Whoever's idea it was to show the Zombie Special for the first episode on CN was a genius. I was immediately hooked on the show after that! Also, I could be wrong though, I remember this episode airing after an episode of Goosebumps back when CN used to air them in October
I live in canada so I saw the acctual first episode as the first one I saw. Where caitlyn gets the job at the The Big Squeeze. I also live in the city they had the mall from and have been to this mall (west edmonton mall) like 50+ times in my life. We know it's West Edmonton Mall when Jude comes back and tells the gang in an episode that he counted 900 and something total store in the mall.
Watching this episode, led me to a dream about a zombie who became a ghoul because he was a vegetarian. After being a zombie for like 10 minutes, he bit someone’s shoulder/neck and puked cartoonishly. He then got up, got upset that they ruined his new suit and started fighting zombies. 10/10! Would dream again!
6Teen was wild. This special was also a Halloween special that I recall teletoon pushing hard as new content for their Halloween season. Zombies were huge, if it came out a few years later I'm sure it would have beem vampires.
I don’t recall this episode scaring me: I was more bewildered that Darth’s lightsaber actually managed to cut a zombie in half. I always assumed it was a model lightsaber, so I guess that’s the other fantastical element of this episode. Also, the only thing that CN aired that actually traumatized me was the Courage the Cowardly Dog episode, King Ramses’ Curse. It was the only episode of the show I watched once and never watched it again until I was an adult when I started revisiting cartoons from my youth.
I got traumatized by many episodes of courage lol, but yeah I think they made the episode Jude’s dream so they can go more crazy and give darth an actual lightsaber which is still so crazy, like I can hardly say lightsaber on UA-cam without getting a copyright
I loved this special. I actually didn’t know 6teen was coming to CN until the episode premiered (I didn’t get to watch it then cause I had to leave the house when it came on) and was blown away at the fact that they brought it back because I loved it when it aired on Nick. When people told me there was a Zombie episode I was confused, cause this show is relatively realistic, but damn I loved this special and watched it religiously on UA-cam in 2009!!!
I had to go over the Dave and Busters line again a few times, I work there lmao. A personal level of cringe hit me hearing my workplace being mentioned with dragons xD
Okay, so I wasn't crazy for thinking this was the first episode of the series, I just didn't know they aired it out of order in America. Seriously though, this episode terrified me as a kid, to the point where I got scared of the clips from the episode on the Cartoon Network website. Looking back now, as an adult, it's easily one of the funniest episodes in the series and it was a hilarious way to start airing it for us freedom folk.
This was how they introduced this show to America. Like they didn't run the show for a bit first, no, the first taste we got on Cartoon Network was this. I didn't even know it was a show at first. I thought it was some random Halloween cartoon like Scary Godmother or something.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. I really want to make a big push on UA-cam this year, and one of my bigger struggles is picking shows and topics I think people will like so any feedback and suggestions are always helpful!
@@Colby2D I hope you manage to reach your objectives this year! And well, an interesting show I would suggest you picking is Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, kind of a forgotten cartoon from 2000's Disney, but I believe many people such as I have good memories from watching it back in the day
I only ever watched two episodes of this show, I think, and the first one was this. Forever cemented this show as incredibly weird in my mind since the zombie thing was never mentioned again (I don’t think I saw the end of the episode, so I thought it really happened)
I was researching for a vid i was working on and I stumbled across this video. And omg I completely forgotten about this special. I blocked it out because it used to scare me 😂 now I have to go back and watch some of your other videos
Lol yeah I made a video on the ending to 6teen and so many people told me they were traumatized by this zombie specia which really surprised me, because I was scared of everything as a kid, but not this for some reason
I could have sworn I had seen episodes before this one aired on American tv. IDK I saw it when it was't airing in America yet but I vegualy remember an episode before this one
I saw the special and was disappointed that the whole show wasn't the Zombie theme. The show overall wasn't really my style but it was one of those shows when nothing else was on I'd pick that
The dream ending would be a bit stronger if they kept the intro a bit longer with Jude's sleep deprivation. At least that way they could start the show in reality before going into his dream. Like have that gag about him staying up, then cutting to "the next day" (really the start of the dream) or something.
@@Colby2D they should of had it where Jude dreamt all this crazy stuff but in reality he was taking a nap behind the The Big Squeeze and the reality was similar to the dream but when he woke up everyone was like Jude what the heck man the malls about to close and ron the rent a cop is about to kick our butts let's get out of here. After explaining the crazy day they just had to which Jude replys "sound like something similar I did, Oh wait it was that weird ass dream I now realize I had about everyone is a freaking zombie bro, ah wicked!"
@@WohHappy hmm, not sure if it would be the 6teen mini golf game, I looked at the web games on the wiki and didn’t see anything that jumped out to fit that description
That’s cool! Yeah In canada it aired at the end of season 1 which made a lot of sense, so it’s interesting you might share the American experience of seeing this first lol
We had another good Canadian Cartoon that came right after the end of 6teen called The Dating Guy which was a group of college friends in Toronto getting up to almost 18+ content so it was on teletoon at night in canada at like 11pm
This episode was both confusing and amazing. It definitely got me hooked but also airing this episode basically spoiled a lot of plots we skipped like Wyatt’s breakup with Serena for Chad or Jude puking in Star’s mouth. So much would confuse you had you not watched the beginning
Yeah basically any romance mentioned already happened throughout the season it was pretty odd. They definitely wanted to swing with their best shot first lol
The zombies never scarred me. Jen popping her pimple leading to that did. Even today I cant watch someone do it. And that fake pimple popping fad not that long because people found those "satisfying" were awful for me. I had to avoid YT shorts for so long because it was unavoidable and still freaks me out
The zombies never scared me. However the ending 🤢 But I wont lie. I can not see anyone else pop a pimple even now as an adult without wanting to vomit and getting a cold sweat. It freaks me out so bad and I attribute it to this episode. It made me so uncomfortable and grossed out as a kid.
i remember seeing the zombie special advertised and asked my mom if i could stay up late to watch it, since I had seen the show on a different channel when I was younger and was interested in watching it again, I don't remember actually thinking much of the special itself though, but it does stick out in my memory as one of the more memorable episodes besides the one where jude and ron just watch porn for the entire episode
shocked that in your summary you failed to mention that the zombies that take out the main cast are each related to them... noteworthy aesthetic also "i'm too lazy to put in this joke so just imagine it" was very weak execution

