+Malt I love Adele but Jessie j is definitely better in terms of technical skill, and range.
Adele sings in patterns, you can see all of her songs are pretty similar, the singing technic are also the same in almost all of her song. Adele range is not as big as Jessie's, she's an alto and can't really hit high notes.
Meanwhile we've seen Jessie j sang different genres of songs with different technic in the past. (Edm, ballad, pop, etc) she is a mezzo soprano and her range is also pretty impressive.
If you talk about their voice's color/tone. it's a preference, for me I like Adele more.
Thank GOD this was said! Adele writes great music, and she has a very soulful sound. Her success is deserved, and the sound of a voice is important. But you can't match what Jessie does NOTHING is out of her range absolutely nothing.

Gurl I can assure you ahe has never used autotune... this is always her natural voice, a real gift. You can only hear her voice edited in the studio versin a little bit and still ij live version she sings way better than in studio version. She actually should make an acoustic live album because she does not need any edit on her voice.

I'm considering doing one of these too! There are some other amazing things she does like the mic to throat sound effect thing she did at the disney paris performance for excuse my rude and at other places, one where she sang like a whistle register note, some improvisations she did at her concerts like that Shane song, some other instagram vids, her "at last" warm-up and some from her earlier vids like a few riffs in casualty of love to show her really warm, feminine/womanly sound that she has with a ballad-y vibrato...as oppose to what we usually hear from her nowadays in her Bang Bang and other song on radio..really high and pop-ish with fast vibrato. I wish she'd do more ballads, just love that warm velvety timbre she has but doesn't use too much recently.
