I’m Catholic and I wear Mantillas, I don’t show my hair in public and so I use a lot of scarves but I also live in south Texas and it’s unbearably hot so it’s a must to do a head wrap instead of my normal wrap around loose scarves. I’ve always felt insecure about the way the wrap looks on me because I’m the only Veiled Woman in my family and I never learned how to do it but your videos really help me learn and feel more confident in my headwraps
Catherine O Escobedo-Hernandez hello..I feel the same way I’m Catholic and I’m getting into covering my hair with turbans and people from church ask me if I’m converting to Muslim which make me feel like I have to explain my decision maybe because I’ve the years we as Catholic lost the idea of women should cover their heads before entering to mass. But like I said it’s probably because it’s not very common only our ancestors did that but we can be the different..And thank you for your comment I don’t feel alone in my journey to dress modest and cover my hair..God Bess You
Catherine O Escobedo-Hernandez speaking too much
@@haifaaalsafadi3546 you're very rude
@@haifaaalsafadi3546 Rude Bitc....
Hi Catherine, I'm Catholic & in Texas also! I also, attend the Tridentine Mass at our FSSP parish, & the majority of us women wear veils..but not outside of Mass, everyday, on a regular basis. Would you mind telling me about why you cover your head all the time please? I understand the meaning of being veiled & why it's important at Mass but not sure if you're just trying to carry that on to everyday, maybe? Honestly, I'm here checking this video out because being open to life has left me w/a balding hairline after every baby. ( I do take vitamins/supplements.) By the time the short, impossible to style hairs have finally grown out enough, I'm spending 15-20 minutes alone on my hair trying to manuver it in a certain way or style to cover them. Then, I find myself pregnant again, then it grows out slightly faster but start to loose it again about 2-3 months after baby is born. I just had baby #8 & was loosing SO much hair that I finally decided to shave it all off. I had been tempted in the past before but never did it because I honestly lacked more confidence & because I didn't want to attract even more attention than we (big family) already do. Honestly right now, I feel very confident & it's so nice to not worry or waste so much time on my hair. Don't get me wrong, I've always been very girly girl, modest, do like my hair...uh DID like my hair pretty & done, & do wear make up. I don't agree with it being vanity or sinful, we shouldn't be mismatched & frumpy & look like we just rolled out of bed either. It's just being classy, ladylike, giving a good example & representing ourselves with (good) wholesome pride. I don't regret shaving my head & honestly don't miss my hair right now. Though it was the longest its been in a loooong time but thinned out & balding hairline... Ayway, I have a pretty realistic wig I've been using the last week (just shaved a week ago) but was looking for more options Anyway! Sorry for the novel just wanted to know why you cover your head all the time. Thanks and God bless!
Wrapunzel safe my life 😀 I lose my hair for wrong medication, and I think, I never ever go out whitout my bronzegold locks... Doc says at get year or more until my hair grow back. But when I see how beautiful can hair wrapping be, I start living again. Now I go work and shopping, whitout permanent thinking what I look. Okay, I live in Finland, where womens cover their hair only in winter, what mean at people looking after me, but now I now at they dont do it for disgust, only curiosity. I love you all.
Sorry about bad english and long story. ❤
Please don't apologize - thank you for sharing that with us, Hanna! We are honored to have played such a positive role in your journey, even from afar.
Hi Hanna! I'm also from Finland and I've been wrapping my hair since a teenager. I'm moroccan from my father's side so for me it always felt normal and saved me from bad hair days.
Get some vitamin b12 injections!
WOW..I'm so glad I came across this tutorial. I am a Muslim and I will incorporate this style into my hijab wearing days. Thanks for sharing.

