Awesome vid guys! I installed an lc2i into a friends audi a5 fastback. The accu bass sounded like the epicentre's octividing action which I don't like. Hurts my ears lol. I swear it puts in some subbass square harmonic or something. It would be would be wonderful if you guys could spectrum analyse an epic in action for a lab vid. I'm sure everyone would be interested to physically see what an epic does xx
I've got an Audi S5 Sportback and have been having an issue with the sub randomly failing to come on when I start the car. I'm currently using a Wavtech Link2 with a JL Audio 500/1 amp and 10" shallow mount sub. I'm thinking about switching the Link2 for the L2Ci--did you have any issues with the Audi's B&O system like I've described? Do I need to add an AC-LGD resistor as well?
Great video, your attention to detail and craftsmanship is awesome. I installed a LC1i to my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat which has the B&O system (not the unleashed). I added a single non ported 10" subwoofer with a 400 watt amp. I tied it to the factory installed subwoofer speaker wires for my line in and the rest is wired as you did in the video, works GREAT!!! But, i noticed when i turn off my truck and open the door, the music stops, the factory deck turns off but the LC1i and amp remain on for just over one minute. I tested and its pretty consistent. I also noticed that when I open a door the LC1i and amp turns back on and stays on for just over a minute with the deck off. I'm thinking there is much electronics in these newer vehicles and perhaps why I'm experiencing this, anyone else experience and what did they do to resolve?
i had a lc2i with my factory headuniit and loved it. got a kenwood headunit now and just left the lc2i in the car but turned off the accubass. I think from memory the accubass sends a clean 8v signal to my amps, where the kenwood sends a 4v signal. nyhows lc2i is a good unit
Can this work to enhance a 2019 ram with the 19 Speaker Harman Kardon stereo. I have noticed the bass roll off just as described in your video. Please do a video on this vehicle when possible.
I think I need the LC1i.. for some reason I have to turn my gain almost all the way up on my fosgate p1000x1bd.. I didn't have any problems with other Amps I used and tested. It seems to not see the signal..
Can you use that new lc1i line driver after the lc2i to clean distortion so that subs can hit alot more powerful without distortion light lighting up like Christmas trees? Basically setting lc2i ( maximized) then hooking line driver up and maximizing that, then the amp should be able to finally pound harder and higher on subs without the amp light coming on. Bass fanatic here, thanks haha.
Any Idea when this is going to hit the market? I have a 2017 Chevy Sonic that i bought a Pioneer TS-WX70DA Powered Sub and was interested AC LC2i but this looks a lot easier to set up.

Question.... My Kenwood Deck has bass roll off choices of -6, -12, -24 db but no off switch. What is the best setting.. And does it change gain settings. I used to have bass roll off at -12db but changed it to -6db....do I have to re adjust my gain?
I have this installed on my 2019 street glide with the factory boom gts head unit. With HU volume at 75% I couldn’t get the “maximized” light to turn on even with the level knob maxed out. I measured output at the lc1i with a multimeter set on AC volts and it maxed out at 1.9v. The lc1i should be putting out 9+v. Have you seen this before and do you have any advice? Thanks
Five Star, I do not have an LC2i, BUT I have a LC7i. Would the things you demonstrated on the video work for the LC7i? I have seen your videos on the LC7i and others as well, AND I'm still confused about it. I wrote to Audio Control and I'm still confused about it. Would you, OR ANY OTHER posters know the answer to this question I have about the LC7i: I have high level inputs going into it, my radio is AN AFTERMARKET Kenwood receiver (it does have the RCA line pre-outs in the back of the radio. I CHOSE NOT to use them cause at the time of installation I did not have the correct length of RCA cable, PLUS, I researched that the LC7i can output up to 8 volts to your amplifier, so hence my reasoning for using the high level inputs. YES, Audio Control also makes the DQDX, and another processor DQ-61 I think, that I can use RCA line inputs with to get even better sound.) Now back to my question, Is the OUTPUT coming from the LC7i to go into your amplifier a High level input, or a Low level input? My car amp can accept up to 4 volts using the RCA's, and up to 10 volts using the High level inputs. Thanks for reading my question, WHOMEVER could answer it.
Low level comes out of the LC7i, same with your kenwood rca pre outs. You need to measure the voltage coming out of the LC7i going into your amp making sure it doesn't go over 4v. You can avoid that step by just using the rca pre outs from your kenwood head unit
So happy to find this channel. Question if im simply adding a sub to a stock system, can I use the LC1i on the factory sub signal? I have previously used a basic rca converter so I do know it doesn't need a load on it. Any info is very appreciated.

New to this channel, I found myself binge watching. Question... I see you use a lot of audio-control products, I’m not sure which to use with what setup and why. Can you tell when and why you would Use/need these products?
The products shown in this video were Line Out Converters, also called high-to-low converters. They take the speaker outputs from a stock radio, and convert that to a low level RCA style output, that carries the music signal to an aftermarket amplifier. These are great for integrating more powerful amplifiers while keeping the factory head unit (radio) in the dash, especially if you want to add an amp and subwoofer to a stock sound system for better bass.
To explain further, these are active LOCs, not passive. That means they’re powered so they can push a better, more powerful signal (as well as accepting a powerful input signal), while a passive LOC might lose partial signal before the amp. Also, the AccuBass feature is unique so if your factory radio rolls off the bass it will restore it so you have a matching bass signal all the way up to your max clean volume.
I asked this question in the lc2i video, but the lc2i pro is basically the same, ao any help would be appreciated. Bear with me here. I have an Acura RSX (Bose system) with an aftermarket Kenwood head unit that has a 5V pre-out. I’m replacing the old amplified, self-contained Bose spare tire subwoofer and replacing it with a new amplified, self-contained JBL BassPro Hub. I’m keeping the front factory Bose amp. If I’m thinking about this correctly, the front factory amp just carries a remote turn on and speaker level outputs to the sub (it doesn’t amplify the sub), so is it even worth it to use the lc2i pro from the front factory amp to the new JBL sub, or should I just bypass the speaker level outputs from the factory amp, and instead use rca cables from the 5v pre-out in the Kenwood head unit to the JBL sub? I’m not sure, but I don’t think it matters if I bypass the factory amp (and ditch the lc2i pro), because the subwoofer isn’t amplified from there anyway. Am I correct in thinking this way, or in my case, is there still a benefit in using the lc2i pro?

Do you have the base system or the "premium Infinity" system? Either way I would look at a LC7i, will give you nice clean RCA signal to build off of. A nice pioneer gm d9705 and the focal integration series speakers and a nice 10" sub
@@cruisertechgt I ended up installing the Rockford Fosgate DSR1, instead of the lc2i. full range response is awesome and more control over the whole system.
@@cruisertechgt dsr1 is a full blown digital signal processor with line level or rca inputs. 8t gives more control over the entire system (fronts, rear, subs) where as the l2ci is a single in with bass correction only. Dsr1 allows for full system tuning.
Don't think I ever answered your question. As long as the signal is getting tied together between the front and rear speakers (which the DSR1 does), you don't need accubass. The front speakers do not play full range, whereas the back speakers do. The DSR1 ties both together, so the bass is there. You just can't use the stock fader to the front. The bass will be gone....
