Maybe, but there are several to choose from. The 1973 Boss 351 Ram Air Cleveland comes to mind. And I may be biased, but I'll take the 1970 Mach 1. I own one! LOL. 351 Cleveland 4V M code engine.

In 67' there were so many cars I yearned for but was not yet at driving age. I was a car nut still in elementary school.

Not too long ago, I could say that the sale price was more than for some houses, but no more!
A very beautiful GT500. The automatic trans and tall rear gears makes the GT500 with the 427 fe motor capable of driving on longer highway trips that 4spd equipped ones along with short rear gears wouldn't think of driving. It sounded really relaxed at 70mph. Top speed must be close to 140 in that.

In '73 I passed on a '67 Shelby GT 500 a guy wanted to trade me for something I had. Already having a '67 fastback, knowing what'd I'd do with it, I decided it'd be best someone else had it. I never left a car "as is", and I used them for what they were built for.
Sweet Shelby for someone, going to have a fine sunny, Sunday driver.

Awesome car, the transplanted 427 is how they should have been made. Kinda of a bummer about the auto, not really a big deal, sort of a little deal. Still an incredible car, nice find.
So this car is 1 of around 47 GT500’s that had dealer installed 427’s
There are no documented dealer installed 427s according to SAAC (where a dealer replaced 428 with 427 prior to sale). Current SAAC registry indicates that a 427 had reportedly been put into this car but that is extent of it. Paperwork is a must and claims are worthless without it. SAI did fit three 67 GT500s with 427s at LAX, Nos. 289, 544, and 1947. They are all well documented and accounted for.
Beautiful GT500, would prefer a 4 speed but sweet regardless.

Very nice car love the white. They did jump up in price in the past 2 years. Look at the badge tags to see of its a true white color and numbers matching motor the right front fender has numbers also to see if shes not a fake. Lots of fake GT Shelby's around theres numbers on the rear also. Dennis Collins could tell you. Beautiful car

Kind of a mid year car early enough to have inboard lights but late after they dropped the lights in the scoop. ;
Autolites have always sucked. I put one in my 65 and switched to an Interstate a week later.

THE REASON THEY PUT 4 SPEEDS BEHIND THE 427, was nothing else would hold up behind that engine,Automatics were junk at best ...AND THEY PAINTED IT WHITE...
It’s a factory white car lol. Many 427 cars came with automatics. They will hold up just fine.
