Believe it or not i have the state record for river redhorse in arkansas at 9 lbs 3 oz i catch them on slip sinker carp rigs. when i first started fishing for carp and buffalo it was because i saw your videos of catching carp and i wanted to feel the fight so i feel you are part of the reason i accomplished it! keep making great videos man
Great location! Fun catching fish not knowing for sure what is next. I like the way you fish. Get in a spot showing most use then staying there trying a few different baits/hooks until you have it dialed right in. You are very nice encouraging your fishing partner to get in on the fun!! Nice day fishing!
I totatally agree. Stache Norris is the master at making good fishing content. I uploaded a video this morning of the bass we caught yesterday. 38 largemouth bass. Come check it out.
I looked up Northern Redhorse (identified as Shorthead Redhorse.) Northern Redhorse is one of several alternative common names as is my favorite name, the "Des Moines Plunger!" 🤣 Said to be good tasting but has lots of bones. Thanks for the video Josh !
Well stache man you definitely have to get some minnows & crawlers for this spot next time you go, & maybe some cut bait down stream see if anything bites it……great multi species catches😊🎉
Stache Norris!!! What a perfect name for joshypoo!!! I uploaded a video this morning of the bass we caught yesterday. 38 largemouth bass. Come check it out.ua-cam.com/video/vSEW6jXNeVo/v-deo.html
You have no idea how good you have it brother. Within 3 hours of where I live I have the choice of bluegill, largemouth bass, and channel cats with the occasional perch or pickerel in a lake or trout chubs and suckers in moving water with a very occasional smallmouth. Never seen a white bass or wiper and I've been fishing 30+ years.
Not sure where you live, but there should be a lot more species in creeks, smaller rivers, and lakes. I live in a city/suburban area and we have tons of different species.
@@andrewboyce7268 nearest river is the Susquehanna about 3 hours away. Creeks are very cold mountain fed. And local reservoirs are just small panfish and largemouth. I enjoy fishing so much I've considered moving somewhere but just never got around to it. You can find a crappie here and there but even the lakes are cold mountain lakes. Our state fish and game doesnt stock anything but trout as far as I know and the local lakes were only stocked the year they opened and not since. South central Pennsylvania. Dont get me wrong I enjoy what I can get but theres not a big volume of species. Most everywhere is posted no trespassing and land owners string cables and fences to prevent kayaks from getting thru. Just a little sarcasm in my comment. I'm sure I could get into many varieties at the river if it weren't such a drive. I get there a few times a summer. The trout fishing is really good here. I've been told the Falling Spring creek is some of the best in the country.
Wisb youd have shown off thst smallie. Prettiest pattern on 1 ive seen. Awesome man. And ive seen you xatch carp in the mouth before. Think it was around the time you caught the faceless fish years ago
I live in iowa right on a great walleye and smalley river but currently the redhorse and white suckers are running up river you can catch them by the truck loads
Redhorse are so common in the rivers up here in Minnesota. They love nightcrawlers on the bottom but you have to watch you rod closely cause alot of the time they hardly bite its just a tiny nibble. When they spawn they can be aggressive but some OF THE BEST CATFISH BAIT THERE IS
The shell rock river here in Iowa is overpopulated with them. It comes from a lake in Minnesota but they will rip your rod out of a rod holder if your not careful
That was either a Golden Redhorse or a Greater Redhorse, there's a silver Redhorse too but that wasn't one, there's a couple other Redhorse too but those three are the main ones throughout the states.
You should count your blessings you have access to every dribble of water to fish in Nebraska. I live in NY and fishing is HIGHLY restricted everywhere you go. (Bank Access) Even a damn cow-pond has "No Fishing No Trespassing" signs surrounding it. Totally pathetic and depressing.
@@JiggyjarjardoM77 That is EXACTLY the truth I couldn't have said it better. Every access point by shore has been overfished and the odds of catching are nil. I've tried to convince myself this isn't true but time and time again not catching a damn thing proves it to be true. I appreciate your commiserating with me. I try hard and catch so little. It's defeating and depressing. I used to love fishing anywhere in the Hudson Valley. Now I find myself traveling further away for good bites. Good luck to you. Thanks again....😕
So if that’s the place I’m thinking it is on the south side of town by the a block west of the maverick gas station there is a bait shop there on south willow with a tin roof
P.S Love your background music. There's something depreciating pathetic and slightly hopeless about it...Kinda like background Charlie Brown Music haha Is that what you were going for LOL j/k its great
Do you ever go out with strictly ultra lite gear? If you went out with a ultra lite, 8lb line and maybe a 1” Gulp minnow it would probably shock you how many different species would wear you out. Lol
Awesome place that was, you caught more than a handful of species. Probably a big ol' kitty waiting for you. Thanks for taking me fishing!
Used to fish Lake Maloney a lot when I lived back home. Love that place

