with the splash one, you get more water on you from just standing by the guard rails and watch... some people even try to see how long they dare to stand there
I tried standing there once, holding the railing with both hands without letting go as the raft came. It was kind of a bet/dare-situation with my best pal and my sister. We got wet to the bone. Luckily the sun was out, and we were all goth.
There are several amusement parks in Norway, you have Tusenfryd, Hunderfossen amusement park, Bø Sommerland and Kongeparken in Stavanger, they are not all like Tusenfryd with mad rides and all but they offer various things tough.

i just wanna mention that in Dyreparken ("the animal park") in Kristiansand we had Storslegga, "the big hammer" which was essentially the spinspider. but, then an attraction of the same type in an american amusement park had an accident that got someone killed, and so, that specific ride was removed from Dyreparken.
The trafic joy at 7:41 is just for kids in a specific age group, cant remember but its like 7-12 or something, and they first have a good basic theoretical class, then they get to drive and follow the trafic rules they have learned like stop, yeald and traffic lights, then they get thir own "licence" with name and picture, and a basic understanding of the trafficrules.. I remember i loved it, but its like 25 years since i did it
I remember loving that ride as a child! Learning the traffic rules, driving, and getting your own license was amazing! I think I still have that license somewhere at home... 😂
7:52 Yes they can drive the cars after completing training and getting their drivers license. It even looks like a real licence with real name and picture. 🤣 If you want more of a Norwegian special park you can look at Hunderfossen Eventyrpark.
was looking for this comment! love that they still do this, got my licence in a album alongside all the pictures taken that day somewhere (hunderfossen), and i got mine 22 years ago! xD
Tusenfryd is like 20 km south of Oslo. And it isn't all that. We have season cards in our family, so we go there 8-10 or more times a season. Check out Helix in Liseberg, Gothenburg, Sweden. Now THERE's a ride! SpinSpider is my go to attraction at Tusenfryd. Made my 11 year daughter and her friend to take it with me a few weeks ago. That was fun. Next year there will be a new under hanging roller coaster at Tusenfryd.
As an adult, I find that little cowboy train thing the most scary, because it is built for kids. As an adult it feels like you sit on top of the train instead of in it, and it feels unstable and wobbly and ... No. Not for me. Never again! I know it's safe, but it scared the living daylights out of me 😄

The wooden one gives me whiplash and it hurts my neck and shoulders, so yeah, it is not recommendable if you value your neck. Though as a ride it is well built and a classic. I still remember the sensation a decade later. Tusenfryd is fun and can entertain you for a few hours, but I do my very best to not buy any food there. Or anything really. Is so expensive that you have to plan ahead what you will let yourself buy. Plus, you also have to make sure you have good shoes since it is all built up-hill, so you do *a lot* of walking. It is also very easy to navigate. So even if you lose your kid there it's still navigational enough for every party to find rides to meet up by. As a 6-year-old, I had the time of my life for 3 hours on my own navigating the place with no issue, feeling safe too (I had ditched my activities group). Very family-friendly though I don´t think I have seen people in wheelchairs the times I have been there. While a wheelchair technically can go to most places in Tusenfryd, I would not have a good time if I was wheelchair-bound. So there is that. It is also probably a lot smaller amusement park than most of its American counterparts.
Yeah, this one is where U.S really takes a hard win here, you got much wilder and diverse cast of parks, rides and also themes. Albeit, I haven't seen a thrill park with a complete theme in U.S except for Disney world and maybe Universal studios, albeit the latter is more scattered with its theme. I could be completely wrong, I've only been to a six flags, which was quite wild, just horribly long queues, but that's to be expected early in July. I'd say my favourite amusement park experience was Terra Mitica in Spain, Alicante.

This is like any amusement park in the US (or anywhere), just way smaller and way more expensive...
Went to Tusenfryd a handful of times as a child, some 20+ years back. Most of the attractions seem about the same, though way back then I was too scared of the big coasters and the like to go on like half of 'em.
I really recommend checking out a video on Hunderfossen Eventyrpark as well. It’s one I went to a lot as a kid. It’s not as large and has fewer rides however it’s got more of a specific theme compared to this one. Hunderfossens theme is old Norwegian folk fairytales like trolls and stuff like that. It’s located in Lillehammer which is a city I’ve previously recommended you react to on the channel. Both Hunderfossen Eventyrpark and Lillehammer as a whole is really cool and definitely worth reacting too.
A fun thing that you looked at this park, I actually work there!:D They are now upgrading their park for many millions (250 million NOK) to upgrade their park and make it an theme park!
On the traffic one, they generally are so you can drive yourself, they don't drive on their own or on rails, I remember similar from Legoland in Denmark in the 90s as well, you got a little fake drivers license afterwards as you're supposed to basically follow traffic laws. :P

It was fun until you take the Space Shot, and they don’t strap you down well enough, so you start to slide out while X meters up in the air, and only thing that kept me from falling to my death was a strap/belt🙄🫣🫠 And I’m afraid of heights… never again! One time on this school trip in high school during Russetiden, one dude passed put while on one of the rides. Another time, this one girl fell out while in the air, and she was taken to the hospital. Not sure if she died or not…
tusenfryd is a good park, only today i noticed theyve actually added a new section called dragonville with a new coaster called storm. im very exited for next time i go! we have other parks as ive seen others mention, but one that i found fun was hunderfossen, its more meant for smaller children honestly, but they have a science building there, which was very interesting! i believe kongeparken has a bobsleigh still that i loved as a kid! bø i sommarland is a water park with an awesome water ride called mot i brøstet, aka courage in the chest, thats the best water slide type ride ive ever taken, its tall and fills your tummy with butterflies!

It’s not in oslo
I think Tusenfryd is more for small children. I would recommend Kristiansand Zoo, Amadeus Zoo,Hunderfossen ,Bjørneparken, but these are not in Oslo. In Oslo, I think the Natural History Museum where you can see real dinosaur skeletons, I also think Kontiki Museum and Fram Museum with Viking ships are interesting to look at.
Its not in oslo is in vinter bro
its not in oslo its outside oslo

I wonder if there is an average american that has a little crush on Norway? ;)
Tusenfryd. ahh yes. Vepsefryd passer også godt. Spesielt nede ved vann delen.
Tusenfryd er veldig gøy.
The amusement parks we have in Norway isnt realy that big, also they are designed more for kids. So we dont have BIG BIG rollercoasters etc.
In trafikk fryd you do steer and drive you Get a ‘drivers licence’
Norway is great but there is one thing that we suck at and that is amusement parks
There is little amusement in paying extra in the norwegian -amusement- park.
