Nobody mentioned Rappa so I will. She was a lab experiment who was infected with a "memetic virus" that filters her entire existence to her through the lens of cheesy ninja mangas, so she can only process everything she goes through as, well, a super over the top cheesy ninja story. So she permanently believes she's in a ninja story. Still, she works as a freelance "superhero," hunting down the faction that experimented on her, so she really does do good, it's just...good luck talking to her without picking through the ninja names she's reassigned everything around her. She can't even directly process her own trauma very well- she just kind of sees it as her ninja backstory.
So Jade (the lady who wears a lot of jade) is basically the game’s version of satan in human form. Shes the snake that tempted eve (but she’s also referrential to eve, as she signs her contracts with that name). In her splash art is the apple and the tree, a giant purple snake that represents her, she signs contracts, makes deals, etc. BUT, she’s not a HORRIBLE person, she makes sure the downside to every deal is well known by the people she speaks to and she spends her time with orphans and kids, frequently giving to them when she can. There hasn’t been much of her in the story yet, but when she does get screentime it’s usually to drop a bombshell or cut a deal with a character.
@@Saladfork1929 contracts? Yeah I can see that! Seems like she’s always fair with her deals. I like that! She seems like a cool character from what you described
The dragon man is Dan Heng Imbibator Lunae (Lunae= moon, hence all the crescent moons in his outfit). Imbibator Lunae is a title, not a person. Dan Heng is a partially reincarnated Vidyadhara (a long-life species that are basically dragon people). Vidyadhara cannot reproduce, they can only be reborn. But if a Vidyadhara dies before they can undergo rebirth, then they can never be reborn again. This is why the Vidyadhara population has been constantly shrinking. Dan Heng's lore is that in his previous life, he was Dan Feng. Hundreds of years ago, Dan Feng was the Imbibator Lunae. He was part of the High Cloud Quintet (Basically a group of badass friends who fought together). One day, one of the members (Baiheng) died in battle, and everyone was sad. Dan Feng attempted to resurrect Baiheng with the help of a friend. This attempt backfired and created an abomination, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Vidyadhara who could never be reborn again. Dan Feng was arrested, tortured, and was subject to a forced rebirth, resulting in the creation of Dan Heng. However, Dan Heng's rebirth was incomplete, which is why he still retains memories and powers from his past life. Dan Heng was also imprisoned, before being banished from his home planet and joining the Astral Express.
fyi the title Imbibitor Lunae likely refers to an actual moon, the secret Plaguemark of the Vidyadhara mentioned in Bernini's notes and depicted in the sculptures at Exalting Sanctum and well as in the murals at Scalegorge Waterscape. As for Dan Feng, we simply don't have enough information to say for sure what he did or why.
NICE VIDEO ! ill comment abt sunday's section :33 - the two angels (sunday and robin) are siblings!! - yes he is so angelic hehe - omg you noticed the thorns !!! and the eyes on his design - "trapped in a bad situation" ha . haHa .... - fallen angel.... 👀👀 - OH HIS LORE IS SOOOO COMPLICATED it's so much fun to talk about him arrgghhh - and ofc your fav characters are those two that i like too ... I CAN TELL YOU SUNDAY'S LORE IF YOU WANT 🙏🙏
@LovesOfLauryn OOOKAY brace yourselves - sunday (and robin) are twins of the halovian race (humanoid with haloes and wings) - they lived in a planet ravaged by a stellaron disaster (stellaron is referred to as a "cancer of all worlds"; imagine a cancerous cell on an organ, and replace the cell with the stellaron and the organ with a planet) - so during that disaster when they were kids, their mother died protecting them, and this left a lasting impression on the twins. Robin adopted her mother's hope in that situation, while Sunday carried the fear he experienced. - The planet was found by The Family (a faction that serves under the Harmony and its Aeon "Xipe", which believes in the "strong protecting the weak") and the two were saved - Later on, they were adopted by the Dream Master AKA Gopher Wood, a highly influential individual as he found potential in them (little did the twins know he has nefarious reasons for it, because Gopher Wood actually follows the Order instead of the Harmony) - Robin has an innate talent in singing, Sunday has a talent for instruments but was pushed towards pursuing academics and becoming the future leader of Penacony (their new home) because of his intelligence (asian parenting basically lmfao) - They found an injured bird one day, Gopher Wood asked them about it, and he learned about Robin's ideals about letting birds have freedom to fly VS Sunday's about caging birds to protect them from crashing to their death, and this led to Gopher Wood to single out Sunday for his plan - GW began separating Robin from Sunday in subtle ways (different studies, whereas while Robin studies her passion, Sunday studies on how to be a leader) and basically started indoctrinating him on the ways of Order, telling him stuff about how the Order will bring salvation to the people instead of the Harmony - Robin then left Penacony to start on her tour to different worlds to sing while Sunday was left behind, which is part of GW's plan. While Robin was gone, GW went further with instilling ideals into his head (the bird they cared for had died, which ended up damaging his perspective as a whole since he genuinely