Heck yea man, another great vid, hope all is well with the family and such.keep at it....they won't catch themselves.!it's a full time job lol.
I don’t get to fish nearly as often or as long as I’d like. I totally fish vicariously thru the ‘Stache!
Ohhhhhhh!!!! New spciiiiiies Stache man! That I've seen anyways. Stache and Ash fam!
When you go fishing there, try chicken liver. I always catch a lot of fish and one a cought a carp on chicken liver thier before
It's just amazing to see all the species of American fish you catch, so many nice fish, great colouration and markings.

I caught a red horse last year below our local dam. Only one I've ever caught and seen and had no idea we had them there.
Good day when I see the notification right after it’s uploaded, let’s go💪 been loving all the vids recently
Stache man is a an absolute master baiter
Sometimes, when your homie is struggling, you gotta give em your spot. That's what good friend's do.
Looked like a dope spot, can’t beat the variety either! I need a day like that SOON🔥 great vid, homie
Here in Kansas, at Milford Lake, and the way I’m used to fishing with moving current, I would’ve been stubborn and only thrown top water lures 🤣
One of the best fishing youtubers out there. I get excited every time a new video comes out and I have been following for years and never disappoints.
Hell yea i agree josh is the best.. i uploaded a video this morning of the bass we caught yesterday. 38 largemouth bass. Come check it out
Dude that's an amazing video. My wife and I fish there and the outlet evey year and it's always a good time.
Nice redhorse bro. Im starting to like the odd and not so common fish.
I’m about 79% sure that was a shorthead redhorse. One of my favorite fishes.
Great show! Always entertaining!
We camp there about every other weekend. Live 10 min from there and I fish off that exact same rock you started from.
Well stache man you definitely have to get some minnows & crawlers for this spot next time you go, & maybe some cut bait down stream see if anything bites it……great multi species catches😊🎉
That is cool man! I would love to catch one of those!
Stache Norris goes catching, not fishing, because fishing would imply he doesn't catch fish sometimes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂 that was great

Looks like some deep sides there, don't want to fall in like you did with Murray.
Enjoy all your content...keep up the great work.
Sweltering stash whole! All hot and sweaty, drooling on things. Can not keep a package of crackers dry for the life of me.
That looked like a lot of fun catching quality and odd different species
I caught my pb walleye right there
awsome lake

I caught my first white bass today in Central Oklahoma!

Josh I've caught plenty of Red Horses that have eaten lures, also caught Commons on lures, they will both hit in the right place
Hey follow that canal down to the river great spot
Man brother I got to get out west, the fishing looks so good
Wisb youd have shown off thst smallie. Prettiest pattern on 1 ive seen. Awesome man. And ive seen you xatch carp in the mouth before. Think it was around the time you caught the faceless fish years ago
Hey ur in my town you need to go fish the tell race but you goin to lake mac
Man I can’t wait till I make it to Nebraska this summer
It's just a red horse sucker , and yes I've had then pound twister tails! It's crazy happens alot here in Minnesota
Good musky bait tho
I used to catch baby redhorse in Minnesota on the pine River and fed them to my grandma's cat when I was a kid
Congratulations to your dad
I live in iowa right on a great walleye and smalley river but currently the redhorse and white suckers are running up river you can catch them by the truck loads
I like how your buddy took one of your baits and your spot and i didn't get a bite🤣🤣🤣
Good ol Lake Maloney 😂
Nice video. Red Horse? It's a stinkin carp.

