Solid Snake was the true boss and always better than Big Boss. It's a pity, I wish we had 1 more game before he died or MGS4 remastered and extended. After 10 yeras I still believe this is the best main character in game I've ever seen. This is not the best game, but the best story told in game ever. Hope we live to see Kojima do something of such quality without Konami limitations(They pretty much ruined MGS4, game about Raiden and MGS5 'cause Kojima had other ideas to end the series also at further date)

big boss liked him only for the reason he fought for what he believed in his other sons just wanted to be big boss or better , solid is one of a kind .
Solid Snake is the first Snake, MGS 3 was just a Kojima mistake.
Yes he was the closest clone to Big Boss, but also he was much different. Solid Snake forever the best boss:)

Logan is basically Old Snake. Hell, the movie's based off Old Man Logan. Must be why I love the movie so much.
its kinda hard to watch all that suffer that the chars in the mgs universe haven gone trough.. raiden, otacon, solid snake. i wouldnt change my place with any of them. metal gear is the kind of adult drama that does not go the ordinary route in that way and thats why i like it so much,

I'm obviously late but..it's so heart wrenching to see him in a state of pain.. He's a unique, interesting, badass character with a sad story..but once he pulled the gun out..I cried so hard but...knowing that he'll live thanks to big boss..I'm glad he's able to live ..Kojima made the best character on this world PERIOD.
1. He used an automatic handgun, ask anyone in the army, automatics jam whenever you are in a jam. 2.Big Boss's CQC restraining bear hug infected Big Boss with the Foxdie virus. 3. Big Boss's CQC restraining bear hug saved Old Snake's life. it's How to Save a Life🎶 by getting into the Fray.
The cut to black at the end, right after he loads the bullet in, was better than all the cut to blacks they used in trailers where they cut as he has the gun in his mouth.
For me there will be only one Snake...

What would've been a cool story, is if instead of FoxDie spreading, he kills himself because he knows he's not alive unless he's in battle, like his father, and tries to avoid his father's mistakes before he himself causes any damage. But then the whole Big Boss coming back thing would be really weird, different, and hard to pull off.

I've always favored Solid Snake over Big Boss personally.