Blessed greetings. Im an eclectic pagan and I veil on my worship days. I usually just drape my scarfs but my goddess has asked me to look more presentable so I want to try different wrap styles. This really helped. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this.
I'm Muslim and cover my hair. Thanks so much for this tutorial! Ever since I watched it last year I've been wearing it all the time and get lots of complements on it.
"you've got to tell that scarf who's boss" 🤣 love it, thank you for this tutorial
Thank you wonderful Wrapunzel Ladies. You are great. Your channel and website bring women of all faiths and ethnicities together because we love to wear tichels, hijabs, head wraps, turbans - whatever we call them! Thanks again, Tima
Oh, wow, thank YOU for such wonderful feedback, Tima! We're thrilled to hear that what we're doing is appreciated. Thanks so much for taking the time to write!
I feel so much better reading all these comments. As a christian woman I am the ONLY one I know of my faith who wants to honour God by covering my hair! How wonderful to read so many other faiths coming together in appreciation for this video to learn covering their hair 💖
This is REAL sisterhood! Women of all faiths and cultures coming together and supporting each other.
@@helenbrown8572 there are many more Christain women who cover their hair than you think! ♡♡♡
I love your voice! I want to start, or at least give a try, at wrapping my hair for practical reasons since it is EXTREMELY thick and curly and easily becomes an obstacle and/or a distraction. I’m also interested in getting more in touch with my Jewish roots so this might be a nice avenue for that as well. Thank you for all your resources and the kindness I’ve seen you show to everyone who does or is interested in wrapping/veiling their hair!
Idk how I found this channel I'm so blessed i did!!! I'll be ordering wraps soon from your site. Thanks for explaining how to use the scarves and giving us the basic skills to be creative on our own. You are a blessing!!!
Good day! You've probably never received a post like this one but here goes. I love, love, love head wraps, I bought some scarfs and for the life of me could not get the hang of it, well, I live in an RV and sometimes it's difficult to get my hair washed daily so on those bad hair days(even on good hair days) I plan to wrap. I've been watching your tutorials most especially Back to Basics with Tichal Darling and I absolutely will not give up, I will practice and practice until I get it right! Love all your videos and will keep watching!!
I feel comfortable with my hair covered (normally with a beanie or a large bandana) but am excited to learn with a scarf. This was an amazing tutorial. Thank you and blessed be
Love from france!! Wearing proudly tichels like a jewish princess😃
Might be a silly question, but is France a safe place for Jews?
I'd love to work there, but I've heard some bad things.
I love how your scarf coordinates with your tops! 👍👍
I started veiling about a month ago, I had no idea what I was doing!
Your wonderful videos taught me so much!
The scarf looks stunning after you've only tied the first knot! So glamourous.
I'm Catholic too but starting to wear scarves because of the pandemic...like my hair wrapped up when I go out..these are so pretty...and modest.
Hi Andrea, I recived my 1st volumizer yesterday, so to day I've been practising, you make it look easy and I've just discovered it's not lol. I then noticed that the way you tie your knot was much neater and seemed to sit better in the nap of the neck, so I tried it the way you did in this video. It wasn't easy as it wasn't the way I had been tying my Tichel your way is much better as it lies flatter on the neck line. I'd not thought about the way one ties a knot could make so much difference, but it really does. I've still got a long way to go I'm having problems judging how much to turn in for it to sit on the neck in the right place, also I'd got a couple of pashmina's of a heavier weight that I'd had for a few years these aren't so easy to tie as they are thicker, it also dissent help when one has a left arm injury that makes it extremely difficult to raid ones arm above ones head, still as they say practice makes perfect. I've watched many of the wrapunzle video's and can't wait till I all the practice pays off. You do make it look easy though lol lol
Hey have you ever noticed that Black women have a lot of really creative ways to wrap a scarf around their heads? Some of them do amazing things with scarves and their hair is completely covered
+tango tangoromeo Yep! Lots of cultures and traditions practice the art of hair covering! Each style is unique and gorgeous! :)
As a black woman I used to tie my hair up to go to bed. Now scarves are a FASHION STATEMENT!!!! How far we have come. I started using scarves this year and have not looked back!!!! LOVE THEM. I do something a little different but I cannot give my secret away. Maybe I'll make a video!!!!!
Yes they are really creative

Hello from Amman,Jordan!
I m watch you from more than 2weeks,I get in love with your technique to cover the hair.
Sure I will try it in the future!
Thank you!
The shine on that pashmina is beautiful. You look gorgeous as always. X
This is a great tutorial! Thank you. I have been having trouble with my pashmina not knowing how to tie it up. I’m a pagan that have felt the conviction to vail my head. I love tichel tutorials and have been a fan of your channel for a few years.
I tried to do it and I can’t tie under. My mind and body force me to tie over. It looks bulky but it might just be because I need more practice.

thank you thank you thank you. I have been jumping ahead of myself in some of my wraps and then I get frustrated and not happy. This video really helped me to slow down and get the basics down. Getting control of my scarf is the ingredient I have been missing. Thank you Andrea. You are such a blessing to me.
Thanks I have learned a lot, kiss
Heard about Wrapunzel through Frillability and her super cute hijabs; I'm really wanting to explore my heritage more, and I think I might start with the Tichel. Never was an observant Jew, however I do see a few Orthodox women around with their scarves.
I am hoping to visit Israel next year, better start working on my Hebrew.
We're so glad you've found us, Lara! We actually know of many more secular women who choose to wear a tichel, so you're definitely not alone!

That is beautiful! Great color for you, by the way!
Beautiful. I remember watching couple of years ago I used to do this style then became so careless and folded it however. Not so neat and messy. I should follow these steps again. And other beautiful and maxing styles you did. Thank you

Thank you sister. This was one of the most useful hijab wrap I've found. I appreciate the detail.

