"The Pit Of Death" Cave: Bones Skulls Mysterious Masonic Symbols
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- This adventure is a return for a further exploration of the cave with the deep pit of death that has trapped many animals and other creatures resulting in their death. We discover claw marks all over the walls from animals that fell in and could not get out. We also discover mysterious symbols carved into the rock and many carved signatures from the 1700's including what appears to be Masonic symbols. Was this a meeting place of early colonial Illuminati? Is treasure buried in the last mysterious chamber surrounded by skulls? SHOULD WE GO BACK AND FIND OUT???

Was waiting for you to find a room full of muskets, cannon balls and a payroll box full of gold coins. Thanks for taking us on another great adventure. Be safe.
Should check in there with the metal detector might actually be some cool stuff.
Chigg that was absolutely awesome! Lindsy is a trooper to the core. You are a blessed man to have a women like that. That cave is amazing to say the least. Looks like you all had Avery good time. You can see the look in your eyes, the sound of your voice on just how much you enjoy the things you do. Thank you sir for the great video. I look forward to the next adventure . Stay safe and have fun my friend.
You've discovered something very special there! That cave is fascinating , especially the fact that you found 250 year old writing.
Those raccoon marks scare me the most, imagine being a small critter in pitch black trying to get out of a hole with no exit. Must've worked themselves to death.
Poor animals that was cruelty in the extreme
You should metal detect down there, with those dates on the stone
That was great to see your Lyndsay, that girl knows her stuff. That was so amazing. Can't wait until you explore this cave further. Go Lyndsay!!!
You are both daft and brave! I love it that there are still adventures like this still to be had in the world. I did find this a little nerve wracking. You really were burrowing like moles, brave to do that underground without any supports. Yes, yes, I know it’s all rocks and stuff, but still... and by the way, who was that mysterious un named heavy breather at the end of the section?. That was scariest of all!
Oh, almost forgot, Got my official Chiggs Army hooded sweatshirt this morning. SO exciting. All the way to New Zealand. Now have a gorgeous cosy fleece to wear this winter whilst out detecting. Go Chigg!!
10:46 a bone carved in stone is a pirate symbol leave the bone where they lay they show the way!! The next symbol should a dagger!,bring a spray bottle of water spray on the dagger!!
Interesting, how do you know this?
pieces of 8
bring a metal detector....
he's a goonie
Steve Bongertman because it's the key to find the one piece.
Those claw marks are most likely created by critters caught when the cave flooded. That, or the floor has been washed away over the years leaving the marks higher up the wall..
The larger bone looks like a femur bone but hard to see with the lighting. You contacted me a few years ago about bones (I had a different account then). I am the archaeologist that works at construction sites (used to be in Hawaii but now Oregon). I really enjoyed this video. Loved the old dates carved on the walls.
A large femur.
What part of Oregon if I can ask?
Aquachigger email sent.
Karl Van Ryzin Do you get called to construction sites when things are found such as bones?
Super interesting, I'd love to be involved but I don't think I'm smart enough! Haha
Aquachigger Hi Chigg! I work at the Zooarchaeology lab at the university of Maryland. We have a great reference collection of different bones from different species. We also have connections at the Smithsonian if I couldn't find a match. Would you be open to sharing the stills with me too?
I love your sense of childlike excitement. My brother and I explored a lot but you go way beyond what we did. I love your commentary on animals & surroundings, that reminds me of my Dad. I also love the history. Thanks, I really enjoy it. Keep it up.
Next visit take some paper and pencil/crayon and take some rubbings of the names and dates
Yeah, big kids wax crayons work well, use the sides to cover a greater area👍
Roll of kids art paper.
Wax paper as regular paper would get wet and destroyed
An Indiana Jones fanatic like me, right?
Yes!!!
That charcoal is probably from torches used by those people in the 1700’s fir light
Thad’s pretty neat actually
Awesome video. I'm totally addicted to your adventures.
Me too! And I have a few of my own, LOL!