believed in his sister's ideals and set the bird free instead of caging it) - Robin followed her ideals and basically became an activist around the galaxy, while Sunday loses his childhood innocence as he was given the task of listening to every people's pleas (basically someone you confess to in a church) before becoming the next Head of the Family - Years later, he heard from GW that Robin got shot in the neck (thankfully she survived it) which led to his worldview shaken and the last hope he had for Harmony leaving him, whcih is ofc part of GW's plan. - Sunday finally believed that the Order could save the people - Charmony Festival happens (basically a festival in their place to honor Harmony) but GW and Sunday had a plan to use it to resurrect the Order instead - Robin comes back and several forces come into play to basically stop his plan once it was found out - GW finally tells Sunday that he was his goal all along and not Robin, (basically telling him to his face that he was manipulating him) next scene GW dies (idk how idc hate that man) - Because of this, Sunday changes his plan and disobeys his father. Instead of sacrificing himself to resurrect the Order, he will instead use his life for making a dream where everyone can be in the happiest version of themselves (basically a dream where no one has to work hard and everyone will be free from everyday problems) - This plan is tempting but it's still bad since it's taking people's freedom to choose, which boils down to Robin's ideal of freedom vs Sunday's cage - To which they realize that it was actually Sunday who was in the cage all along, the one who fears to fly because he was scared of falling (banger metaphor i love sunday so much) - Sunday was still open to different ideals than his and being fair, so while he was an antagonist that time, he asked the MC to "sever his path with their hands" if they think they can save more people that way (he genuinely cares oml we dont deserve u king) - They defeat him, he ended up falling, and Robin catches him. But only Robin can fly, because of the manipulations GW has done to him has ended up with his wings being "clipped" (another metaphor) and lets himself crash - Later on we see Sunday being chained because of his crimes to the Family, and then he was allowed to escape secretly because of Robin's deal with Jade to let him go - Sunday went on an excursion (in disguise) around Penacony to say goodbye and dismantle the Order that he implanted all throughout - One of the MC (Welt) bumps into him and accompanies him, later it was revealed that Sunday learned, that to truly understand the sorrows of the common people, "one must walk alongside them instead of just listening to them", so he destroyed his halo to feel pain and to live as a human and to die as one - he ended up facing himself in a battle and had a moment of clarity about everything, then his halo regenerated, like symbolizing his "rebirth" - as of now, he asked if he could board the Express (the train where the group of MC travels) alongside them. Welt allows him to join because he can see how genuine he is in trying to find new perspectives to making his paradise that he dreamed, so basically he is a part of our (MC) team now YAY - he says goodbye to Robin while in his disguise, because travelling across the galaxy, he knows that they might not meet sooner, their farewell is so sad i cant explain it here, but sunday refuses to say goodbye to her in person (he thinks Robin doesn't know it's him but she actually knows because he's bad at disguises) - Robin wishes him a very happy journey and she was happy because the Sunday who was scared of flying the whole time is now trying to broaden his horizons and have freedom of his own - one of Sunday's character story shows a letter saying goodbye to Robin before he embarks on the Express, ending it with "on the road, your big brother". After him going from "your biggest fan ever! Xoxo" to "Head of the Oak Family, Sunday" after his indoctrination and going back to an informal and sweet closing ..,, I love them I love their lore so yeah ... So the angel/bird siblings are Robin (girl in cage) and Sunday ("fallen angel"). You got a lot right! They are indeed siblings. They are Halovians, which are a race of people with angelic features like halos and ear-wings. Robin is an intergallactic pop sensation with actual songs that feature in the game. Sunday, her brother, went through a bit of a moral quandry and fell to the Order, a dead Aeon (god), trying to resurrect them through himself. He essentially fell from almost becoming deified when we whoop his butt in the storyline and now he is on his redemption arc. His whole thing is wanting to "overcome the thorns" and guide others on a better path rather than using Order to keep people safe and in line. You were correct about the religious imagery. Obviously, his name is Sunday...but his music is also very grand and church-like, there's a lot of Catholic symbolism used in his storyline and he even used to take people's confessions like a priest as a servant of the Harmony (the Aeon who usurped Order). Saving an injured bird also plays heavily into the storyline between these two siblings, and the driving factor behind the conflict. He believes he must cage Robin (the injured bird, and also humanity) within Order to protect them from each other. But Robin wants freedom, and understands that sentient species all deserve to be free, we can only help them choose good and do good ourselves, not seek to control others by putting them in a cage (in this case it was a giant dream illusion overseen by the Order). Side note, I loved that you loved Jade =)))) She really is the businesswoman who gets things done haha.

