Thermal detonator prop with lights and sound

I built a couple years ago, from a 3-D print and then followed instructions on Instructables on how to put in the lights and sound. Pretty difficult to fit it in there, but I love it once it was all built.

Okay, but if you throw it at someone, can't they just grab it and turn it off? Unless you cook it (I think that's what it's called) with perfect timing, I guess.
