I love how the Tacoma is so versatile it can be a trophy truck or I’m building mine with 1 ton axles on 46s they can go everywhere that a jeep can as far as being able to go somewhere that a full-size truck can’t and you still have a bed to put stuff in for when you go camping and traveling😂

This is one hell of a truck to drive especially while in a big monsoon storm on the expressway. 4 hours of cruising in this thing was one hell of a joyride for me.

They’ll get the job done and still be on the road 30 years later. I drove a 2021 Cummins ram 3500 at my previous job, and that thing sucked down fuel like crazy.

I just sold my 2002 Tundra 5.7 4x4. 540,000 miles on it and you could still set a watch to that engine timing. Transfer case and trans still flawless as day 1. How was the body? Great, save a few scratch and dings over the last 21 years. A bit of surface rust over the rear wheels (as expected).

I thought they had a 4.7L v8 back in 2002. I would say any vehicle that has 26,000 miles per year is probably worn out, and 26k for 21 years, oh yeah it’s time for a rebuild!
A kid next door did thus to his Tacoma with all the bells and whistle even installing an air intake snorkel and not long after it just sat on their driveway for about 5 years now without being driven. The kid got a Subaru suv and the Tacoma still collecting dust. I am guessing he must have done some really expensive damage to the Tacoma or probably went underwater.
Now it needs another 100hp