once again, spot on! you’re really good at reading imagery. the angels, robin (the girl) and sunday (the boy) are siblings. their story is pretty much a conflict of ideology. sunday wants to protect people at the price of their freedom, but he’s proven wrong by his sister, who upholds that the right of choice is important- that’s why you see her in the cage! she’s the bird he wants to trap in a gilded cage, but the bars are also broken- she’s stronger than that. i love them both a lot because they’re a very human tragedy- a conflict born of the desire to protect and help their sibling
oh god im so glad you asked someone to tell you his lore when you asked if he and the other girl were related, you would be correct they are brother and sister! basically what happened is that their mother got killed by something when they were kids and they both got adopted by a very shady man who would constantly put robin's (the girl) ideals down and try to persuade sunday into ideals that actively harmed him an others. robin eventually went away to become a famous popstar and learned about humanity and what peoples needs were, and sunday stayed within the grasp of their adoptive father and got indoctrinated into a religious belief that people needed to be caged to be protected (also why robin has a cage around her, shes breaking free from the cage that sunday believed she needed). sunday wasnt malicious, he genuinely believed that he was doing right and constantly agonized over his decisions and beliefs and thoguht that he needed to control everyones life in a giant dream so they never suffered again. in the newest update he realized his ideals were wrong and set about to change them, and hes currently joined the main cast on their journey so he can figure out what he wants to do and how he can find a better way to help people that isnt taking away their autonomy

Just saw your new video! I'm weirdly invested in your commentary about the costumes you dissected. You certainly caught on many details even without context. - They found an injured bird one day, Gopher Wood asked them about it, and he learned about Robin's ideals about letting birds have freedom to fly VS Sunday's about caging birds to protect them from crashing to their death, and this led to Gopher Wood to single out Sunday for his plan
- GW began separating Robin from Sunday in subtle ways (different studies, whereas while Robin studies her passion, Sunday studies on how to be a leader) and basically started indoctrinating him on the ways of Order, telling him stuff about how the Order will bring salvation to the people instead of the Harmony

- Sunday went on an excursion (in disguise) around Penacony to say goodbye and dismantle the Order that he implanted all throughout
- One of the MC (Welt) bumps into him and accompanies him, later it was revealed that Sunday learned, that to truly understand the sorrows of the common people, "one must walk alongside them instead of just listening to them", so he destroyed his halo to feel pain and to live as a human and to die as one

OMG YOU REVIEWED SOME OF THE CHARACTERS I REQUESTED!!! Anyway here are some more!

That is all! Love your videos so much and will def tune in on part 3 ❤
You should do Genshin Impact one, too! It is a game from this same company and it has so many interesting designs I would love your opinion about.
