For years, we used an old Troy-Built rototiller to break up and prepare our family garden for the season. Nothing could beat it. Our garden was probably 50 x 50. I miss those days.
I love the name "Huntman" for Hunter. My step brother was similar to him.Kevin was his name. He couldn't talk, only sign language. And like you have said before about Hunter, Kevin had to put every last thing back in its specific place and had to have the same routine. He also loved putting 100 piece puzzles together. But he wouldn't look at the pieces, only flipped them back and forth with his fingers, feeling the shape of each one until he found the one that would fit. Truly amazing to watch. I miss him greatly. They are definitely God's gifts to us. Permethrin by Sawyers works very well for killing ticks. Just spray your boots and pants. Thanks for all your content. Enjoy it so much!
Hey Mike, Thanks for sharing. Great video. Take care, all the best, and God bless. A retired North Pacific, Bering Sea, and West Coast Commercial Fisherman, and survivor, ✝️🇺🇸🗽🌊⛴🌊⚓️
Hi Hunter! 👋 Boy The Skidsteer With Graple Goes Right After The Brush!! Dose a Nice Job! And Makes Pretty Quick Work Out Of It!! Keep Smiling On!! 😀👍👊❤
Nice video, Spring chores, you gotta love it. That grapple really is the ticket, a great multi-purpose attachment for the skid loader. Ticks, fleas and mosquitoes will be bad this summer for sure. I just hope the heat won't be too extreme. Thanks for sharing!🙏🚜❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
GOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!…HELLOOOO HUNTER!!! Mike any chance you can take us for a ride on the quad through some of the other trails down by the pond and maybe up by the old apple orchard just to see how things are after your wind storms? Looking at the surrounding area where all those trees fell you sure have a daunting task I had of you clearing all that… I for one look forward to watching your posted videos as you get it completed. Hoping you and your entire family had a very nice Easter & Have a Day
We treat our clothes with permethrin for the ticks. Usually our pants, socks and T-shirts. It works really good and one treatment will last around 5 wash cycles. Just be aware though if you happen to have cats it is poisonous to them in liquid form. Once dry on your clothes it's fine. Coming up soon it will be yellow fly season here (North Florida). I can't stand those things! I use the grapple on my skid loader more than any other implement. It works great for cleaning up downed trees and clearing land (along with other tools/machines).
Mike I feel you have the correct thinking about not spending 3 to 4 days on possibly getting 2 cords of wood. Some people do not realize how valuable your time is. You can buy more firewood but you cannot buy more time. Each of us have a limited amount of time on this old earth. Good to see the Hunt Man is out and about. Hope all is well with the Morgan family.
Mike , I have been using a foam cannon on my pressure washer for about 5 years now and this year I got a short handle for it. It makes it much easier using the foam cannon and cleaning vehicles. I put some quick connects on so I can switch out the wand and short handle.
Love your videos I start my day watching you guys I like how you look at the life you have some good thoughts on things and I listen to every word can't believe how fast Eva is growing she has become an awesome young lady you and Milesa have done a great hop raising your kids if everyone would have raised their kids like u guys did I have no doubt the world would be a lot better place worries me how things will be for my grandkids
I cant believe all the storm damage you got!, but that new grapple sure makes clean up easier!, Unfortunately I got lymes desease 14 years ago from a tick mushroom hunting, it was on me for about 3 days and a big red bullseye. I could hardly walk it attacks your lower joints, and eventually causes bad arthritis in your lower joints over time. I took meds for 30 days and after 3 days I could walk again, I've been fine other than a little arthritis!. So we got some noisy guennias cause they eat ticks and havent had one on me or the dogs for 10 years!. Morgans good day!.
Best demonstration of a grapple I have ever seen. Always wanted to see one rake like you did... Can't wait to see that field done and planted... Christian really likes his Uncle... Bring him up to the house and teach him how to operate the machines.... I know it's no fun, but later in life you would enjoy seeing him, your son and your daughter out there running the equipment... Who knows you might need them around to change your diaper! 😂😂😂 At least teach them how to not kill it... The jeep looks great... Oh and grease , love seeing it... to many never grease there equipment....
My neighbor down the road across the way called me last night, "Hey, when are ya gonna put that tiller machine on your tractor..." LOL! It's that time of year!! And I had my pressure washer and foam cannon out yesterday, washed the wife's car, my car, the truck, and the wife's old car that she whacked a deer with last fall, and the camper. I think we're leading parallel lives, LOL!! I've been waiting to see that big grapple in action... can you see the teeth from your seat? Do you have a level bucket indicator on the SVL? Did you bump into any trees while you were out there in the woods, LOL I would have for sure!
I am tilling for my wife today. We have been very windy here in NH for several days and it has helped to dry things out. Still have a lot of snowbanks though.
Hey Mike, at the 10:15 mark is EXACTLY why I have a grill guard on my tractor! I even went so far as to hang a strip of conveyor belting on the inside of my grapple to prevent logs and sticks from coming through my grapple and into the tractor.
The Sawyer Permethrin anti tick spray on your clothes works amazingly well. It last for 6 washing. Put a live tick on a treated fabric and it kills it in seconds. Hopefully it will kill the supposedly new strain of ticks that are infesting our area.
