I have a rooster named "Mother Clucker" . 3 roosters total, they were raised together and get along well but have a pecking order. (2 roosters are easter eggers which seem to be gentler than my Eric the Red)
Now that is cool, love the name of your rooster! All my roosters were raised together also, and that seems to definately make a difference for sure. I think when they are raised together, they tolerate each other very well. That is good to know about your easter egger roosters, have never had one as a rooster, and good to know they are gentler than the Rhode Island red. Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching!❤
Great video. Good topic. Excellent advice in the video! We have experienced this...having multiple roosters...one year we ended up with 4 roosters in our "pullets" & there was conflict amongst the roosters as they matured. In that instance, we decided to separate them, so we made a flock & space for each. That worked out well, but we ended up rehoming 3 of them to farms so that we only had to manage 1 rooster. The keeper was a Brahma our sons had named Boots. Once they're named, they're like pets, & Boots had to stay. 😊 Hey, I really like the current style of thumbnail you're using on the videos. Nice! Distinctive & noticeable. I think it's a good styling for your thumbnails. Have a great day!
Thank you Melissa, so glad you like the thumbnails, that helps me so much in moving forward with them. Glad you enjoyed the video too, we have had the same issue, not all the roosters always got along, and we had to rehome a few of ours over time too. Boots! Good name! Brahma's make good roosters too!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this subject, always appreciate you!❤❤
@ericawillis3666 that is great Erica! 4 roosters is a nice group, we're they all raised together or did you get them at different times? Glad they all get along well. Thank you for watching and commenting!🩷
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed the info in the video. Glad you had luck with multiple roosters in your flock too! Thank you for watching and appreciate you sharing your experience. ❤
what if you have a rooster that has 2 rooster chicks born? i would assume he knew he was the father. will they still fight or does the father rooster tolerate them?
@BobRooney290 good question! So your saying if a hen hatches 2 rooster chicks from the male rooster...yes, I believe the father will tolerate them well, and their instinct is to protect, so he would raise them and protect them at the same time. That has been my experience, since we have had this happen many times. In our flock he wouldn't fight with that rooster he would protect like he does with the hens, until that rooster is grown and starts protecting his own little group. Hope that helps. Great question, thank you!!🩷

@@Mothercluckerschickenfarm You're welcome! God bless y'all!
I have a small flock, 6 hens and 4 roosters, the roosters get along just fine.
@ericawillis3666 that is great Erica! 4 roosters is a nice group, we're they all raised together or did you get them at different times? Glad they all get along well. Thank you for watching and commenting!🩷
@Mothercluckerschickenfarm two were raised by me from day olds and two were given to me by a friend, raised together
@Mothercluckerschickenfarm they free range so they have plenty of room, yet I always see them in close proximity to each other
@@ericawillis3666 That is great! You definately don't have to worry about them. Thank you for sharing!
@@ericawillis3666 Great!! That makes for a very calm flock for you, that is so good!
nice
Thank you! And thank you for watching.🥰
Great video! Thanks for the chicken wisdom, and yours are so pretty :)