I'm so glad that it was zombie special. It would be hard for me to take vampires seriously
Did they think the goth kids were vampires or am I imagining that

This episode definitely scarred me for life when i saw it LOL ive been scared off of Zombie media since.
I understand, I was scared of zombies a little bit after call of duty and zombieland
This made me not want to watch this show as a kid
Agreed agreed
I was already scared of zombie media before, but this made it worse.
Yet, I cannot bring myself to look away, wanting to see a good end to it all.
Funny thing about the mall cop, I've been a security guard for years and a ton of former soldiers end up working the same job
Anytime a cartoon made Zombie episode it never failed to give me nightmares

The dragons invading Dave and busters is one of the funniest commercials and I hate love it
Ah yes you mean the best episode of the series, like the show isnt bad but that special is just too much hype
Are you going make video on 6teen snowjob special or lights out episode or WrestleMania episode?
I may make a video on the 6teen specials someday!
Another good one is the episode crissy is caught by Niki getting trained by Darth and Niki laughs at Crissy for being in the Jedi Knight Club
I WASNT THE ONLY ONE TRAUMATIZED BY THIS SPECIAL
You are very valid

I always find it so interesting it scared a lot of people because I was scared of EVERYTHING as a kid, except this. Thanks for watching🙂
This is my favorite show
I remember the sandman from Martin mystery being terrifying as a kid
I’ll have to keep this in mind for when I watch it soon!

That’s funny it feels like a crazy special like them, and it was never like that ever again. (Also I love keroro, goated name and pfp)
He literally says that in the video bro
The other best episode was the one called Snow Job
The is one of the frist episodes I saw of this show
Cant believe im the second comment! Amazing vid, im pretty sure ur channel is going to become huge soon, your content is great!

Hmm, I’ll have to look into it
I found it, if you google “6teen pseudo-ku”