You're so very welcome, Noor! Glad it is helpful for you.
Wrapunzel Ladies is there a way a wrap you can do with a ribbed long oblong scarf ( bought it at Jc Penny) I did this style I saw I had this style did great with this scarf if you like volume but was curious what other styles would be great for it
Hm... Can you tell us what material the scarf is made of? What's its thickness like? Certain scarves wrap better in some styles than others, so we want to be sure that we can give the best advice. :)
It's made 100% polyester its says on the tag it's a thin scarf but since it's like a ripple effect looks thick when doubled over since it's a maxi one so soft on the skin Dina Tokia has a few videos with this one but with her styles I can't wear at work:/ she has this scarf in a dusty pink I think
I started wrapping my head (in white) when I was practicing Kundalini. NOW.. I wrap my head because of the BALANCE I feel when my head is covered. I have received so many compliments with my head covered. Thank you “Wrapunzil” for being there for me!
We are so happy to hear of the joy that head wrapping has brought you! :)
OK I'm a hijabi and live in Florida where it's so humid. And I'm in perimenopause. I'm very interested in covering my hair this way. But I'm also losing my hair on top. Which is why I'm not a big fan of the tight caps. This looks like a great way to be modest. And it's so gorgeous. I didn't realize Jewish women did this still. But much power to you sisters. ❤❤ yay for modesty living.
I have done my first ever covering this morning and this was so easy to follow i didn't feel frustrated at all.
You make it look so nice!
you have such a beautiful smile!
Very nice wrap style... love it
Shaper and head band needed. I have been wearing wraps for years but have always struggled with this look you are teaching. I have a question the shaper and bun is that the technical name for it?
Nicely done! Thank you.
thanks so my much. I'm still trying to get to grips with materials and sizing. I'm a bit of a got to go girl so it's pretty much wrap bag out the door. but honest this is true by the time I get to town which is about 30 min walk il be in peacocks changing rooms redoing iy
Thank you! Can you do the wrap without the first layer of no-slip headband? Just wrap it directly on the hair?
Thank you for this tutorial
Oh, I love the " doek" as we refer to in South Africa. I was fascinated by Jewish women on how they rock it when I visited the country back in time. You really look stunning in your "doeks" love it❤❤❤

SO BEAUTIFUL AND FEMININE. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
Like. That's my favorite color there too or one big ones. I have wrap used just a little but different title style I guess. It is India made wrap but Fringe end like. Wraps are in much wrinkled side but brings some of ok look, at times.
Best turban tutorial video ever... Thank you 💖
I love watching this video over and over thank you for this video
Makes a change to see a head wrap done by somebody who has hair. I have a huge thick bun of hair on my head so I use head wraps all the time. X
Woo, more advanced hair scarf styles. I'll be watching later, I'm just starting.
I am growing out my pixie hair do i need a shaper bun or can i just use it with my short hair? I love this tutorial by the way! Thank you :)
Hi, Andrea- thanks for the lovely compliment! You can definitely wear a Regal Wrap with short hair, but without a large pony tail or bun, will have to wrap your tails around the front of your head, which will give a slightly different look. Definitely don't skip a No-Slip Headband, though, as that will prevent the scarf from slipping back throughout the day and eliminate the need to retie or adjust periodically. :)
Absolutely beautiful!!😄😁😃😂😃 You are also very beautiful. You really make the wrap look very nice with your gorgeous face. Thanks for the tutorial. I have always wondered how women do their turbans, and I have always thought that they look very pretty.

As someone who is new to this? Have you experienced hair loss? Or receding hairline from always having your hair tied back? Love the tutorial :)
I love that color 😍
Hi, I have a pb: i bought many squares that i use as triangles, but now i like better long scarfs! Any ideas welcome!
So beautiful. Is it possible to buy the bun and head wrap in one piece?
. Where is the best place to purchase these scarves online? Very soon I will lose my hair but this tutorial has given me inspiration to adjust to my condition and remain dignified and calm. You are wonderful.
It would be good to know the type of fabric used in the scarves. I can see that chiffons and rayon might be too slippy. Would a mixture of fine wool and silk work?
Thank you this was very helpful!! :)
i'm new to wrapping.. i just got a few scarves and a shaper from wrapunzel.. i have super thin hair..just enough for a tiny pony tail.. i have an issue trying to keep my shaper down low on the back of my head.. it keeps slipping up and showing my hair near the nape of my neck.. do you have any suggestions on keeping my shaper to stay?
This looks easy for me. I love turbans or short scarves. They look great 👍 👌 this tutorial looks good 👍 👌
