Apple iPhone 12 Mini Full Review! In this episode, I share with you everything I have learned and experienced with this iPhone 12 Mini and we go in depth on whether this should be your next phone, share your experiences, thoughts, questions, and concerns and enjoy the content :)
Hey Nick, Another great review love your channel bro but I wanna ask you a question so I hope you see this comment.... If you were like me still using an iPhone 8Plus & you knew it was time to upgrade, While all iPhone 12’s have the same power but only the camera & battery being the main difference, Would you lean towards the 12Mini being faster & more powerful even though it’s battery is lower or would you go from an 8Plus to the iPhone 12 Pro(6.1’) phone instead & if you could give me some reason as to which phone you’d leave towards more would be great, Hope you see this message....Cheers!! Thank you for your time....
nick, about the battery life, could you please make another video that shows the details of your screen on time and battery usage since that is the only down side of mini? so we can get a deeper understanding how the battery goes thru the day
@@BaconFaceMcGee it is a lot better. I switched from an iPhone 7 and the battery life lasts for more than twice or even three time that of the iPhone 7
I love the way you review. No constant camera cuts, no slow far away camera panning of the back of the phone, you just show the phone up close and I love that!
@@Sharky165 iPhone 11 it is then. My hands are not suited for the 11 but battery life is the most important thing to me. Coming from the 7 with 75% battery health :,)
i have the 12 pro max & i get all day battery life with over little over 11 hours of on screen time. i take my phone off the charger around 9am i don’t have to charge it again until around 12-1 ish
I'm coming from a 11 Pro Max. . . still getting two days battery life on the thing. But I'm selling because the mini is the perfect pocket camera and I really want to stop spending so much time on the iPhone.
Same, I don't need all this phone. I stay home, so it's not like I need this much battery life. I want the mini to fit my hand better and to help me be on my phone less
i got the white one. I've always gotten the pro and max models and also have the oneplus 7t pro. but since the launch I've been more drawn to the mini more than the pros n maxes because of its compactness. 1 hand typing is back. you don't miss out on the a14 as well. I'm very satisfied with it right now.
Benefits of iPhone 12 mini >Screen size small so one hand usage >Fear of Battery getting over so less usage > Small screen means you are less tempted to look at the phone >Blogging is easier due to its comfort holding it. >user will focus on other aspects of life due to smaller screen and battery and his brain will heal >an average user wont return or sell it due to the money he has invested and thinking that his investment will go waste In short it could be a smartphone/social media de-addiction phone. Too much over thinking ? 😂
I LOVE my 12 mini. Turn off 5G when you aren’t using it for even more battery life gains. Size is perfect and the battery is adequate, definitely an upgrade from my XS.
Had my mini for 10 days returned it. Battery life and small screen is a no go for me. I don't have a tablet and 95% of the time I'm browsing/media consumption on my phone even when I'm at home. I need a bigger screen. Got me the Pro max. Im coming from a Galaxy note 10 plus. Size wise, I have no problem with the Pro Max..went to apple store and tried it for several hours and liking it. Don't really know why people are saying its too big .
i got the 12 it has great battery life actually and works extremly fast its the best phone i would recommend it i got 128GG for 800 dollars with no bloatware best phone every
Fabulous love it ... going to actually hold one in Apple and if I like it I’m sold ☺️ Don’t understand why people moan about the battery ! Most people have chargers in their cars and if home just plug in 🤷🏻♀️ Great video thankyou
As you were stating some stuff about the case situation and the weight. Would you be willing to do a case review on the cases for this phone for all of the different types of users? Just a thought. I would love to see one from you. Thank you
Apple told me my screen issue was my generic screen protector. They charged me £30 for a Belkin glass protector and then rolled out new software, which solved it ! 🙄
Hello. I’m on my 3rd week with my Mini, white, 128GB, coming from an XR. I love how light weight it is and how easy it on my small hands. All reviews I’ve watched have touched on the battery and mostly on how it won’t last you the whole day, etc., etc. But you, I think, is the first to mention that our battery use is more personal. That its life depends on how we use our phone. That is so true! Thank you for saying that. If I compare my XR battery and my Mini, of course the Mini falls short. And I can live with that. To me the Mini’s light weight, OLED display and cameras are the game changers! Thanks!
Oh and I should also add, I got a fast charger. I charge my phone when it’s at 35% and pull the plug at 85%. The whole process takes only about 30-40 minutes, so it’s no bother.
If I had the money I would definitely buy it I have the iPhone se first generation and It has a 1600 MaH battery I would definitely upgrade to that 2200 MaH battery and the oled screen
I got the mini to bring my screen time down and not be glued to my phone like everyone else. So battery life is not a concern of mine. Love this phone.
Some times I feel iphone SE 2 and 12 mini have the same screen size. On 12 mini, the extra screen is occupied by a huge notch. Also battery life is about the same.
I've used some storage options, and For Your Reference: 64G - basic apps, must use Upgraded Cloud Storage; 128G - enough apps for most people, enough gallery size; 256G - most of your music library, all your photos / videos, all your favourite apps; 512G - I have had it but never exceeded half. Overall: use less than half the storage size for optimal performance, the phone will start to slow down approaching the storage limit.
I would not take the trade off, I would rather have a chunky Heavy little phone. The iPhone 4 let’s not forgot was a chunky heavy phone and that design was amazing
I've had my blue 12 Mini since 11/13 and in my experience the battery life is not much different than my very lightly used 16 month old XR which still has 100 percent battery health. At one time the XR was considered to have well above average battery life
@@leekeith22 Honestly i don't know, All i can say is XR is carried much more than it was used. I have other devices with bigger screens and easier to use operating systems ( iPad OS, Mac OS). I only used XR when there was no other better choice which is rare for me. The XR basically served as my camera and not much else
Thank you for a great review you covered all aspects of this phone I’m considering a purchase you’ve helped me to feel pretty confident about making that purchase thanks again stay safe also.
Please, tell us more about the dust! What about darker dust, won't that stick to even the lighter coloured minis? What if I get a dark mini and only hang around places with dark dust? So many questions...
One thing to note about the cameras on all the 12s is that there’s a glare from the camera. It’s slight but definitely there. I’m not sure if it’s the size of the cameras or how they’re made but it’s something to be aware of
I don't think it affects the non-Pro model iPhones from what I've seen, at least not nearly as much if at all. On the Pro models, I believe it's because the 3 lenses are positioned too close to one another. It's def an issue, and one that very few reviewers ever mention (but they SHOULD !).
If you’re going to have the phone for more than a couple of years and you have the money, get the 12. For me, I love the size, display, and edge design. Also it’s going to have an extra year of support. But if you just want a modern phone and don’t wanna spend too much, get the 11. The camera and battery are killer and the chip is still fast
Hi NickI am noticing that My daily 2 GB Data is consuming very fast on New iPhone 12 but in earlier iPhone 7 2 GB is used to be consumed less , Why 2 GB is not sufficient on iPhone 12? I am recharging with Data packs nowadays even for normal usage of mobile data .
I was in a store that had all iphone 12 models on display, the pro max, pro, 12 and 12 mini i was gonna get the 12 mini but i noticed the screen brightness wasnt as bright as the 12, the 12 pro and pro max! @@nickackermanchannel ah ok thanks! But the iphone 12 screen brightness seemed much brighter then the mini it looked equal to the iphone 12 pro and pro max, ill probably just get the pro
The only reason I would appreciate Apple making this phone would be because other manufacturers will probably make smaller phones to compete with it at least.

