I love how people speak in this movie. A strong vocabulary allows a speaker to communicate with a precision that eliminates any possibility of confusion from the listener. However, even the most eloquent speaker is muted by a dull minded audience.
The best performance I have ever seen. She gives every line new meaning and you just keep waiting for her to appear again with another witty monologue . Delightfully cruel Beyond Wonderful
This movie has long been a favorite of mine, the complexity of the cruelty of the two main characters, they wield it on others and each other with rapier precision and not a scintilla of guilt !
Ahh, the two vultures... These two make the movie. Everybody else is their puppet. But she... She is THE queen of the stage. The master puppeteer... With all the most memorable lines to boot!.. ;)
Great video! I loved the opening especially, using scenes from the movie to underline Merteuil's character and history. Then, with the thunderous music, it really felt like a tribute to her and Valmont's complicated, volcanic relationship.
aw thank you very much, i do want to do that in the future. i do look back on this video and see all the flaws and things that i would change, i did it so long ago and i'd like to think that i've grown and developed since. but yes! i absolutely love his music! it's so powerful and storytelling but yet so versitile! x
