7:47 - That's Pat LaLama who at that time was the Weekend Morning Co-Anchor with Michael Scott, right before Michael Scott moves from Weekend Mornings to Weekend Evenings and Beverly Burke took over Michael Scott.
Pat Lalama was looking hotter than a 6 alarm fire back then!🤪Also not widely known nor covered in the media was that Pat was dating Guns 'N Roses bassist Duff McKagan at that time. How lucky was Duff?!🥳😁
Oh man! Memories, channel 2 news was my favorite during the entire 90's.And holy cr@p! at 9:15 that website channel2000 somewhat still works, albeit broken and stuck in 2001.
Love the music in the early 90s open. Although the tabloid openings of 93/94 absolutely jar with me (yes it screams LA; yes I get KNBC was doing it too because everyone was trying to chase channel 7) - it kinda makes it up for it with the slower saxophone theme in the close... almost seemed a bit wasted.
0:39 Gotta love that news close. WTEN in Albany (where I live) used that Theme in the early 90s after KCBS ditched it.
3:02 Howard Raymond is in charge of the microwave
The news opens from 1994, on KCBS Channel 2, have the "KCBS News Theme" from Michael Randall. Not the WTEN news theme from the early '90s.
7:06 Hosea Sanders still works at ABC 7 in Chicago. I didn’t know he worked as a weekend evening news anchor at KCBS in Los Angeles.
7:44 Beautiful music.
AGREED Sapien! Those pizzicato strings at 8:22 are deserving of an Emmy Award on their own!🎶👏🏆

I've always wondered why Terry Anzur abruptly departed the news team in early 1994.
Can you also do KPIX (CBS) - Channel 5 San Francisco - News Open & Close (1992-1999)?

RIP Rory Markas
That’s the most hideous set I’ve ever seen
The one from '94? A few other stations like KPTV, KSTW and WTSP used the same design. The desk seemed out of proportion IMO.
I think they meant the 1991 set. It was cheap looking.
The second ticker in the time corner...I don’t hate it. And Michael Tuck, heyyyyyy (pulls down Ray-Bans)

Mike Tuck was a good newsman.