Sherri Zahand me too.... I once explored a cave. I wasn't supposed to,I was like 10,my sis was like 6 or 7. But it was an oval shaped opening just big enough for us to fit into. An adult deffinetly couldn't fit. But we lived in Kentucky and lived 10 foot away from mountains, it was like we lived down in a bowl surrounded by the big mountains. But anyways,we would go in it all the time, the first time we went in it was the most amazing thing we had ever seen. It did open up a little more on the inside, but we went in and I remember it being damp and cool, but the best part was the walls of the cave, it was glittery. I was old enough to know it was fool's gold. But I never told my sister, she thought she found gold and was so excited. We never really told anyone about it. I think we told our dad, and of course we got in trouble. But we always went back, wouldn't let my sister go in alone. That was forever ago,I'm 31 now,and live in Georgia. Maybe my sister and I should go back. Idk if she even remembers it. I'll have to ask her.
I would love to see a video about it. make sure if you do that you let me know! =)
It is so nice seeing Lindsay again! Hi LINDSAY! 🙋♀️
You are all so brave! Impressive team exploration.
I would be so claustrophobic
I hope this cave is named after Aquachigger.....just saying....😉
Thanks for sharing this with us ☺️
Now that was so cool, i wanted you to keep going and and pop up in the woods with gold bars in hand ......
I love these cave exploration videos. Keep them coming and be safe.
Exciting adventure...I can’t wait to see what is beyond the part that you and Lynsey started digging out. I would definitely bring my detector or pinpointer down there. You never know what secrets that cave may hold. Thanks for sharing! ~ Gypsy
This is why I watch your channel (along with the history, metal detecting abandoned building exploration etc), this was an awesome video Chigg
Bones and scratch marks are all that's left of a group that was exploring the cave back in the 1700s. Expedition leader was Ichabod Ouimette.
Flashback to a man that looks just like Beau but in 1700s clothes and with an accent and a peg leg or something.
Holding a map and looking heroic
Best comment !!
*Sittin' muscle*
Andy Shriner can’t imagine how hard exploring caves with only fire as a light source would be. Also, the long bone he finds looks oddly very human.
Always love seeing your notification pop up! Thanks!
Great video aquachigger! I can't wait to watch more of your river exploring ☺️
Very cool adventure, Chigg & crew! 👍🔦🔦
I'm claustrophobic so there's no way I'd be able to do this. Even though I get abit anxious watching, I still highly enjoy it! Thank you
You are perfectly matched with Lindsey! She's up for the challenge(s) and it looks like she's she loves it as much as you do!
So excited that I found your channel! Awesome! I'm also sending the link to your video to the amazing Mr. Scott Wolter, you had a few hooked X's.... you guys are great!😃
I'm a bone collector and I get so exited when I see skulls and bones, for some reason I don't have good luck finding bones like you do!!!
I don't know how I did it but I held my breath for 24 minutes and 24 seconds. You sir must have huge shiny brass nads! Nope, not brass...24kt. gold!!
I used to sell potato salad sandwiches out of this particular cave back in the 1950s.
Bob Dobbs haha haha 😂For some reason this cracked me up! Reading all these serious comments then bam potato salad.
. LOL
Sky Angel and Bob Dobbs, I had the same reaction, then I find myself trying to picture someone in a cave handing out sandwiches. HA HA HA
“Damn good samiches as I member ...”
😂
“There are no bones here” boiiiii that thumbnail click bait 😂😂😂😂
“Shiney”
I'm claustrophobic, so thank you Beau for making me nervous just watching you dig in a tight enclosed space.
Love seeing you and Lyndsay going on adventures together. You struck gold with her, Beau, she seems like a lovely lady :)
Best wishes and regards from England! :D
Loved every moment! Please go back soon. There are plenty other caves you still haven't gone back to. These are my favorite videos. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness! You were right to be prepared for today's video. I had to hold my husband"s hand to watch that one..and he thought it was hysterical that I could only peek at it....lol...great video!
Great video! I can’t wait to see upcoming ones. You all are brave people to venture into those tight spots. Lindsey, you are a trooper for sure. Love you guys. Be safe!
