@@steamworkfox4564 the video still has a lot of valid information that is still accurate. The only thing that changed is the plugin.
My dear sir...I have been at this for two hours. you are my savior! every tutorial I watched was for Obs not streamlabs. I was missing that twitch audio track... I was almost at defeat and you saved me. I am in your debt.
Glad I could help!
OMG you made it so simple and easy to follow THANK YOU!!!
Happy to help ✌️
I couldn't solve it for a week. You saved me with just two videos. Thank you so much!

You are a legend my friend ... I've been smashing my head against this darn keyboard (almost literally) and I managed to sort out the audio segregation using this tutorial and the one highlighted in your cards using voicemeeeter banana. Amazing work, thanks a million!

Oh geez, so THIS is how you do it. I was trying to help a friend of mine who insists on using Streamlabs on using the VOD track. In OBS you literally just click a button to choose the track, I didn't realize plugins and stuff had to be installed.
You do not. They updated the software. Check the updated video in the description.
Thank you brother ! Very help full !!! Thanks again !

ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS HELPED MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THANK YOU!
This helped heaps!!!! Thanks man!
No worries ☺️
really good video, congrats!

hey thanks for this, quick one. If i run a dual pc setup to stream with a go xlr, can i simply remove my music from track 2 on my streaming pc and send track 2 to the twitch VOD?
You might want to check this video: ua-cam.com/video/cyQaIUx34hg/v-deo.html
Just make sure music is coming in on a separate stream and is routes to a seperate track which you then can exclude from the VOD.
I'm having an Issue where only the audio I have selected is as my playback device is actually appearing to show audio. I've reinstalled numerous times but haven't had success and followed every step in the video. So If I were to stream it would only send the audio to the playback device and nothing to the Aux output despite me having spotify set in my sound settings as that. PLEASE HELP!!!!
thx for the help homie

@@GreenBoxMedia I had watch the whole video when writing this comment, but was only halfway through the set up process. I can't seem to find the AUX option for VoiceMeeter nor do I see the 6 output options in the audio advanced setting in streamlabs. Have the apps been updated? do you have a more recent video that may help?
@@willowshine6731 make sure to run voicemeeter Bananna.
Streamlabs OBS has been updated and there's an video on my channel about restoring the 6 tracks if you need that many.
@@GreenBoxMedia I downloaded voicemeeter bananna and found the aux option on the sound setting, which is great, but the second voice aux channel didn't show up on the virtual input of the voicemetter app even when I had spotify playing. Plus I can't hear it in my headphones... My ultimate goal is to separate the mic input and the music output (preferably youtube) so that the stream and I can hear the music, but the youtube music won't be in the vod on twitch, just the mic. And I'm not sure if it's possible but I'd like to be able to add a non-copyright track in the vod that doesn't play in the stream. How do I achieve this?
@@willowshine6731 make sure to run voicemeeter Bananna. When you download and install voicemeeter Bananna you also install the regular voicemeeter.

When I use a capture card from ps5 to pc is there a way to separate the Spotify from the capture card so Spotify isn’t recorded? I use a 4K hdmi capture card it was 40$
check the video description.
I've tried unchecking and checking the tracks again, but my twitch vods still have no sound. I have made sure that the recording feature straight from streamlabs has audio. Any thoughts how to fix?
I'd probably give OBS studio a try and Thier new application audio capture feature.
Hi, streamlabs OBS had another update so the advanced settings changed and i can't make it work, there are no more 6 track buttons, trying to make it work with track 2 being the streaming track and 1 the twitch VOD track setting the music source in the 2 track, but didn't work, help please :(

When I open advanced audio settings it doesn't even show that grid view, can you help me?

