The first hive test was a little skewed as the hive was only pollinating that one corner of the field . What I want to know is with all the new mulchers, harrows etc, what combinations give more and highest yields overall , thanks for all the work you do for us !!
If it works on a percentage of yield and depending whether they stack then the differences may have been slightly bigger if all field work had been done. It appears now, unless I am misreading the in game guide, that you should run a mulcher over the stubble from the last harvest and also roll the fields to remove the smaller stones. These will both add another percentage of increased yield. I’m not sure if rolling is necessary as well as rock picking. Hey MrSealyP, I watch all your guide videos and really enjoy the time you put in to them. However I would like to point out Giants only added "season cycles" better reffered to as weather cycles, they did not add anything like the seasons mod does and have left that to the modders to add again. Thank's for the time you put in to all this and can't wait for the next video.
You can only fit one pallet in that box so if you have the capacity to have 3 pallets a day you'll still only get one. So giants really need to make the pallet spawn zone much larger.
If the bees have a pollination range from the hive, you put your hives in the worst possible place, in the corner, only getting about 25% of the possible benefit.
Nice video, but think that for the last test maybe put something like 4 or 5 down each side spread out (total of 8 or maybe even 10), as they large hives only can improve crops by 150 feet from the hive, so all of them close together wouldn't really help much for the slightly improvement in crop yield.
Beehives have the passive property of increasing the yield of sunflowers, rapeseed, and potatoes when you place both in the same field. The exact values of the increase in yield are as follows: Sunflowers: + 5% increase in yield. Rapeseed and potatoes: + 2.5% increase in yield.
Ok based on my experience placing six of the 19k hives also gives you 1 pallet per day if you don't move the pallet. I think this might be a bug, because if you remove the full pallet that spawns every ingame hour, you get one every hour which equates to 24 pallets per day. So you have to move the pallwt off every hour to spawn more pallets.
Really the spawn point needs to be bigger, or give you a range of sizes if it's supposed to cater for all the hives you own. Hopefully a modder will be along to rectify this shortly.
The game needs a few updates , now we have a base game with seasons. I think that things will change as soon we have precision farming. But they need to work on the yields bonuses .
Keep the bees in the towards the center of the fields. As for the growth time missing, Set month length to 1 day and just sleep a couple times, done. With FS19 you had to wait till night to be sleepy in order to pass another day. I much prefer this method, at least for single player, haven't tried multiplayer.

Thanks for the video! I had a look earlier and didn't realise you only had one load point for honey. I spent ages trying to put one point per hive, thought it was bugged, so gave up lol. Feeling a bit foolish now :). Are you going to do a guide to horses? Wondering if there are any changes from FS19...I always appreciate the hard work you put into these videos, so thank you very much.
@@peteharnetty926 It depends on how fast you ride, I've noticed. Which makes more sense. In FS19 it didn't matter if you walked or galloped, the length of time it took to get 100% was the same. In Fs22, if you walk the horse, it takes a lot longer to get to 100% but galloping takes about a minute as you said :)
The pallet stuck in the ground can be retrieved if you use a tractor with a front lifter or similar heavy vehicle, basically pushing the fork into it and then just lowering and raising and shaking the fork for a bit. I've extracted multiple pallets this way, it does take some time however, anything from almost instantly to a few minutes. Also, the bee hives could have a circular yield increase area so placing that many so close might have them overlap so you might gain a larger yield increase if you spread them out on all sides of the field. Still i doubt the increase will be much larger if there's a difference.
More careful placement of hives is needed. Pollination radius of 125 m means you should place the first one 125 m along the filed and then 250m apart for max benefit. Stacking them so close means you have wasted hives. Be nice to see a ring around the hive when placing to make it obvious. Where the pollination radius is. Most efficient way is probably up the centre of a field.
I was considering this last night while placing some hives, then I realised I have no clue how far 50 or 100 metres is in game. Although I did see somebody suggest lining up equipment end to end to work it out. Just need to buy 33 x 3m ploughs now…. 😆😆
I wonder if they made crops take so long to grow and removed the ability to change crop growth speed as a way to balance production chains? I mean if you think about it, it would make sense as if the crops grew as fast as they did in 19 then you would have so much material for your production chains that it would be overly profitable. I generally didn't play seasons myself in 19 as I didn't like waiting for crops to grow 90% of the time I found myself just standing with time at 120x just waiting for harvest, it gets better later on once you have animals but still was a lot of waiting. In fs22 with production chains and the ability to sleep whenever I definitely think there will be more to do and less of a waiting game shoot I'll probably even play with seasonal growth on.
