Not sure if this is the best song to introduce to your 5-year-old daughter, as it is a sexist anthem that basically demonizes and vilifies “ugly” women and praises women who are conventionally beautiful. Just saying that it’s probably not the best song for a young girl’s self-esteem. The beat is dope, but the message is terrible. Roots reggae is a much better choice.
The 90’s and early 2000’s had the some of the best Caribbean music with Bob Marley being an exception, cuz he definitely had it on lock since the late 70’s
Love, Honor and Respect to Sean Paul because those were when Dancehall run the Air Waves with authenic and orignal formula. Love the Bookshelves Riddim
When I was younger I used to think this song was 3 hours long lmao but it was a lot of different artists on that one beat. I wined my lil ass elementary hips to every version 🤣🤣
Probably some dancehall shxt lol. I remember bumping the best of Beenie Man - Bookshelf when the movie Belly came out. Went through a couple of sound systems because my car kept getting broken into lol!

Today I am remembering one of those many Sean Paul great Old School Dancehall hits, one which immediately when sounds pick us back to all those which will continue being called forever as great and unforgettable old times as teens. Same times of just great memories of partys, friends and music like this one, everything is and will be unforgettable.
Marlonium..This was a when Jamaican musicians use to make Authentic Jamaican rhythm, no Americanization, just straight uncut dancehall rhythm, now its contaminated until unrecognizable. Not saying American hip-hop not good, the rhythm for [in da club] by 50cents is priceless all i'm saying is, there is no more clean cut genre now.
