1-2 weeks of veg at the earliest
For photos it's more like 4 or 5 weeks. Even then some are slow to flip and take up to two weeks. 12/12 from seed usually takes me 5 weeks to start showing. So I tend to veg 1 to 2 months at least before a flip. Ideally you wsnt to wait until they're half the height you can handle. 12 to 24 inches works well for me. Just my two cents worth.
