Personally I like the idea he was fired and before anyone was notified he got rid of his replacement. Sure a lunatic makes sense (and the real on probably will be thousands of times better) but still
I think that would make a lot of sense, considering they talk about previous years at the camp or how long lumpus and slinkman have known each other, so more than a summer could make sense in your version!
I was passively listening to this guy, thinking he was another channel with like 100k + subs talking toons but nah he's the opposite. You're amazing dude!
Thanks so much, that’s such a big compliment and really motivates me to keep working at it. Are there any other shows you’d like to see me cover in the future?
Thanks for the video! Interesting stuff, as far as voice actors and writers. It is SHOCKING to me that Douglas Lawrence, Edward's voice actor, isn't the same as Chazz Princeton's VA for Yugioh GX. They are such similar characters, similar voices... Ah, Tara Strong snuck into this show too with a few minor roles! Every cartoon, I swear. 😮
Importantly to know, there have been few foreshadowing hints throughout the show about Lumpus’s being a lunatic. • Although the real scoutmaster said that he was locked in the closet all summer, Lumpus was said throughout the series to have been a scoutmaster for years and to have inherited the title from his relatives, though Lumpus could have lied given the fact that he is a lunatic. • In "The Big Cheese", a police officer describes Scoutmaster Lumpus, who's driven off in Commander Hoo-Ha's jeep, as "A bloated escapee from some asylum". The final episode reveals that Lumpus is indeed a crazy escapee who imprisoned the real Scoutmaster and has been living his life since then. • In “Tomato Paste”, Edward the Platypus earns enough badges to graduate from Camp Kidney to Tomato Camp, but after watching images of the Tomato Camp, he decides that he does not want to go. Edward then eventually confesses that all badges he has are fake: he had ordered them from a costume shop because he wanted to impress the other scouts. Lumpus somehow responded, “Uh, you’re not the only one. HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT THIS JOB?!?!” Edward asked Lumpus if his life is a complete lie also but Lumpus quickly changes the subject. • He never pays Slinkman, which was heard in “Prickly Pining Dining” and coincidentally, when Chef McMuscli fell ill, the entire camp goes to the nearby town of Prickly Pines for a meal, but Lumpus decides to leave without paying. Since Lumpus is an escaped mental patient, he does not carry any cash in his pockets. As punishment for not paying all the meals at Beef Lumberjacks, the manager of the restaurant sentenced him to be a mounted wall moose head. • Lumpus has a fear of getting into trouble with the authorities or anyone he crosses paths with. He is highly scared of Commander Hoo-Ha. For example in “Where’s Lazlo” special, when Lazlo disappeared, the entire camp is shocked. Lumpus trying to come to grips with Lazlo's disappearance, but only due to Lumpus' fear of Commander Hoo-Ha, not over any real concern for the missing scouts; e.g. pulling all phone cords so Slinkman would not contact Commander Hoo-Ha even forcing Samson to eat a banana while trying to act like Lazlo. • How did Lumpus behave as a scoutmaster after robbing the real scoutmaster’s position? Well, Scoutmaster Lumpus has nicknamed the Iron Moose for his tough, disciplinary command even though he was pretending to be someone else. Camp Kidney used to be a more dictatorial camp, where everyone obeys the rules so that Lumpus can keep a spotless record in the camp until Lazlo came. • “The Battle of Pimpleback Mountain” revealed that Slinkman occasionally hits Lumpus with a frying pan when the moose has his ‘episodes’ (backed up by Lumpus going insane during the events of the episode). He displayed mental and emotional immaturity in “Movie Night”, where he became a trembling wreck when seeing a scary movie, but was at ease when watching a children's film. Lumpus's insanity is hinted at in the episode, “The Wig of Why” where he actually thought Lazlo had psychic powers.
You want another Under the Sea connection to this show several of the female characters are voiced Ariel the little mermaid herself Jodi benson and as always she does a fantastic job
I didn't appreciate Camp Lazlo for what it was when it came out. It always seemed a little too kiddy, and I was an edgy teen who was trying to get away from stuff like that. Meanwhile I was still watching EEE, Billy & Mandy, and KND. I'm glad it got a satisfying ending though. You really don't see that with many of these shows of the time.
Definitely, the show annoyed several of my friends and was definitely a bit more upbeat and cheery than the other CN shows, but I love the animation and music and characters. Not my favorite CN cartoon, but great nonetheless
7:45 the fact that people even care about the ethnicity of a voice actor at all is beyond stupid, the point pf acting is to PRETEND. People who are that concerned over things like that is why the entertainment industry is creatively bankrupt at this point
@@twindrill2852 and you actually just proved my point with this statement right here, I want the better voice actor regardless of what skin color they have. The whole idea of this is stupid and it's a big reason why Hollywood is falling apart even as we speak because producers and directors are more concerned about meeting a checklist of quotas the hiring the best voice actor and whether or not they are the same pigment as their character rather than if they do the part well or not.
The alien invasion collab that went across all shows was wild
It was, I remember the Ed Edd n Eddy one the most
I knew Edward sounded familiar. The VA is Plankton, Larry the Lobster, and Fred (my legs fish) in spongebob lol
Of course I paused right befor this info was stated in video LOL
I think Edward is my favorite character, but the show has so many accomplished voice actors that have dozens of other big roles it’s very funny lol

@@Colby2D dare I bring up how in “Hello summer goodbye camp kidney” they confirm it’s the start of a new summer?
The hoenn music in the background got me listening to the full emerald playlist now😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Interesting how during a conversation between Lumpus and Edward kinda/sort of foreshadowed that ending
1:18 im not gonna lie i remember vividly as a kid really wanting to eat those beans for some reason 😂 im not sure why but i suddenly remembered that.
Honestly I feel that
Such a mindfuck of an ending lol but it was great

Lol yeah she’s in everything, but I thought Chazz was too raspy to be Edward so I never made that comparison
I've always said Slinkman sounds & acts like Smithers, thank u for pointing that out. I though I was the only one

Never noticed how Raj is wearing a Fez, not the other kind of hat the rest twears.
Yeah it’s an interesting touch but I see it more as a propeller hat. Which sometimes just show someone is kinda dorky and innocent maybe?

The issue comes moreso from how white actors pulling off accents often get roles over minorities who don’t need to. It’s bias.
