I started with a fischer Lovebird 2 years ago. He was a completely unhandled, scared bird. Had complete fear of hands, (got him out of a nasty pet shop) He was the typical noisy lovebird that took me a couple months to tame, but as soon as I started having to work more and spend less time with him I decided to get him a peachface buddy.... which these two lovebirds had completely opposite personalities. My fischer also developed a sudden plucking issue. The peachface reminds me of yours, I had an incident with him where he got cage aggressive and I reacted out of not expecting it and he kept the cage aggression and I was never able to pet him after that. He would only accept belly kisses and sitting on me. Eventually I found out the peachface was the one plucking my fischer and I had to find him a better suited home. Now I just have my Fischer and his 2 budgie buddies. Overall my Fischer is super sweet, loves head rubs, but more reserved than the peachface was. maybe its just a peachfaced thing lol
I had a peach faced lovebird growing up, and she was indeed loud. But I took care of a rescue budgie for several months, and she was on another level. She was the loudest bird I have ever had.
For the fruits and veggies tried dicing them up into little bits and adding them to the pellets mix or setting them on top of the mix that might help otherwise she's just being picky... Personality birds do have to their own lovely by the way
I just got my lovebird. It’s only 8 weeks old. Awfully quiet and doesn’t really like to be bothered 😕 seems better in the evening time though I think he’s just not a morning person lol it’s only been a couple of days though so hopefully he warms up to us soon. Not really sure if it’s a boy or girl but we’re getting a DNA test
It's hard to tell, but from the one video, it doesn't seem that you trained her, or trained her consistently. you should definitely go back to basics, teaching her step up and boundaries. without this, no wonder she's owning everything. Also, diet plays a big role in how the lovebird's act. I hope she's on a pellet diet with lots of veg and a SMALL selection of healthy seeds or sprouting seeds. A good start is to look at bird tricks videos on taming and training. it will help a lot. As you appear to be trying to get her to step up with your whole arm and letting her land on your head (dominant position) I hope you two can learn about each other more. With time and training, she will calm down and become a good pet. PS look up hormonal triggers in birds and where to NOT stroke your bird. :)
She was utterly perfect until her hormones kicked in, thankfully when she isn’t laying eggs etc she is still lovely but no where warned me about how difficult females can be which is why I created the video, to warn others 😊
Enjoyable bird to have in an avairy outside... prob with any hand tame parrot is they will call to try locate your position as they would in the wild.. parent reared are a lot easier .
Thaaank you for this. I was struggling to decide between lovebirds and a Pyrrhura conure, but knowing lovebirds really *are* loud helped make the decision!
Hello! Please don't be put off, lovebirds aren't all the same and even if they're loud if you have one, will chirp only several times a day, it's much cuter sound than noisy budgies, I had 2 budgies and they were much louder than lovebird. Pyrrhura can be very loud when hormonal. Good luck with your bird, let us know which one you decided to get👍🏻
Iᴄʟʏɴ Aʀᴛs Awh thank you! And that is a good question, the answer depends on how much time you will have for your bird. If you don’t think you will be around much to keep it A LOT of company, then the nicer thing to do would be to get it a companion 😊
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER If you have any questions let me know X
I had trouble hearing the audio of you speaking, but when I turned it up the popping sound effect was too loud and hurt my ears. I still have no idea what you said

In my experience the issue with noise is they only seem to have one volume setting which is “loud!”