Yup, Permethrin!!! I've been using it for 11 years. Never had a tick on me [my skin] since I started using it. I'm out like Mike most days on my 35 acres. I have some areas that are infested with ticks. Large areas of blueberry bushes. I can walk through there and see the ticks get on my trousers. They don't last long. 😋
Watching you tilling Christian's garden patch, have you given any thought to Chris Guin's (Lets Dig 18) idea of combining saw dust into the soil to make great compost....Regards Robin....
I agree that grapple and skid steer is a great combo. Just a thought, to protect your cabin from sticks get some mesh like you have on the cabin. M@ke a frame to connect just behind the fully open grapple. I have seen dozers with such protection for scrub clearing. Happy Easter you and your family.
Last summer I had a large welt at the sock line on my ankle and 40 jigger like welts around my a lower ankle and foot. After three months of terrible pain and a little swelling in my hands and forearms and shoulders which jumped from one joint to the next, I went and got tested. Turns out it was Rockey Mountain Spotted fever. 90 days on a strong antibiotic and the symptoms are gone and hopefully stay that way. Southeastern Indiana.
Hey Mike, the way we get Ticks out is give them a good spray with bug repellant,(Airoguard here in Australia)wait a few seconds & they unlatch without pushing any poison into you.... Just thought I'd mention it, Cheers from Australia
I have always felt you were very good at salvaging and re-claiming downed trees. Definitely agree you have to balance work time vs pay back. Not every dead or fallen tree makes good fire wood. Nice to see the Hunt Man in action. Love that grapple. Excellent tool for your clean up operation.
You keep that up and you'll need to consider the forestry kit for the Kubota ;). If you manage to do that field without getting a scratch on the SVL I'll need to do some serious reflection on how we are doing it here in Texas... Nice job!
I have that same brand of tiller for my bx24, it really works great. I see M&R is having kubota days this coming weekend, are the Morgan’s going to be at either location??
Hey Mike, I picked up a new GS 1572 Land Pride land plane at Messick's Carlisle store. I am excited to get my farm lanes in shape and keep them that way. I need to give Larry Wert at Messick's a shout out, he has always been first class.
Eva provided Pops with some video content, which led to some free advertising for the foam wash and attachment. That's REAL equity! Good job, EVA! lol...
A skid steer is probably better and easier to see what's in front of you over a tractor I would think. I don't own one but would like to. But then with a tractor you can use implements like the ones you have and I have. I don't have as much property as you do. I bought one of those foam cannons a few years ago and it's fun to put on the soap. Where I worked they used a soap cannon that was a little different looking so they could spray down a mining truck, then hose it off with a heated water and then they could tape up the parts they didn't want painted.
Excellent videos from behind the grapple in front of the skid loader cabin! I could see exactly how + what you're doing. Wonderful! From New Fairfield, CT
Wow Mike, o what hydraulics has done for America. I can hear when you close that grappler bucket on the sid loader, it snapping large limbs, like they were nothing.. Very nice, can you imagine, years ago, when people did all that by hand.. o man, weeks and months of clearing.. love the vids. Bear
Mike, After all of the work you did at neighbour Cliff's place, is there any chance of seeing the finished article, by way of an update...Regards Robin.
..............G'day Huntman, saw your Dad having fun on the "four-wheeler", scared himself shitless. That made me laugh, I do it often. Please tell Mike he may look after my machines any time at all. Morning Morgans...I am outdoor person spend a lot of time hunting out in all the seasons...ticks & chiggers are nasty particularly in the spring and fall...I read an article about 6yrs ago on how not to attract chiggers & ticks and I swear by it.... Excellent work as always. All those people who say you're wasting firewood wouldn't come out and get it. Why do I see Mike as a guy who would rake the woods? Anyone else?
Hey Mike you guys ever thought about a garden. As busy as you guys are wouldn’t have time for much more than a herb garden but it’s good practice and you can store the stuff to expand if you want / need too.
Hunter is lookin good! I swear if you had bleachers off to the side of that clearing I bet you’d fill them up every day with guys like me who would just like to sit and watch you run that equipment. We’d be known as Morgan’s posse!
It was good to see Eva. She’s always got that smile. It was also good to see Hunter. Tell them both hello. That grapple on your Kabota works great. Cool video. 👍❤️

Nice to see Eva in this video. I love it when you use the grapples to. That’s pretty cool.
The Honeydew soap really makes the Snazzleberry shine 😆
Eva thanks for helping your dad out
Great to see the Huntman, hope he's doing okay. Easter greetings to you and your family.
He is doing good
Good Morning Morgan Family! I hope you had a relaxing Easter weekend.

Gotta say I'm a bit jealous to see the green grass. Still a bit of snow in my yard and lots of brown grass
Love the grapple , got mine from everything attachments ,wicked 55 , great addition to my 2601
Good day Hunter.
Eva havin fun in the jeep! 🤟
There is know more of a satisfying sound than the crunching of limbs when you grab a pile with the grapple.
I love watching you run that skid loader. Out of all the equipment you have, it's my favorite.
That’s a big brush pile there Mike. Looks like you have some burning to do this week.
Looks like it’s going to be to dry to burn this week, I’m not complaining though
