I’ve waited to come across this video for so long! The 4Runner that’s been in my family since new in 2003, was finally passed down to me and is my faithful daily driver. Has 296k miles on the clock, but the V8 still pulls the same as it did 20 years ago, as does the transmission! I’ll never get rid of this truck if I can help it!
@@encinobalboa Honestly, both rigs are awesome, I only said my 2WD feels briskier and as far as I'm concerned the 5th ones are as reliable. Mine is, I love it.
Notice they spend more time in vehicles now talking about the gimmicks inside them now rather than showing in detail HOW IT DRIVES. Red flags all around it.😂 They dont even sell like they used to.
Honestly no. Smaller, unstable, slow, had a belt not a chain, it’s cheaply made inside, the ball joints break, they look old and they aren’t more reliable than these, sorry you can’t afford one.

21 years later, 4th gen still looks great.
These still have a modern look. It definitely doesn’t look like a 20-21 year old design.
Loved my 03 SR5 2WD more than my 16 SR5 4x4 for being lighter, briskier and still running like new with north of 210k miles on the clock.
I have a 2003 Limited V6. Was wondering if 5th gen is better. I'll stay with mine which also runs like a clock.

@@encinobalboa Very beautiful the Toyota 4Runner. Durable, force and resistent. Great SUV
Very nice this Toyota 4Ruuner
I’d rather have that Gen 3 maroon 4Runner that was in the intro. Gen 4s are still nice though
I have a 2000 4runner and I LOVE IT!!!
Great and solid SUV this Toyota 4Rummer
I love it
The V8 has less power than the V6!? I don’t believe that.
The early 4.7s did (235ish hp). In 2005 the 4.7 got VVTI and was boosted up to 260 hp, 15 more than the v6.
It actually does, onky good thing on the V8 is hauling that’s all

Zazur tape measure 📏
The 1996-2002 3rd gen is a better vehicle.

Also look nothing better
@@gorgeusjamesyeah. Third generations are over hyped and over priced. Would way rather have a 4th gen
@@gorgeusjames The 4.7L V8 is a timing belt driven engine, as well.
