Hi, Bret! We're a little late to the party here, but thanks for the review! You're right, with adjustment, you can get rid of the pretravel pretty easily. We try to eliminate as much of that as we can before we ship; but after shipping our triggers aren't always exactly as they we're before being boxed up. We're glad you're enjoying our products! Keep an eye out - we'll have our next generation of Tikka triggers out in the next few months here - they'll have more consistent and lighter pull weights than what we currently offer.
I just ordered and installed the Next Gen. JARD trigger for the CZ 457. I believe rated 6 oz to 3 oz. Trigger pull, the actual from the factory trigger pull was a nice 4.5oz. It appears the trigger is a bit flatter on the face where your fringe tip sits, I like that a lot. I need to order another trigger for my CZ456 and that one I’ll try playing with the adjustments. I spoke to someone on the regarding the newer lighter JARD triggers, I am happy to see you guys supporting the bench rest community. Please let me know when the newer lighter Tikka Trigger is available.
I assume when you say the trigger isn’t crisp that there is slight creep? That would be a no go for me. The Jard manual does tell you how to adjust sear engagement so if that were my trigger, that’s where I would go next. Nice vid. 👍
Wednesday my shooting video should go-live with the Tikka 20” and JARD trigger. I’d say there was no creep and had a nice trigger break. I think my trigger gauge may have been the issue. I do cover the tigger break in this next video.
A spring for the Tikka, yes that is where I started. I think the spring got me to about a pound. I am looking forward to installing the JARD 3oz. Trigger that was new released.
I noticed that you are using snap caps. My Tikka T1x punches holes in the snap cap after 10-12 trigger pulls. Is this a problem requiring cycling out used snap caps?

@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV Our Tikka Match trigger is just dropped this week!
Always like your options.
Thanks for the video!!!
Where did you go?
I learn so much from you.
I am here life has taking me away from filming and editing and posting but I hope to get some stuff out shortly. Thanks for checking in.
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV I glad to hear that.
I'm surprised UA-cam didn't flag this video for altering a firearm I would definitely go with the Jar trigger at that price.
I have had little use of the JARD trigger but so far I love it, I am patiently waiting for the JARD trigger for the CZ457’s
It takes an American to read CZ and pronounce it "see-see"! 😂 Apart from that, very informative review! Thank you.
That’s, great. Thanks. Sometimes I am amazed what comes out of my mouth.
Happy New Year Bret,
Hope your doing well. What are your thoughts on have more even ignition with the lighter trigger?
I am not sure pull weight effects ignition. We are not allowed to change the firing pin spring in ARA factory class rifles.

You can get springs for it.

The snap caps do get chewed up for use. I do not load them in my magazine.
Do you shoot unlimited as much as you do factory?
Last year I shot both, 43 factory target/cards and 34 unlimited.
Some times the timing on your rifle is off
Shoot, I hope not.
