Without a doubt, Glenn Close is the most wronged actress in the history of cinema. Total lack of respect, consideration and humanity the Academy of Oscars never gave her a statuette. An extremely talented, unique, special, competent, deserving, magnanimous actress ... who unfortunately never had the recognition she truly deserves. It was already for Glenn Close to have at least 3 Oscars. I hope that justice will finally be done at the Oscar 2021 with her interpretation of the film Hilbilly Elegy. I hope Netflix will make a heavy and strong campaign. The Academy will never be able to correct all the regrettable injustices that Glenn Close suffered throughout his career. This movie star cannot die without winning an Oscar. Let the entire voting public have a minimum of compassion and empathy. God bless Glenn Close. Justice for Glenn Close! 🥇👑 #Oscars2021 #GlennCloseDeservesOscar #HilbillyElegy #Netflix #GlennClose #Oscar2021 #JusticeForGlennClose
The Academy Awards are complete flawed. I don’t think anybody really thinks since Garland lost for a “Star is born” to plastic and dull Grace Kelley that it amounts to anything but politics. It’s so hit/miss, it has become a joke internationally. They still do not have a category for Horror which is absurd as that is an enormous part of the profit of Hollyweird.
Magnolia Fleurs: Really?? She won the Tony Award with that voice? Wasn’t SUNSET BOULEVARD the musical that opened in London with PATTI LUPONE who the producers trashed and set aside for Close? UNFAIR TO LUPONE!! But, Glenn Close should hzz as be had at least two Oscars by now as her performances, Lead and Supporting are always the best!!!
Simply adore how Glenn Close interprets a song. She not only sings she also becomes the character behind the song turning it into a fully realized performance. Incredible.
She had an extraordinary model to emulate. Barbara Cook’s performance of that song, in the 1985 Follies concert and thereafter, embodied the song, and added the advantage of an angelic voice. She cut through to Sondheim’s intention. To quote her line in “She Loves Me,” “in a way, it’s a little like the voice of God.”
The tempo is a little fast but Glenn Close again demonstrates here interpretive powers and indeed splendid singing voice. To hear her at her best - and looking superb - listen to Ms Close singing Send in the Clowns. Barbara Cook remains my favourite for this song. Liza Minnelli's pop version is surprisingly good.
There are people one wishes to meet in person to chat with. She is on my list. She sounds very down to earth not pretentious at all. Super talented and original.
She really is a living legend!!! And she can act and sing!!!!!! And I really mean she can sing!!! Not even every singer can sing like this!!!!!! And @ferdinando1378, you're right , someday she will get that f*cking Oscar!! God damn it, I don't understand why she dosen't get this Award she's brillant!!!!!!!
An EXTRADINARY TALENT with every facet so carefully honed. She excels in the ranks of Bergman, Hepburn and Streep but when you add her incredible voice, she jumps to the forefront. And there's an endearing element of shyness. How in the world do you truly define the magnitude of her astonishing talents.in every aspect of her craft.
I love Glenn Close..I think as an overall actress/performer she's overshadowed by other actresses (mainly Meryl Streep) that aren't as great..which is a shame..Glenn is a tremendous talent that should be given more respect..don't even get me started on the fact she hasn't won an Oscar..smh
I agree with you. You know, luck has a part in it all. Glenn is so hardworking and performs for movies, TV films and theater. Meryl, although as talented as Gleen, was luckier: With her consecutive Oscar nominations her fame as a great actress built upon itself and continues to do so up to this day. In a way that many people can't even concieve the possibility of a bad performance. After Glenn lost another Academy Award with her performance as Albert Nobbs, I started thinking things can be unfair to her the way they were to Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole who got numerous Oscar nomination and NEVER a Best Actor award.
It was at the Kennedy award. So they were doing a medley of her most popular songs. That's why it's sped up and parts are taken out so that it meets time constraints
When and if Sunset Boulevard the Musical is ever made into a film Glenn Close must be cast as Norma Desmond. Otherwise, I have zero interest in seeing it.
