You'll have to follow that copper pipe to the sink and cut off the water supply there. Then you can remove the copper pipes. You will have to figure out a way to cap off the drain hose hole as well. There is not a specific cap sold that we know of so you'll have to use some plastic and a clamp or something along those lines.

I found out that my dishwasher has a copper water connection instead of plastic like in the video.
What I did is disconnecting the wire pipe from the sink/water source because there was more space to work the tool. Hope this helps people in the same situation.

What if you aren't replacing the dishwasher with another one? I'm putting a cabinet in it's place. My dishwasher has a copper pipe running under the sink besides the white plastic tube to the main drain under the sink.. No garbage disposal. I haven't pulled the dishwasher all the way out yet because I wanted to know what to do with that thin copper pipe first? And 2nd do I not have to cap the pipe off after I remove the drain hose? Thank you for any help you can give!
what about the dishwashers with the copper wire vs plastic. I feel like its gonna break from bending can you advise?

I have an old JC Penny dishwasher that makes solenoid clicking sounds only (no water flowing thru) when the cycle knob is rotated. Any ideas why just clicks with no water filling it up? Thanks.
I wish I could find this in a pdf with color pictures so I could print it out and have it near at hand to the dishwasher while I do it.
I tried disconnecting the water supply line from the inlet valve, but water started gushing. Maybe I didn't shut off the water correctly? what do you mean by expect "some" water to come out? how much is normal?
