I just found your channel. I'm 73 and am divorced. I'm learning how to live by myself for the first time in my life. I was in a band in the 60's and also played bass. In the last year I have lost 65 pounds and have lost all my clothes. At my age, my options seem to be limited. Your channel has been very helpful and has given me some hope and confidence. Keep up the great work.

After the end of my 14 year marriage, I purposefully went out to eat by myself. It was weird at first, but it was only weird in my head. I started to see people I haven't seen in DECADES, and we would spark up conversations about old Little League stories, or whatever. It was probably the best thing for my mental health. Cannot recommend enough.
Get out there guys. Be social again. Take care of yourself. Nobody else well, because nobody else can.

@@40OverFashion men need to remember that they are part of a community.
In an LTR or a marriage, it's easy to lose sight of who you are, and what you bring to the table.
I was isolated from my family, and my community by my wife. It was my fault for allowing to happen. It's a hard thing to sort out when you're married with children in your 20s.
Concern for Men's mental health is sorely lacking. I'm glad you're here Jon. Keep being transparent. Hopefully a man on the precipice of a permanent solution to a temporary problem will hear this and choose the better of 2 options.

Thank you for another Amazing video!
I left a very abusive woman after being with her for almost 30 years and married for 25...
I Love my new Life and most importantly, I've learned that it's ok to love me!
In the past 2 years, since leaving her, I've doubled my income and become debt free. I've embraced Single Life and learned to not let a woman define me and that I can only love another as much as I allow myself to love me (without becoming a narcissist).
The world truly opens up for you when you turn that scary corner...
    And WALK TALL!
"You'll never become who you were meant to be...
If you're too content being who you weren't."

Our Home Goods opened in our town almost a year ago and sort of filled the void after Pier One closed it's doors. I go there at least twice a week during the Holiday seasons Halloween through Easter because they are always getting new merchandise. The At Home store is about 50 miles away (also an old K-mart. Must be a thing with them. ) so I don't get there as often . Peace. : )

Too many older men seem to be giving up as evidenced by their lack of personal care and attitudes. I frequently write on my blog about these issues and thoughts running through my head. I'm wondering if there is enough space in the UA-cam world for another voice to share ideas and information around the topics of personal care, style, and mental health. What are your thoughts? I'm not trying to compete with your great station. The guys I'm targeting are older.

Best thing to do after a long relationship is to travel to a place that you always wanted to go. Iceland, Geneva, Prague, Slovakia, Hungary and Asian countries are great because they offer a complete change of environment, well of course if you’re not from there, but you get the gist of it. Go to a place that you don’t speak their native language. This becomes a shock to your experiences and can break you out of the worst of the end relationship funk.

Your great in front of the camera, don’t change for anyone. I had to always drink red wine with my wife for 19 years, even though I always drank single malt scotch,on the rocks. I only drink single malt with a chaser & genuine Cuban cigars. I realised, that even though I still love her, (and she’s married to a DO) I feel ,if I would have been myself, instead of assimilation to her exclusive world, she probably wouldn’t have run off. I’m 57, but I hadn’t had any steady women , however I go out with lady friends, only I get scared off, once they mention marriage it pushes me into hiatus.

Thank you Scotty! Waaay too many red-pill woman haters out there right now. Instead of blaming women, they need to take a long look in the mirror. I take ownership for my own issues and keep putting one foot in front of the next. :)

@@40OverFashion Matt Stafford and his wife are really good examples of what to look for in a relationship. She has been there to support him through a very tough job and a hard move to Los Angeles after so many years in Detroit, and he’s been there through her brain cancer. So many red pill channels go on and on about horrible examples of women (and there are many), but they never identify examples of success stories of a north star which young men could use as an example. Yes, there are inherent flaws in the system which work against men (especially family law), however, it’s equally important for us men to look in the mirror, identify our flaws, and work to become the best versions of ourselves. Glad to hear you’re doing well!

Really good episode! Thank you for sharing. Do you belong to any wine clubs that wineries offer?

Tough one.... I might choose an experience over a physical gift. Or maybe a little bit of both.

I'm 63. I have recently noticed that people on social media now define single as not currently in a relationship. For hundreds of years, it has meant not married. Is this new definition the result of the under 40 crowd's changing words, or should I change with the times?

I guess it all means the same thing. :)

@@40OverFashion thanks, but for years and years, if a guy had a very steady girlfriend, he was still "single"