#09 checking in ..lol it’s good too see all the family together..much love and respect..thank you for the video say high too everyone and chigg on ! Keithy &JoAnn.🙏🐾🐾🐾🐾⛏🧚🏼♂️🧚🏿♀️🙈🙉🙊
Good video AC!! Those old wall dates are really cool
These people are brave as hell!! I'd be worried about a collapse happening! esp. with that chicky with the purple hair... she's pretty loud and ya never know how sensitive these places are to vibrations.
I was thinking the same all the time. Couldn't stand that. You wouldn't even hear if something starts to break with all that loud chattering.
I loved this one, what a cool cave. This is the first time I've seen lindsay and she's exactly how I imagined her, you're perfect for each other.
Great video and loved the history you were finding with the names from the 1700's. You said a few times how tight it was getting but don't you worry about getting stuck? I was just reading about the Nutty Putty cave incident and it was hard to watch the tight areas you were in.
Lindsey is a keeper for sure!! I'm claustrophobic and would of told you to get bent if you asked me to even go down there!!
I’m usually not a massive fan of the cave vids on here (just because I’m not into cave exploring) but that’s a really cool cave. Seeing the old dates is great
Is this Mrs. Aquachigger? Beau is a most fortunate man, as I’m sure Lindsey is an awesome woman. Everyone is having way too much fun.
Great video and adventure. Must say that it kicked my claustrophobia in something crazy. Haha
Another GREAT video!! Man I love that new cave exploitation. Can't wait for part 3
Haven't these people SEEN The Descent??? Nutters!
Or the movie The Cave
I'm a WV coal miner and I love these videos keep up the good work and most importantly BE SAFE 👌
I'm so glad you went back to this one. Awesome find with the names & dates. Be careful!!
sweet adventure you guys look like you had a great time, thanks for taking us along
Please keep up the great work!!! 😁 I watch your channel more often than I watch TV. All your adventures are so interesting, you deserve your own show on discovery channel 👌
Woohoo Beau! Just got your T-shirt. Love it. Lol.
please be careful with caving. John Jones met a pretty terrible end caving. And I enjoy your videos far too much to not have them anymore!
Fantastic stuff Chigger, nice cave mate! Great to see you guy enjoying yourselves 😁👌🏻
Love to see you and lindsey working together. You gone so much.
Thank all of you for the fantastic work you put into this. The videos on this cave exploration were very, very fascinating. THANK YOU!!
You might be getting me a little intrigued, but only because Lindsay felt safe enough to go with you! LOL! And I might even admit I was a bit more curious this time.
Exciting... Thanks for taking us...👍👍👍👍
WOW! First class YT video 👍, you just don't get to see that everyday. Enjoyed very much!
Nice to see you and Lindsey back in action together. You two make great team.
Greatly enjoyed this adventure. Looking forward to your returning to this cave!
Looks like fun! Would have loved going with you all on that one. Maybe it was Captain Kidd that carved his name and left clues using bones! Great video Beau!
This is so cool. You go on all kinds of fun adventures.
Cool adventure, Beau. I'm claustrophobic so I could never do that. I was holding my breath:) Stay safe.
Yes I'm feeling traumatised after watching for a bit. My nightmares are all claustrophobic.
Me too ..
Yeah, you could show me pics of gold coins and bricks stacked 20 ft high, offer me half the bounty...I just can't do it. Claustrophobia sucks.
Wow, this is the most serious adventuring we have done with you, so far!
There is NO DAMN WAY you're gonna catch me in some claustrophobic cave, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
K.C LeJeune I might follow a pretty girl in there but that's the only way.
K.C LeJeune I tried once! We have a lot of swimming holes in Florida, and my friends thought it was soooo cool.... took me 6 feet to decide it wasn’t to me.
You got that right! I was just thinking same thing.
K.C LeJeune lol I second that. Not a chance, especially no caves with claw marks and dates and bones and skulls 😬lol 👀😳😂👀
Wimp, lol
Oh yes i have been looking forward to see this
Did you happen to find any of the names that you found in the cave from back in the day as you put it in any historical records so you can verify there were people in there back in the 1700's?
Wat u think wrote that those racoons ?? Really maybe i did not get wat u mean. Can they find the names in a historical record? U could do that part if ur interested. Richard is longhand for dick ..
