i love these guys. RIZZO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey, i got to meet sepultura in 91 on the arise tour. we got there super early, ran into andres, brought him back to my truck for some bong hits, he was real fucking cool. napalm death walked by and hung out for about 30 seconds, saw the bong and left. the head security guy noticed me with my pot and approached me. i thought i was gonna get busted. he hit me up for some joints and thru the whole show he had me hanging out on the sound booth, and kept hitting me up for pot, it was awesome. no one could leave the show and regain entrance except me! me and that security dude kept going out to my truck (next to the tour buses) and smoking joints, rolling joints etc. i think i was supplying the bands for the night with the amount of pot i sold to this guy. i must have rolled and sold 40 joints. after the show, the barricade was up in front of the buses, some security guy was being a dick to me, then his boss (my new friend) came and got me, we went to the sepultura bus and went on board to smoke a ton of pot! it was fucking great. i didnt meet Max, he was spent from the show, I think he was super drunk and passed out. it was Igors 21st birthday that night. the only guy in sepultura that spoke good english was andres. pablo didnt understand a word i said, he was timid but very polite. igor was cool as hell, barely spoke english but hung out. they invited us back to their hotel to party, but it was sooooo late, i had to drive for a couple hours to get home and i was super stoned tired. so i went home:( i should have stayed and partied with Sepultura. what a wasted opportunity. when i found out about sepultura splitting up and the way Andres handled it really pissed me off, cause andres seemed like a real good dude. you know andres was originally just a roadie for sepultura in the early days. he got lucky and was invited to be in the band, years later pretty much stole max & igors legacy. what a dick. these guys sound was better than they did as Sepultura.
I totally agree. Max is the man! His music is LEGENDARY to me.

I will never forget the first time I heard INNER SELF, sung by MAX...
The vocal style is the same as the original Sepultura versions. The difference is that his accent is gone so it doesn't sound as tough and rough as it used to. I would know I have been listening to the Cavalera Bros. music since the beginning of the Sepultura.
Eu sou fanzasso do Max e do Iggor, porém os cara lança disco novo e nāo toca as músicas novas, eu esperava ver "not losing the edge" e "Bonzai Kamikaze" que sāo ótimas músicas do Pandemonium, mas Max sempre toca as músicas antigas do Sepultura.... Mesmo assim foi um ótimo show esse.

Igor sounds badass. Max is a shadow of what he once was. He doesn't scream properly anymore let alone play guitar.

Puede ser que Max no se haya cuidado lo suficiente como para hacer los shows de los años 90, pero ha dado y sigue dando mucho al mundo del metal y sus discos lo demuestran, una pregunta..quien con esa edad aguantaria en buen estado el ritmo que lleva durante 35 años??
