- Your unforgettable Sedona experience must include spending time at internationally renowned Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh), Sedona Arizona's Arts & Crafts Village, on of the best things to do in Sedona. Nestled beneath the shade of the sycamores on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek in Sedona, Tlaquepaque is the most distinctive Sedona shopping experience to be found in the Southwest.

Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village Walking Tour - Sedona, Arizona, USA
Seems bigger than it was when my family visited in the 1970s
They probably expanded the area. Some of the shops seemed pretty new.
I loved visiting this shopping village with my wife and daughter. My fiance lived in Zacatecas Mexico when I met her, a Mexican colonial city 8000 feet high, and a UNESCO world heritage site. This shopping plaza reminded us of parts of her hometown, also full of fountains and art stores. This video is an excellent walk thru, the shopping center used to be much harder to turn into, then Sedona added a left turn lane and also roundabouts in case traffic was too high to make a left turn as it often is during high season.
We Arizonans are proud of Sedona--being from the Napa Valley originally, I refer to Sedona as the "Napa" of Arizona with many places to stay and the scenery amazes like Napa, in its own way.
Next door Los Abrigados has a wonderful Christmas lights display yearly as well, making the two destinations worthy of a combined late afternoon and evening visit during the Holidays.
