No kidding! WhenI lived in the projects, There was no laundry room, dishwasher, garbage disposal, ceiling fans, AC or overhead lights! Her place looks like a very nice apartment in a high end complex!

Beautiful home. I grew up in public housing in the 50's/60s that was built for the GI's returning after WWII and the Korean war. The homes were filled with nice families who kept their spaces spotless just like yours and our yards had gardens with beautiful flowers and trees. I hate that public housing and people who grow up there always get a bad rap. It's good that lovely people such as yourself , are giving a window to family life that helps dispel those negative narratives. Good luck in your design career!

As a single mum in the UK, living in public housing (we tend to call it council housing or social housing), I was curious about your housing situation and I'd like to say you have a beautiful home and deserve the praise for keeping it tastefully furnished and decorated, not to mention spotless. The design of your apartment has been really thought about before being built, I'd be more than happy to live there.
I hate the fact that people denote living in the projects or an urban area as your poor or your home is going to be less then or dirty. Your place is beautiful and well designed you defiantly have an eye. ❤❤❤ I believe your place could easily be featured in a magazine or interior design website !!
Everyone in town knows where I live is the projects, and as soon as I tell anyone my address, I feel they instantly write me off. Like when I list something for sale on marketplace. I'm paranoid about giving them my address, because a good percentage of the time, they'll either stop talking completely or tell me they changed their mind.
Honestly if you live in the projects you are at or below the poverty line, no one who could afford regular housing should be living in public housing. Just because you do live there doesn’t mean that you are worthless and do not clean your home.
Your home is absolutely beautiful and if I didn't hear in the beginning that is was the "projects",(and I say that as a single mom that had to bring her boys to live in low income housing until my education and career was stable), I would have never thought that you definitely have an eye for interior design and should very much go for it. Thank you so much! Honestly, I instilled cleanliness in them from early ages. We have a few hoarders in our family, so I have always been huge on keeping clutter and dirt to a minimum. They are kids, so of course there are days where they just don't care LOL!! But for the most part, they clean on their own. 😊❤✨

That’s a really nice public housing home. I visited some projects in south central LA, and the walls were concrete, they couldn’t hang things on the walls. They had a much different set up. Thanks for sharing, it’s interesting to see your lovey home.
I love that you take pride in your home. It doesn’t matter what size your house is, the location or the amount of your rent/mortgage payment- a person should be proud of their living space and treat it with respect and dignity. You clearly have this down and appreciate everything you’ve worked hard for. It’s appalling to see when people neglect their homes, have little regard for their belongings and don’t appreciate what they have. I’ve lived in poverty for several years when just starting out. I spent 10 years living in the trenches of Long Beach CA scraping and saving and working hard. Tho it wasn’t always easy I loved my little house in the bad part of town. I had 2 toddlers and 2 jobs and am so fond of a grateful for those days. It shaped a large part of who I am. I now live in the suburbs in a beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bath home with a large yard and an HOA. Funny how I miss so much the community and my neighbors from the “hood”. They were real and not pretentious and valued quality over quantity. Good character meant more than a Tesla in the driveway. Thank you for sharing your home and your experience. You’ve done a beautiful job and it seems like you’re prioritizing what most important, your family. Much love and respect to you ❤️

That’s a really nice public housing home. I visited some projects in south central LA, and the walls were concrete, they couldn’t hang things on the walls. They had a much different set up. Thanks for sharing, it’s interesting to see your lovey home.

I love that you take pride in your home. It doesn’t matter what size your house is, the location or the amount of your rent/mortgage payment- a person should be proud of their living space and treat it with respect and dignity. You clearly have this down and appreciate everything you’ve worked hard for. It’s appalling to see when people neglect their homes, have little regard for their belongings and don’t appreciate what they have. I’ve lived in poverty for several years when just starting out. I spent 10 years living in the trenches of Long Beach CA scraping and saving and working hard. Tho it wasn’t always easy I loved my little house in the bad part of town. I had 2 toddlers and 2 jobs and am so fond of a grateful for those days. It shaped a large part of who I am.
I now live in the suburbs in a beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bath home with a large yard and an HOA. Funny how I miss so much the community and my neighbors from the “hood”. They were real and not pretentious and valued quality over quantity. Good character meant more than a Tesla in the driveway. Thank you for sharing your home and your experience. You’ve done a beautiful job and it seems like you’re prioritizing what most important, your family. Much love and respect to you ❤️