Si Fi Noir has a great leader! Guardians of the Galaxy> Nope just a box office sensation with This Dame. Friendly neighbor likes the Guardians, Brian Koller
Glenn stepped out on that stage for two minutes, commanded everyone’s attention, got it, and was done. That ladies and gentlemen is an icon.
Patti be like: 😐 😠
She's awesome, but she's no Dorothy Collins. :)
Pena que cortou a metade da música 🎶

It's not going to happen this year. Youn Yuh-jung is almost shoe in for the win.
You’re absolutely correct.
Wait till Sunset Boulevard

Hai perfettamente ragione!🇮🇹🇬🇧🇺🇸
The one actress in Hollywood that has been overlooked..time & time again. And such a talented singer to boot.
Her singing "As if We Never Said Goodbye" from Sunset Boulevard was THE most spectacular singing. She won a Tony for best actress.
Magnolia Fleurs: Really?? She won the Tony Award with that voice? Wasn’t SUNSET BOULEVARD the musical that opened in London with PATTI LUPONE who the producers trashed and set aside for Close? @@johnpickford4222girl Tony Awards is not a singing competition. It’s for ACTING. Stop being stupid.

at 65 she's still got one hell of a belting voice! :)
A brilliantly sung version of "Losing My Mind."
What an icon. She deserves an EGOT, truly. Such command of the stage and of the audience.
My reaction at the end of that was the same as Anne Hathaway's. What a stunning performance.
Many years and rewatches later, yes.
Give Glenn Close all the awards now!!!
Perhaps the most under rated actress since Barbara Stanwyck!
The absolute best performance of this song I have ever seen.
Alexander Adams,I like the Vanessa Williams performance.
VW was good but this gave me goosebumps.
Alexander Adams I reckon Marin Mazzie did a better job.
This is great, but look up Judy Kaye doing it
@@henryanderson6752 YESS it was so good!!
We are in the presence of a genius… and a national Treasure!
One of the best Vocal performances I’ve seen from Glen. Technically sound.
That belt was so clean and resonant.
She is a hard worker! ❤️ xx
It's a hard song to sing, she's always amazing!
The tempo is a little fast but Glenn Close again demonstrates here interpretive powers and indeed splendid singing voice. Thank you Alan
Tried listening to barbra's version
She followed the tempo of the Pet Shop Boys version. Magnificent performance. Bravo
The tempo was sped up for this performance as they had a time limit. The song was abbreviated too.
I really like her version of As If We Never Said Goodbye.
Glenn never misses a note...
I love this actress. what a beautiful voice
I did n t know Glenn Close was such a good singer!
Excuse me while I cry my eyes out over this performance. 😩♥️
how many women (for how long?)... have sung a song... in this sentiment... tear jerking... I agree.
She is brilliant🌹
Saw on Broadway she was spectacular......🕊🇺🇲💕
This is my favorite version of this song. It is not all breathy.
The woman is incredible and I must say, when the musical Wicked is made into a movie, she must play Madame Morrible!
I think she'd do a brilliant job of playing the wicked witch in wicked
Amazing actress, she can express more subtle moving emotions in a two minute song than some can in a whole two hour movie.
What a lovely talented woman
The dress is too die for very classy lady. X
Wow. Best rendition I have heard of this song. What a voice!
you should listen to Jeremy Jordan's version
There are people one wishes to meet in person to chat with. She is on my list. She sounds very down to earth not pretentious at all. Super talented and original.
I worked a benefit many years ago before she was a big star and I was assigned to her for the first act. She was very sweet and so charming.
A artista mais injustiçada desse planeta. Glenn é maravilhosa em tudo o que faz.
❤️❤️ Glenn Close, such a talented actress and so underrated. Hopefully they still do Sunset Boulevard.
She stated recently that all they need is the final green light and they are good to go
Just incredibly amazing!❤️🇮🇹🇬🇧🇺🇸
Man... Glenn is so brilliant ❤️
She really is a living legend!!! And she can act and sing!!!!!! And I really mean she can sing!!!
