+itchyboy it wasn't LAPD they have plates on their versions actually it's a homeland security car I have questioned a Lt. About their new charger and all of them have plates on them only the Feds don't have plates.

Really nice vid. Good variety of vehicles. Actually surprised at LA traffic levels compared to NYC. Compared to NYC, LA traffic looks TAME. Almost tolerable. That freakn' midtown manhattan is a goddam zoo. Sweet vid. Keep up the good work.
This looks like the middle of the day/early afternoon perhaps so it'll look pretty tame, but during the morning and evening rush hours many of the streets and almost all of the freeways turn into parking lots or 5mph rolling road blocks haha

For those wondering the grey ford crown vic had a unitrol 80 k made by dunbar nunn it also had a pitch amplifier from dunbar nunn . they were only manufactured in the early to mid 90's
and the newer sirens completely drown it out... shows how much louder our sirens have gotten in only 25-30 years

We only have a single police service overhere for anything
I live in California and I never seen unmarked dodge chargers nor the sheriffs van nor as much undercover police in action.... very suspicious. Also the 2 suburbans are sergeants and the undercover white one probably metro police. Interesting

I don't understand. You have the City police: its like the LAPD right? Then you have the LA - sherrif, then also you have state - police. How does this whole structure of policing work? Who does what tasks? In the Netherlands we just have the National Police..... and that's it.
I'm not familiar with the specifics of California law enforcement agencies but here is a general summary of how it works in a lot of states. City police are responsible for what is inside of the city limits. Normal roads, business strips and the like. You will almost never see a city police unit pulling over a car on the interstate. State police are responsible for interstate highways/freeways and can assist with any cities needs on request. County sheriffs are responsible for staffing the county jail, staffing court houses and then a variety of other 'normal' police work within that county. If you aren't aware, a state has many counties(regions) and each county has many cities inside of it. So State Police have statewide jurisdiction, County Sheriffs have county jurisdiction, and City Police have city jurisdiction. Of course there is overlap sometimes and they all work cooperatively but that is the quick rundown.

That was a Homeland Security cruiser actually I've questioned a Lt. About it. It's not new either. LAPD has the same but all the vehicles have to have plates if it's a local Police department.

joshoooooawwwww yes. When we had a suspicious package in my town (about 30000 live here) we had about 80% of our pd respond and bomb squad from a town an hour away, seat, and how. It turned out it was a bomb but they disarmed it and caught the guy

the difference between the hellcat charger and the original charger is the engine hood, the engine hood of the hellcat has an air vent addition to it, the original charger does not.
