I knew some ants gather seeds to eat. But I didn’t know they made supply depot, and supply line. 😁 it’s fun to learn new things about ants every day. Ants are the closest thing to human civilization in our world, from the animal kingdom. 😁 I like to refer to them as Mini Greeks, playing war and civilization.
It is what they do. They are amazingly organizes. But keep in mind that they had millions of years to evolve.... Human species is quite young in comparison .
@@AntsDocumentary assuming the Theory of evolution is true. I personally think the theory of Intelligent design, is more likely. But I get your point. 👍
Wie üblich von dir gewohnt, Tiptop Infos, my Messor b. are the slowest-producing species of ants I have here on Iceland (and the only colony) but i got one Major, almost the same size like the queen, i think after the winter they will have a drive...
@@AntsDocumentary Yes true, they are very sensitive to noises and vibrations and I also live in an earthquake zone, directly on the edge of the North American, Eurasian continental drift, but that only interests Messor B. My Lasius n., camponotus nicobarensis/fedtschenkoi, T. lylanderi are multiplying splendidly and the queens have successfully established their colonies.
If they don't perform trophallaxis, how does the queen get water?
It’s just me or these ants are super classy?
They are, indeed!
I kept a colony of these few years back. My new M barb Queen coming tomorrow. This is just in time to brush up ty 😊
Let me know how it is going!

Yes they ca be slow. Are you sure the room temperature is hot enough?
@@AntsDocumentary yeah, their nest is partly on a heat cable, the temperature can-´t be the "problem" maybe the queen is just a bit lazy.
@@AntsIceland She is a slow starter! Sometimes can also be the vibrations, the sounds, the lights... the beginning is always tricky!

@@AntsIceland So it looks like a mystery to me. If you find out, let me know!
Thank you for this video!!
You are very welcome!
Thanks for that. I definitely need to raise them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so cool!
Good choice. They are among the most easy to have home. You just need the good setting to control humidity.
@@AntsDocumentary yes I read about it. I let you know when I have my first colony!!
@@demkru Please do!