My version of streamlabs doesnt look like this and Ive got the latest one. 100% unable to recreate what you do here. Any chance you can make a new one? I have Streamlabs Desktop 1.11.2
Check the pinned comment or Video description.
U are straight to the point bro...good work.....fuck all them people who are covering similar topic but don't know themselves what they are explaining. They can't even share screen smh.
Glad it was helpful :)
So...it worked for me... but it also excluded the gameplay sound effects and in game music audio. Anyone know why?
Make sure that they also go to Track 6 but I will look into this since you're not the first one saying that.
Tutorial is quite simple and easy :) but every time I click the open advanced audio settings in my streamlabs obs I get a very different looking screen that has Stream Track and Rec Track :/ when I uncheck one the other automatically unchecks too. Is this a new update? I’m stuck 🥲
i have the same problem. Have you found a way to do it?
I think i finally got it. You need to go to settings --> Output --> check Twitch VOD and then you'll have 2 tracks available
👍
@@yasminetahar2016 Thank you so much! I found it!
Hope it works because he dindt explain that. lol I only got two tracks after doing that in check 1 where the music is… just like that?
So I followed everything in this video, yet the music is still in my vods. Anything I could be doing wrong? I have the music and desktop audio separate and the music disabled on the vod track but its still there.
Try following this video as Streamlabs now offers the same method as OBS studio: ua-cam.com/video/ZwnD3tjhPO4/v-deo.html
@@GreenBoxMedia Just can't seem to get it to work with streamlabs obs. I'm going to try obs and see if it works properly. Thank you so much
Hey there. Indeed there was a update in Streamlabs OBS this video might help you out: ua-cam.com/video/M2YcfCWblls/v-deo.html (make sure to uninstall the twitch soundtrack again before)
i just did a format on my pc ... and i used this guide again to separate my music for going on the vod. The problem is that twitch soundtrack is not available anymore . what do i do now ?
check the updated videos in the description.
Thank you once again man !@@GreenBoxMedia
this setting was enabled by default for some reason, i couldnt figure out why when streaming my audio would be fine but on my vods my voice would be removed and it would only be game audio. until now
Happy you figured it out then :)
So for this to work, do I have to be using Voicemeeter? Thanks for the vid
Yes
How did you setup voicemeter? We have to use voicemeter or we don’t have to?
All you need is two audio tracks..so either use voicemeeter Bananna or use virtual audio cable.
question, if I'm using a computer to stream to Tiktok, would the twitch vod track option also work for tiktok as well?? so the vod that gets saved to tiktok doesnt have music??
No, this is a Twich exclusive feature. TikTok has not implemented it.
@@GreenBoxMedia gotcha, so theres no way to split the audio for tiktok yet
@@xxtruss5556 no and there probably won't be any as that's not a usecase TikTok is intended for.
@@GreenBoxMedia sadge
Hey :) I'm trying this tomorrow. Does this work for clips too? :)
Yes it does!
does this work with listening to music on youtube??? does it have to be spotify or an app
As long as the audio coming from the software you are using to play music can be routed to a different playback device using the "app volume and device preferences" or built in settings, you can use whatever software you like.
Hey one question ... after i did everything you sed
twitch dosent save my vods , any advice ?
This must be a twitch setting.
I dont have the Twitch soundtrack in my streamlabs. I think they got rid of it
If you never installed it you are all good.
I livestream and then I download my videos to edit them in Premiere Pro, would this feature allow me to have multiple audio tracks in Premiere Pro? And then adjust the sound of each ones for my edit?
No. For that you would have to record it with OBS and not download it.
@@GreenBoxMedia thank you for your answer kind sir
my soundtrack stills says install and i cant install the streaming software plugin
Check if your version of Streamlabs already has the twitch VOD Track feature in the settings like in OBS Studio.
Slobs have just updated… can I still do this as I can’t find tracks anywhere…
Yes you can. The video in the description might help.
does anyone here know how to keep the desktop audio in your vods? i stream to twitch and never seem to be able to keep the desktop audio
you might want to check the updated video in the description as streamlabs changed up a few things.
Tried this but it excluded my game audio too despite having tracks 1 and 6 selected. I will try the "unticking and ticking again" method to see if that fixes it.
Hey Tomahoop there was a streamlabs update. I hope this video can help you get on the right track again, sorry: ua-cam.com/video/M2YcfCWblls/v-deo.html

