When Pelé was going to retire from the national team, Brazil invited Yugoslavia to play against them because of Dzajic, Pelé wanted his last match in the Brazilian shirt to be with Dzajic.
My father is a Red Star fan, and he said Dzajic was the best that he saw ... although of course there were so many great footballers back then ... Sekularac, Petrovic, Skoblar, Osim, Stojkovic etc etc etc.... Former Yugoslavia was stacked with footballing talents
It’s just sad to see that so many people now have grown up with shit players doing tap in’s and only a couple good players now (Messi, Ronaldo, Lewadowski), I just hate when I ask the average football fan now to name more than 5 players and they only know 3, Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar

@MatigolVidz i don't know where are you from, but big respect for letting world to see brilliance of players from Balkans, as there were plenty of them.Next could be Safet Sušić, amazing player and PSG legend.Respect bro.
thank you... wonderful channel... I always enjoyed your videos on Maradona and other all time greats but also that you would do videos on more obscure players
Amazing compilation - my father has told me a lot about Dzajic although I never got to see him myself. I met him at the beach in Sveti Stefan in Montenegro when I was a kid, still have that picture somewhere... :)
My uncle told me about Dzajic when I was 11 years old. Said he was the best left winger in the world. Thanks for the rare footage. I don't know how you find this stuff but it's appreciated.
Džajić definitely had some intricate, nifty, footwork. Not the fastest runner with the ball, compared to say Best & Cruyff, who really shifted gears at high speeds when dribbling. Was Džajić the best left winger ever? He's definitely in the running along with Gento, Sivori, Resenbrink, Futre, Robben. Personally for me it's Rivelino. He blew the barn door off for Brazil, during their epic 1970 world cup displays.
I would also mention Piet Keizer and Oleg Blokhin but I don't think there's ever been a truly great outside left. George Best and others like Tom Finney, were often played on the left-wing when the two really good right-wingers were available, but they were never really left-sided players, but natural right-wingers. Rivelino I would categorise as essentially a midfield player. In the heat and altitude of Mexico Brazil hit on the required combination with their 4-2½-3½ system in which Rivelino played a working attacking game from the left wing and provided the two halves.
@@Ruda-n4h If we're going for strict orthodoxy, then Gento would be my pick as the greatest left winger of all time. An integral part of that great 1950s Real Madrid side. Marshalled supremely, by Don Alfredo D Stéfano. Gento won incredible six European Cup's. More than any player in history.