What's up with 402 and the boots. Cracks me up
Comment for the algorithm. Love ya brother!
Great vid !
When are the Stache Sticks coming out?
Red horse will bite lures for sure. I had one eat a 3oz tear drop behind Kirr Dam and he slammed it like a striper.
Red horse are top five flathead baits in my opinion where im at in Missouri where I'm at
How and where do I find a stache rod about 7 foot spinning that I can use for crappie and walleye I can't find them on the 6th sense website
When are the stache sticks gonna be available for purchase
Red house are awesome,we have a lot of them by me.
I would fish for carp in the Mississippi river white water with jigs and spinner baits. Caught carp this way up to 40# plus
yes plz small blade bait!
I'm here, those redhorse suckers are hard fighters
Yeah they are angry.
I’ve seen some 10+ pound drum caught on the opposite side.
keep up the good work, do you think you can get Ben to come back and shoot a video with you?
Nice 10 minute spot!!! 😂😂😂
What big camera do you use? I’ve been interested in getting one but I don’t know where to start.
That was either a Golden Redhorse or a Greater Redhorse, there's a silver Redhorse too but that wasn't one, there's a couple other Redhorse too but those three are the main ones throughout the states.
Red horse are great catfish bait
I had to pick up one of those shimano reels after hearing them
For a spot that was supposed not be good that looked like a gr8 day of fishing
The slice is the only blade bait i use
what setup you using?
Has 6th sense mentioned a price point on the rods?

Growing up in NY I could fish everywhere... you're right..not anymore and if you can fish there aren't any fish..

@@12982evets yes same and in the Hudson Valley area also .. I even tried a state park pond in copake "stocked" with trout and caught nothing
Yeah, that’s California too, fishing is almost treated as a crime, I had to get a kayak so I can get it done
Could have been a state record!!
I swear I heard you call it a whale-eye🐋🤣
Midwest Tour ha
You Stache monger! Thanks for the content so I can go fishing from my recliner!😅
When the Stache stick dropping
Shout out to all the Mustachioso.
This thing of ours 🥸
So if that’s the place I’m thinking it is on the south side of town by the a block west of the maverick gas station there is a bait shop there on south willow with a tin roof
StacheMan
So why do YOU use a blade bait instead of a rattle trap? Is there a big diffence? I’ve never fished a blade bait.
Basically the same bait. Blade bait is a bit more erratic and it falls much faster. Both cause a reaction strike. Probably just his preferred bait.
P.S Love your background music. There's something depreciating pathetic and slightly hopeless about it...Kinda like background Charlie Brown Music haha Is that what you were going for LOL j/k its great
What's a wiper?
White bass and striper hybrid
You should let your friend reel in a few😂
That's where I caught my first flathead
I think it’s just a river redhorse lol
What state are you in in this video
they remind me of mountain white fish in Northwest around Pendelton Or.
Yurrrrrr
Stache infection. LoL
Whale eye?😂
Stache I been watching you since you were knee high to a wild hair growing out of your upper lip!

Red horse 100% eat lures. They are the bane of my existence where I am, hit like a ton of bricks and roll over like they're dead 30 seconds later.
100% a Shorthead Redhorse, Moxostoma macrolepidotum. I hold the Wisconsin state record
How big is it?
I thought the red eyes were rock bass.
Some smallmouth have red eyes as well
Was it a RoseGold sucker 😂
And stuff
Oh the agony. I had to like and this and moved it from 69 to 70 😢
My like made it from 869 to 870
👍👍👍
Like a red-headed stache child
Shorthead Redhorse
Told you man king of suckers lol
They go up to like twelve pounds or more and they will hit shit