Not even every singer can sing like this!!!!!!

Glenn is simply riveting.
I had no idea she has such a tremendous singing talent.
Loooooove the way she sang this!!
An EXTRADINARY TALENT with every facet so carefully honed. She excels in the ranks of Bergman, Hepburn and Streep but when you add her incredible voice, she jumps to the forefront. WOW!!!
Such a talented actress and so underrated. Hopefully they do Sunset for her Oscar chance.
Happy birthday, Glenn Close.
Cruella still has it.
Class and talent!
This song would be perfect for Alex Forrester in Fatal Attraction. It really sums up her character
How amazing that the best actress of all time can sing like this. And the fact that she has never won an Oscar shows how crap they are.
Another William & Mary grad, Ms. Close is a great talent. That she hasn't won an Academy Award is an injustice.
This is literally the best version of this song.
This is so incredible.
Never knew she could sing
I love Glenn Close..I think as an overall actress/performer she's overshadowed by other actresses (mainly Meryl Streep) that aren't as great..which is a shame..Glenn is a tremendous talent that should be given more respect..don't even get me started on the fact she hasn't won an Oscar..smh
+Michael Greisinger Don't worry, pal. When it comes to Broadway stage, Meryl Streep can't touch Glenn.. :-)
I agree with you. You know, luck has a part in it all. Glenn is so hardworking and performs for movies, TV films and theater. Glenn Close >>>>>>> Meryl Streep
Michael Greisinger pppooo
Michael Greisinger nu.
Yes Glenn shall win an Oscar..xoxo
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!! Glenn your voice is beautiful!! ❤😍❤
Glenn Close aparte de ser una de las mejores actrices del mundo tiene una voz maravillosa
what a beautiful voice
Star quality in abundance!
That was beautiful.
fantastic Glenn Close...we love you
Amazing Glenn!!
Superb!
Wow!
So brilliant !
Awesome ♥️🌈🌹
Brava signora
Yes! This was from the Kennedy Center Awards. She was one of the honored celebs.
Look her up doing Sunset Boulevard on the West End in London….unreal!
Bravo!!
La última GRAN DIVA del cine ..nadie habrá después
E#3 To B4 Go girl
I would never think Glenn Close has such a powerful voice.
Canta bello te amamos Glenn.
😍♥️😍♥️😍♥️😍♥️😍🇧🇷
Who would have imagined hearing this out of the live-action Cruella or from Kala?
This is literally the best version of the song
Her interpretation reminds me of the dearly departed Marrin Mazzie's version
Served.
Who’s the lady at 1:22 watching Glenn?
Barbara Cook (who also sang this).
Wow
seemed rushed but i love glenn
In what DVD it is this video?
Please, who is the blonde lady Glenn seems to sing for?
Thank you.
Well, you kinda did in Sunset Boulevard....
WOW
Who is the honoree? I recognize her face, but I can’t quite recall her name
Ah, Barbara Cook
🎩
😁
👕👍Great!
👖
@ImStreeper yes it is
Somebody o\up there in the balcony is feeling so small.
so, exactly how many Oscars is this woman owed now ??
Who was being honored here?
I think Glenn Close was there to honour Barbara Cook who also sang this song.
is that MERYL in 0:01??
Yeees
When will Glenn Close be honored by the Kennedy Center?????
Glenn gets robbed every oscar nom.
Hollywood hates her soo much
Why is it so fast? They cut out a good chunk of the song already and then sped it up. Her performance is fine, but I hate this tempo for this song.
It was at the Kennedy award. So they were doing a medley of her most popular songs. That's why it's sped up and parts are taken out so that it meets time constraints
Cruella De Vil becoming upsessed with Dalamtian puppies...
Good but not a patch on Barbara's perfect version
She's your ROLE MODEL, not your hero!!! -Unless she saved you from a house fire.
This version should have been the theme tune to Fatal Attraction LOL
Listening to this is making me lose my mind....and my lunch.