@@a.e.7081 i definitely could. If I did do that one. I’d probably focus on my favorite designs since I actually did play that game for awhile
once again, spot on! you’re really good at reading imagery. the angels, robin (the girl) and sunday (the boy) are siblings. their story is pretty much a conflict of ideology. sunday wants to protect people at the price of their freedom, but he’s proven wrong by his sister, who upholds that the right of choice is important- that’s why you see her in the cage! she’s the bird he wants to trap in a gilded cage, but the bars are also broken- she’s stronger than that. i love them both a lot because they’re a very human tragedy- a conflict born of the desire to protect and help their sibling
oh god im so glad you asked someone to tell you his lore
when you asked if he and the other girl were related, you would be correct they are brother and sister! basically what happened is that their mother got killed by something when they were kids and they both got adopted by a very shady man who would constantly put robin's (the girl) ideals down and try to persuade sunday into ideals that actively harmed him an others. robin eventually went away to become a famous popstar and learned about humanity and what peoples needs were, and sunday stayed within the grasp of their adoptive father and got indoctrinated into a religious belief that people needed to be caged to be protected (also why robin has a cage around her, shes breaking free from the cage that sunday believed she needed). sunday wasnt malicious, he genuinely believed that he was doing right and constantly agonized over his decisions and beliefs and thoguht that he needed to control everyones life in a giant dream so they never suffered again. in the newest update he realized his ideals were wrong and set about to change them, and hes currently joined the main cast on their journey so he can figure out what he wants to do and how he can find a better way to help people that isnt taking away their autonomy
Love these types of vids you could do anime reviews or romance or even talk about anything i would watch.
Aww thank you 🥰!!! Your too kind!
Just saw your new video!
I'm weirdly invested in your commentary about the costumes you dissected. You certainly caught on many details even without context. That's just to show your sharp intuition and the artists ability to convey each characters' concept.
I wonder if you'll ever do a Genshin Impact version. HSR and Genshin made by the same company but their character design choice are vastly different.
Subscribed!
P.S. YOU LIKING SUNDAY (the guy that looks like an angel) IS A "PASS" FOR ME.
"I don't know anything about fashion but that will not stop me" me when I play Infinity Nikki. anyway this was entertaining again even if I hate Jade's current design [but I enjoy her as a character, I support women's wrongs!!] but as long as you like my bb bird Robin, 10/10 would watch another
@@haroldtheylez I be changing my Nikki’s outfits every second lol.
Why you do jade like that! Not women’s wrongs 😭!!!
I would like to inform that the angel thorn guy is the Malleus of HSR. Would love you to react to him if you decide on playing the game 😂
@@moommooomalleus you say 👀lol !!! if I did play the game, how long would it take to meet him?
@@LovesOfLauryn depends on your speed…might took between a week to 3 months lol. But I’d NEVER recommend you to rush this game at all due the vast lore of this game with all these different factions across the universe.
I never thought about it before, but you are so right with Malleus and Sunday being similar!
A lot of Eyes is just biblically accurate angel x
I'll just timestamp the characters since everyone already has the lore tidbits covered ^^
0:53 Jade
2:37 Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae
3:56 Robin
5:06 Gepard
6:20 Sunday
8:03 Rappa
and if you truly don't plan on playing the game yourself, I'd recommend at least giving the character trailers a watch to get more familiar with most of the cast. if you plan on keeping this design review a series, you could limit yourself by only watching the trailers of the characters you've already seen.
Rappa (the last, pink haired girl) keeps calling herself and other people, like us the MC and our friends, "ninja" so it's insane and also funny how u got that ! 😂
She calls herself "Dazzling Ninja" and gives us similiar silly ninja nicknames loolll
@itisnotVioletatall Rappa is such a cute name! I like that more than dazzling ninja lol
Atp i would lovr to see u play the game as well but this is so nice and u got alot of stuff right on the money❤️❤️
@@harliwatches thank you for watching. Im happy you enjoyed 💕!
Not gonna lie, the more I make these videos the more I’m curious about the gameplay
@LovesOfLauryn its basically turn based if you're into that! There are some unique gameplay mechanics but for me i love the story much more than the combat LOL
Btw the first girl Jade she belongs to the same group as Aventurine
@@M-m585 what group is that again?
@@LovesOfLauryn the ten stonehearts. all of them have codenames after gemstones, naturally, and they work as basically independent "cleanup" agents of the megacorporation of the setting :)
No bc biblically accurate angels are truly creepy 💀☠️
More pls hahaha
First to comment finally
@@sammyg6399 Congratulations 🥰🎉!!!!
@LovesOfLauryn Thanks. I really love how accurate you were on Jade. The first lady