Does this still work? I have Streamlabs 1.5.2 . The music transfers to Twitch VODs :(
Check the other video i did for OBS studio that method works for Streamlabs too now.
Hey there quick followup. There was an update (twitch soundtrack not needed anymore). This video might help you with that: ua-cam.com/video/M2YcfCWblls/v-deo.html
yeah that was helpful
Happy to help ✌️
Tested everything now and I just can't get it to work as intended. After reading abit I see others have the same problem as I do, when I'm live all audio is working but when I check my VOD only my mic is working. So I seem to capture and save the mic only at the VOD but not the in-game sound and I don't see what's causing this.
EDIT: Yes, I followed your other video with voice meeter banana.
Can you try using the same mathod as shown in my OBS video regarding VODs? Streamlabs now implemented the same method as in OBS Studio.
@@GreenBoxMedia Thank you, will try fiddle around a bit more, seems like the Twitch soundtrack plugin is causing problems.
Hey i looked into it. There is an update to streamlabs. You can now uninstall the twitch soundtrack software.
This video should give you the information you need to make it work: ua-cam.com/video/M2YcfCWblls/v-deo.html
Don't you have to go in settings/output/advanced and tick the Twitch Vod and set it to 6? I have this option so would it work without ticking it on as described in the video?
I tested it as shown in the Video.
I am unaware that Streamlabs OBS now has this setting too as it, for a long time, was an exclusive one to OBS Studio.
@@GreenBoxMedia Yea, I guess it was added with the newest Streamlabs update 1.3.3. I don't know if its basically the same process as OBS Studio when you did OBS Studio's walkthrough of it.
I was not yet able to verify, but it sounds very similar to the regular OBS process. However, this method with the twitch soundtrack plugin works as well.
so wait whatever you dont watch to be in vods put it to soundtrack 6?
Track 6 is going to the VOD and Track 1 to the Livestream.
For this to work properly do I have to have voicemeeter opened while streaming?
Yes check the video in the description for more info.
@@GreenBoxMedia I’m experiencing a problem now. When playing Warzone it doesn’t show up in my stream labs audio or in the voicemeeter banana. Any help or suggestions in this?
hello thanks alot for this video but I still have the desktop audio cutting out I don't know why even tho I have all the audio tracks on exactly like my mic settings. :(
cutting out from the vod I mean. On stream its perfect
should I click on track number 6 every time I need to do this?
Everything that needs to be audible in the VOD needs to have Track 6 ticked.
In other words tick track 1 and 6 for everything except music.
@@GreenBoxMedia yeah but like i need to tick and untick them to work. I have to do it in every stream
Hey Knight. There was a Streamlabs OBS update and this follow-up video might help guid you to a solution (twitch soundtrack can be uninstalled now) ua-cam.com/video/M2YcfCWblls/v-deo.html

Thanks :)
I stream from a Mac and it seems this plugin from Twitch is only available for PCs. Appreciate if you could provide a solution for folks like me on the Mac platform. Thanks. (BTW: I do have Blackhole installed to capture desktop audio for my stream on Mac so if your solution can use blackhole, it would be even better :) )
Check this video:ua-cam.com/video/ZwnD3tjhPO4/v-deo.html
As long as you can seperate music for your other audio this should work on Mac too.
@@GreenBoxMedia Thanks for your quick response. This might work but I am using Streamlabs OBS... how do I configure VOD channel in Streamlabs OBS?
@@torgauravk872 Streamlabs (at least on windows) has now implemented this functionality too. So you can follow it 1:1
In Streamlabs OBS: I am assuming Channel 1 is for stream by default. I don't know where to look and find out the channel being used for VOD... and how to change it to from default to a different channel
I don't have my OSX device with me right now but you should be able to change streaming service to twitch than activate the VOD setting. After that you will find the track routing inside the advanced audio settings (settings icon in the audio panel inside OBS)
Streamlabs no longer has that sort of Audio Advanced Settings, and im not sure what to do for 4:22 D:

@@GreenBoxMedia oh, thanks XD

After that they will appear in the advanced audio setting
@@jackperkins7448 yep but for the Twitch VOD Feature we now have to work with 'stream tracks' rather than the 'recording tracks'. How to do that I demonstrated in the video posted in the comment before.