A little heads up MrSealyP giants has bought back collectibles they are dotted around the map multiple types. Thay look like wooden children's toys shaped after tractors, implement, trailers and animals. There are ten each hidden each one you pick gives 1K in your wallet get all 10 of the same type get 100k in to your wallet. There 100 in total might be a good how to video in the future. Thank you for doing the how-to videos and keep up the good work
I felt bad collecting them, wandering around camping areas and buildings stealing kids toys… I am enjoying the extra bit of fun, a very important lesson I learnt is that if there is a ladder I can climb up, the chances are there is a collectible up there somewhere. I have ended up in some very odd places.
Not sure if anyone will get to see but theres a way to autosell honey no transport needed, simply buy a farmers market like 60k or something (Ive only played hard mode) then toggle the snapping so you can place bee palet point directly on the sell point of the farmers market so as soon as it pops out honey it insta sells, normally they come in full pallets so no u wont be spammed with it saying sold just at the start of month with full pallets, great idle money income, can always sell pallet mark till good season and replace on the market sell point increasing money output if u can be bothered but I wouldnt bother
I have hard time with the Honey Pallet. I wish the Honey can be like Green House product. Or perhaps simple and fast method to load the pallet. Thanks for the Vid.
Hopefully global company will update thier honey poduction mod so yo can place them around fields to get the yield bonus. You could then go round collecting the frames and process the honey. Would be so much better than what is currently provided in FS22. The single sale point is a joke. Also when supplying honey to a factory (for cereal production) it should be with an IBC or large plastic containers. Jars are for retail sales.
So after watching that I'm going to say bees aren't exactly working as intended in terms of pollination, the yield increase surely can't be that small on purpose. The honey spawn point also needs to be made a bit bigger. Thank for the great work on the videos MrSealyp!
im guessing it only increases the field yield of the parts within the 150m or whatever radius the hive has. but i see potential for mods to change this up and make it worthwhile.
I'm thinking maybe the range on the beehives could be the area of effect, so if you had put the hive at the middle of the long side of the field it would have covered more of it. And maybe the only reason multiple worked better is because the area of effect is spread out more. But by the looks of the numbers you got it won't be any huge increase anyway.
The range on the behive is not range to honey pallet location - it's range of effect of yield increase... you placed the behives miles away from the crops :)
Ran into the very same issue with honeypallets getting stuck. The only way to get them loose is ram it in high speed with a tractor equipped with forks and lower the forks so they dig into the ground just before you hit the pallet it has a chanse to glitch loose. one got stuck real bad when I played online so I placed a tractor with the forks aimed towards the pallet and the other player rammed the tractor from behind using a semitrailer. took many hits but it came loose. Its such a big hassle so for now I dont bother with bees at all until they fix this issue 😅
I think what's happening is that only plants within the radius get the bonus yield, but it doesn't stack, you can only pollenate a plant once. You don't get any extra benefit from overloading hives in one spot, you just need to cover the whole field.
The vaguery of the "information" Giants provides in FS22 compared to 19 is disappointing. I want to see data on our yields from our fields somewhere. Also, you're not wrong about the settings. I have noticed a few missing settings options from FS19 that aren't in FS22. Seems odd they reduced options rather than increased them. This game in general feels like a lateral step, rather than a step forward.
Keep the vid coming going to need them big thumbs up. P.s just looking thought menus has any one seen that auger wagon it's huge wow. What's happening with saddle trac have u got it on ps5?
Thanks for doing all the work it helps so much. What if like in the real world the bees grow and the hive gets bigger so the production of them would increase to your fields(?)
Glad you can rotate placeables on ps5. I can't on PS4. Have problems with crates getting stuck in the ground. A weird black line that shoots off the tractors and so on. Kinda disappointed so far in the game hopefully an update will fix the isssues
I have a pallet of honey stuck as well. I think it may have happened as a result of not keeping the area clean to allow more to respawn. It would be nice to direct sell it like the greenhouses.
@@jasonhill9652Not sure, but it is much easier then having to load up and deliver. I would guess more money would be made if taken delivered by yourself.