No one is going to read it but I’m still gonna write the recipe and how to do it Ingredients: Ingredients for 18 cookies 1 cup bread flour (125 g) ¾ cup all-purpose flour (95 g) 2 teaspoons kosher salt, or 1½ teaspoons table salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup unsalted butter (225 g), 2 sticks 2 tablespoons water, room temperature 1 cup dark brown sugar (220 g) ½ cup white sugar (100 g) 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 teaspoon espresso powder 1 large egg 1 large egg yolk ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (85 g) 5 oz dark chocolate (130 g), chopped How to do it: In a medium bowl, sift together the flours, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a medium or large saucepan, add the butter and melt over medium heat. The larger the pan you use, the quicker the process will be! Bring the butter to a boil, stirring frequently. As the water begins to boil out of the butter, the milk solids in the butter will separate, sink to the bottom, and begin to toast and brown. As this begins to happen, make sure to stir constantly so the butter browns evenly. It may become quite foamy, splatter a bit, and be difficult to see, so keep a close eye on it, removing from heat and continuing to stir if it starts to foam over. Once the butter has turned a nice nutty brown, remove from the heat and pour into a large liquid measuring cup to stop the cooking. Allow it to cool down for a minute or two, give it a stir, and carefully add 2-3 tablespoons of water to the butter to bring it back up to 1 cup (240 ml) of liquid. Set aside to cool to room temperature. To help speed this process up, you can place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. You want to make sure the butter is still liquid when you’re adding it to the dough later on, so make sure to remove after 15 minutes. In a large bowl, add the sugars, vanilla, espresso powder, and cooled brown butter. Cream together with an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy, 1-2 minutes. Add the egg and yolk and beat until incorporated. Add the dry ingredients, about ⅓ of the mixture at a time, and beat between additions until just incorporated. It’s okay for there to be a bit of unmixed flour on the edge of bowl, this will be incorporated in the next step. Using a wooden spoon, fold the chocolate chips and chunks into the dough Scoop the cookies onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in 3-tablespoon-sized mounds. For optimal flavor, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or, even better, overnight. Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Evenly space the dough 3 inches (8 cm) apart from one another on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
I'm single and looking for a phone that does laundry and cleans the kitchen. Will this fit the bill or should I go for the bigger girl and get the pro max? 😁
Needs to be smaller. Not really mini when it’s basically the same size as a 7. I thought it was going to be as small as the original SE, which would truly be mini. Had the mini for a week, with a case it’s practically the size of the pro, which has a telephoto lens. So I’ll be switching to the 12 pro.

Using a wooden spoon, fold the chocolate chips and chunks into the dough
Scoop the cookies onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in 3-tablespoon-sized mounds.

The mini is as big as the 5s