Does this work with UA-cam music?
If you seperat the UA-cam music source (how to split tracks video in description) then yes.
how come i don't see 'twitch soundtrack' at the bottom of the standard? like literally everything else my obs is exactly the same format as yours word for word. but that last column it just says 'Scene'.
i don't know what to do.
Have you followed the video and installed the Twitch Soundtrack Plugin and showed in the video?
@@GreenBoxMedia sorry i missed the intro. I now downloaded the twitch soundtrack, and followed through your video until the end. but when i try to play any youtube video while recording on streamLab. the sound still gets transfered to the VOD.
so i don't know if i doing something wrong or not, since you never showed what the correct configuration would be like.
@@Treeborn As said in the video, there is a video for that as well in the description: ua-cam.com/video/dZkmpQ0npV8/v-deo.html
@@GreenBoxMedia i don't see how the video you linked would show me the solution. in that video, it seems to show how to separate sound sources from different applications. but my problem was how to mute music, which can come from any type of source. so essentially i need to mute everything except my mic in the VOD. i don't want to download another one of those bloatware.
In order to only send certain sources to a specific Track using streamlabs OBS you need to first separate those sources on different audio channels on your system. You can either do this by using the recommended software "VB-Audio Voicemeeter Banana" or in case of using an elgato Wave product the "Elgato Wave Link". If you wish not to install software, you can also accomplish this by buying a hardware audio mixing device. Just make sure your system has enough physical outputs and inputs.
Once you separated your sources of sound on your system using software or hardware, you then can send those channels individually to different tracks in Streamlabs OBS thus sending music and to track 1 which is only audible live but not in the VODs.
Does this work with yt music?
If you seperate your youtube browser to a seperate audio source yes. Or when you use OBS Studio instead.
ua-cam.com/video/0Lj5rkqSp48/v-deo.html
I've done everything to match you exactly and for whatever reason my game sound/desktop audio doesn't show up in my vods. I feel like I've tried everything

@@CloudyCloud My fix would be to use OBS Studio instead. Other than that, not really. ua-cam.com/video/ZwnD3tjhPO4/v-deo.html
@@GreenBoxMedia thanks for the replies, I moved everything over to SLOBS a while ago I would hate to go back. Honestly I'll just have to deal with vods being only my mic. Ticking and unticking didn't fix it either. I wonder what causes it with some people and not others.

Treat that as a regular input in OBS and send it to the stream and VOD unless you are playing music on your PS5 then it is impossible to separate the music from it.

followed it to a T and with splitting and all but no game sound in vod just me talking
i have both 1/6 ticked music is out but no desktop audio
And you used voicemeeter to send the desktop audio to a separate virtual audio track?
Yea I did that aswell
When I play music it’s shows on the right of voice meter and when I play anything on pc it shows on left one question aswell it shows on your videos that u still have the twitch sound track under source in ur newest videos do u still need that if ur not using the twitch sound track anymore
Everything is working how u said no music ect in vod but it’s only picking up my mic
I FOLLOWED EVERY STEP NEVER GOT MUSIC TO COME THRU
Isn't that exactly what we want? Not to have music in the VODs?
tried it, the vod only included my mic, no game sound and no music
By default, a new source is going to all tracks. If that for some reason is NOT the case. Make sure that all sources that need to go to the VOD are going to track 6 in the advanced audio settings, this includes game sound etc...