This quality video highlights many more problems with the oversimplification of Giants Software Seasons. No deaths due to lack if feeding or water, crop bee pollination basically useless except on very small fields, lack of chicken variety, roosters not required for breeding, transport fees for chickens bevause you cannot transport for an option and forced to pay, and so on. Disturbingly, I have found overlooked testing bugs on the were contracts cannot be completed due to insufficient yields, and a host of other game interrupting issues. Not to mention the CLAAS Xerion Saddle-Trac pack cannot be installed on consoles for pre-order buyers and the same DLC mucks up PC installs. presently. How is this an overall improvement over Realismus Modding Seasons inclusions in FS19?
In my opinion the main improvements are graphics productions and groundwork over 19 with everything else falling slightly short of seasons and whatnot but hopefully modders will come in and save the day as always and improve what giants have done to the game
If you compare oranges with oranges, FS22 base game is an improvement on FS19 base game in all aspects. The problem is we have all experienced FS19 with seasons and two years of mods which far exceeds FS22 in gameplay experience and realism. Hopefully FS22 will improve with mods but it will take time. Until then keep playing with FS19 (with mods) if you prefer better gameplay or play FS22 if you prefer better graphics/sound and production chains.
I had no issues getting the claas pack pre order on ps4, but i have many other issues with sell points not accepting products and getting workers to, well work haha
Dont get me wrong i love fs 22 really loving it but i cant help but think giants have watered down the realism of seasons too much trying to accommodate new casual users of the game trying to keep a bigger player base. I now have fantastic graphics on the ps5 butvexpected a even deeper realism to seasons as i thought the new gen would handle more but we have less. J feel massivly let down you cannot use the side panel i cant get the beacons to work anyway!!! Thanks as always for yor hard work mr sealy p
I didn't read through to see if someone has said this, but I think the range is for how far the bees will fly. Meaning how close to the crops they need to be for the pollination? Also I believe that the bees do not make honey all year round.
I'm always trying to remember that FS 22 is made for kids too. From my doughters perspective game is too complicated :) I like new features and as always in FS some realistic things are made only in imagination :)
One thing I like is that it can be played by both, so your daughter for example can still play the ‘basic’ stuff and we can do the more complicated stuff too and both find it enjoyable. People need to remember that it’s made for kids too when asking why we can’t grow tobacco, or take cows to abattoirs etc.
I reckon you need to re-run these tests in light of the fact that you didn't clock that the "range" refers to pollination and not to distance from the pallet spawn point. One thing that does bug me is, when you're placing them there's no indication whatsoever of the range radius, which would at least allow you to ensure you cover as much of the field as possible. Unless it just needs to be in range of the field, which would be a bit simplistic, but they don't state anywhere I can see what the rules are. Sheesh.
YrustY is right, I tested it, honey will spawn in the zone even if the hives are all the way across the map. The range is how far from a field they can be to get the yield increase.
Just so you know.... Hens produce eggs without roosters. The rosters fertilize the edges so they hatch. Like women. They already produce eggs. The male fertilizer the egg which name it grow to a baby
I think the roosters are meant for meat. Their price goes up. The price for normal chicken stays at 25 as far as i can see ( you need to buy them at 50).
I may be wrong but the range could be how far it can pollinate a field from. For example if the range is 100m and your field is 101m from the hive then it won't get any bonuses.
I've got a 33 hive placeable and the pick up point. Yield seems to vary. Most months I got one pallet, but it has been as high as 3. BUT, I also had a pallet clip into the ground, the top barely visible, and completely immobile. It's still there :(. Question is, does the yield actually vary, or are pallets spawning under the map? Or both?
Great video once again, it's a bit disappointing that you can't transport chickens and that there's no meat birds but hopefully the modding community will fix that 🤞
I think reproduction needs roosters but it seems to be bugged because any roosters in any barn will cause all chicks to reproduce (even if the rooster isn't in their barn)
Hi Mr Sealy P. Have you noticed that lorry tractor units limit the amount of crops in the trailer. I have just done a harvesting contract and borrowed the equipment. The lorry provided would only fill just over half way 57 percent. This seems to be the limit of the tractor unit pulling it.
You should of tried sunflowers seem bees love sunflowers more from my testing I got more then 1% more but the bee's should only really be used for honey. Also the size field Affects the yields that bees can give you but the yields are pretty trashy.
the distance is for polination, the honey is gathered on the spot from everywhere on the map
Beeeeet me to it
Yeah, this makes his findings on yield gain pretty flawed because most of his hives ranges were overlapping....
