I remember listening to Slipknot, Korn, POD, Linkin Park, Mudvayne and Trust Company when I was 10-11 years old and didn’t know that it was considered (nu) metal. I just knew that I vibed with it and it subtlety influenced my taste in music from then on. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Gary.
Best video you’ve put out to date! Man this brings back soooooo many memories! Love that u put Spineshank and Snot in there. I was obsessed with Spineshank for awhile
Phenomenal work! Epic mix and playing man ! A part of me wishes if each riff showed its tuning alongside but that should be a quick google search. Keep em coming!
@@Landekar Siberia is a vast region in Russia that occupies most of the northern part of the country. It stretches from the Urals in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east and from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the borders with Mongolia and China in the south. The region also has a rich history and culture, including indigenous peoples such as the Yakuts, Nenets and others.
@@GaryHiebnerexactly! Change is definitely my favorite song by them. Deftones been my favorite band since ‘96 when I first discovered Adrenaline. Don’t really care for much after White Pony tho. Some awesome newer Nu-metal bands are Graphic Nature and Blood Youth

Yeah I should of done that. Most of them are either in Drop C or Drop B if that helps.

Dry Kill Logic chucked out some 👌CLASS👌 riffs... especially on "The Darker Side of Nonsense" 🧐
guitar/bass tone is fire!
Thank you!
Yo, no Evanescence? That's criminal, i would've put "Going Under" instead of Deftones "Change(In The House Of Flies)".
No way! Not above Change. Haha!

Yeah I might like Deftones more than I did 20 years ago. I dont think theres a day that goes by that dont listen to them.
It's best riffs though, not best songs!
That marks the end of riff of the days series? Or what?
For now. I'm thinking of some other riff video series to do.
Not one Nickelback song made the top 50??
To me Nickelback aren't Nu Metal. Even though they were on Roadrunner for a bit. I see them as Post Grunge :)
@@GaryHiebner just kidding 😂. Please don't do a top 50 post grunge vid then.
Haha! Definitely not!
Nickelback Nu Metal's Fathers 🥰