Thanks, was quite irritating he didn't know that.

For pollination, have say the beehive within the field.. the loss of crop is minimal to the boost in crop..
You really are a glutton for punishment! Thanks so much for your dedication and hard work!
Thank you for doing the how-to videos and keep up the good work
I felt bad collecting them, wandering around camping areas and buildings stealing kids toys…
I am enjoying the extra bit of fun, a very important lesson I learnt is that if there is a ladder I can climb up, the chances are there is a collectible up there somewhere.
Get a universal pallet autoloader. You don’t have to use it daily but they really come in handy when pallets spawn in the ground.
I have hard time with the Honey Pallet.
I wish the Honey can be like Green House product.
Or perhaps simple and fast method to load the pallet.
Thanks for the Vid.
Wot a g8 vid bees looks complicated but chickens easy thanks 4 yor hard work
Thanks mr sealy p. 😀
Great tutorial mr P thanks for your time doing these videos 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If only could look at a yield map…. Oh wait, have to wait for another mod to show you that which could have come as standard in the game…
the number is the distance from fields spawn point doesn't have to be close to hives
Eddie Izzard ref love It!!!
Do the bees work in the winter and snow, that would be funny
SPECKLED JIM!
If like 17 and 19 for that stuck Pallet it might be worth trying to landscape down, it might free it and then re-level
Glad you can rotate placeables on ps5. I can't on PS4. Have problems with crates getting stuck in the ground. A weird black line that shoots off the tractors and so on. Kinda disappointed so far in the game hopefully an update will fix the isssues
I have all these issues on my PS4 as well, hoping it get fixed soon
I have a pallet of honey stuck as well. I think it may have happened as a result of not keeping the area clean to allow more to respawn. It would be nice to direct sell it like the greenhouses.
Do you get less money if you direct sell from the greenhouses ?
@@jasonhill9652Not sure, but it is much easier then having to load up and deliver. I would guess more money would be made if taken delivered by yourself.
Another great guide to video 👌
That issue with the honey pallet in the ground is a bug. It did the same thing on mine, and I've seen others complain about it as well.
The Best way for me is to play FS with my Kids. They can learn about machines and farming and i can get as much fun as i can 😀
I reckon you need to re-run these tests in light of the fact that you didn't clock that the "range" refers to pollination and not to distance from the pallet spawn point. Sheesh.
Cool Eddie izzard reference
I would like to see a how to landscape im having trouble.plase. Good vids btw Mr Sealyp
The distance I believe is for how far they will pollinate into a field
The distance is how far away from the hives the spawn point for the honey needs to be no further than that
YrustY is right, I tested it, honey will spawn in the zone even if the hives are all the way across the map. The range is how far from a field they can be to get the yield increase.
@@downunderfarmer7658 no it’s not . Distance Is the yield for the field
Great vidio thank. If you go into the game XML on PC the Bees only give a boost of 0.5%.
Just so you know.... Hens produce eggs without roosters. The rosters fertilize the edges so they hatch. Like women. They already produce eggs. The male fertilizer the egg which name it grow to a baby
I really hope the Seasons mod comes back to bring us the challenges it did in FS19.
Or both?
I think seasons and the weather affects your honey production. I've noticed that my bees aren't flying around in the rain, or the winter months
Great video Mr sealpy will there be a difference if seasons on
Great video once again, it's a bit disappointing that you can't transport chickens and that there's no meat birds but hopefully the modding community will fix that 🤞
The range is for pollination of crops not the honey spot
I think reproduction needs roosters but it seems to be bugged because any roosters in any barn will cause all chicks to reproduce (even if the rooster isn't in their barn)
🤔 to bee, or not to bee? That is the question.
Hi Mr Sealy P. Have you noticed that lorry tractor units limit the amount of crops in the trailer. I have just done a harvesting contract and borrowed the equipment. The lorry provided would only fill just over half way 57 percent. This seems to be the limit of the tractor unit pulling it.
looking forward to mods that allow more animals per pen. base numbers are very low
That chicken got a Mr SealyP brand
Wonder if you can get that in the Mr SealyP gear shop?
You should of tried sunflowers seem bees love sunflowers more from my testing I got more then 1% more but the bee's should only really be used for honey. Also the size field Affects the yields that bees can give you but the yields are pretty trashy.
You could place some for honey and some for pollination