So did you ever make it any further in? This is in my favorite Aquachigger vids. Looks like so much fun...and scary.
The whole group of adventurers are awesome, but Lindsey, you are a badass. Amazing cave, bones, dates, scratch marks. Subbed
You’re using up all the air dude. This is a great vid. Imagine people doing the same thing back in the 1700’s imagine, that in itself is amazing.
This is awesome! Great adventure!
That was pretty cool discovering that people had been down in there from 1779. Wow! It's kind of creepy and sad for the animals that got trapped in that place.
Exciting exploration! Keep on doing that!
Lovely to see your wife in good health (after her wrist)! Great adventure, ty 🙏🏼
Better you then me going down there. Glad you took us along.
Hats off to you guys to explore caves theres no way i could climb and crawl and scooch around in such tight quarters no way man.
An archeologist nightmare: Guys with shovels. An Arborists nightmare: two guys with chainsaws.
This was by far the coolest video you have filmed. Is crazy to think people were down there in 1776 or what ever you said. Maybe metal detect down there?
I need to take a nap after watching you work so hard😂👊🏽👍
brilliant enjoyed the vid aquachigger glad you all got in & out safe i'did a bit of caving many years ago now here in scotland on the isle of mull when i'was a teenager loved it loved the deep cave pools & the crawling in tight spaces all though it's not for everyone great to see you & the lady digging away to go even further the animal skulls & bones and the writting on the rocks was exellent good to see the relic recoverist & andrew down there with yous looked like they both enjoyed think you 4 should go bk down & spend the night, cave camp lol thank you cheers & bye for now
sorry meant to say you 5 rob & linzie hope i'got the names right can't make them out on the vid
You Need some Climber Wedges to Wedge between Cracks to attach Drop Rope for Ladder....
Well there is Chiggs Army and an offshoot called Chigger's Diggers...lol
What an amazing pair you two are. Great to see you all having fun. Brilliant video. 🤗🤗
That was amazing! I so love your videos ❤
You are blessed to have friends who will go with you on crazy, wonderful adventures! But even more so, with your lady!!
That was superb, can’t wait for you to go back and take us with you
Par excellence! What a cave! Carved Names! This is one of your best vids! Kudos to the group! LOVED IT.
My great-grandfather was a mason (back when they were basically a club, not what they are today) in Missouri and we have some of his journals and books. I am going to check to see if he has anything about those symbols.
You guys are bad-a$$, Chigg! Great adventure and I'm glad the claw marks were all old. It was cool that the ladies were so down with it.
Wow that was incredible. Your like a groundhog that won't quit. It's like I was in there with you guys. Very cool cool find.
I think it's even cooler rather than being first is that the people that were in there before were there in the 1700s!
That is a spectacular cave. Admire the work. I do wonder did you get the big bone checked out. It would be interesting to find out what animal it came from.
The Bottom Shelve & to see how old it is!!
Another enjoyable video never disappointed. Brave I get nervous and im not even in there lol. Have a good day and stay safe Jimmy from Massachusetts
Great video! Great finds!
Fantastic Vid Beau . 👍👍👍
Kind of late piece of advice. If you're going to keep going first and letting Rob follow you into new caving systems, you might want to carry you a pack with a few ready to eat meals and some packaged water. Just in case he gets stuck like a cork in a bottle and it takes several hours and rescue to pop him out. He is a pretty big boy and getting in might be a lot easier getting in than out.
WHAT A FANTASTIC ADVENTURE. YOU'RE LIKE INDIANA JONES... ONLY YOUR REAL!
1700's? WOW!
Man that clay looked like pottery grade stuff. This was an unexpected pleasure seeing those names in there. I wonder if some research on them would yield anymore information. Maybe they were local or maybe the ones from the Revolutionary war period were using the cave as a hideout from the British? Could that 8 next to the Masonic symbol actually be an infinity symbol? Sometimes they used it too. Maybe they had some of theirmeetings in there. This was really so much fun and surprising. You never know what you may find.
Awesome! You all are great! As a part time prospector/relic hunter, I would work some of that clay in a pan and check it for gold. Stay cool
I was thinking the same thing. could even be buried treasure in there.
Kool find. Looking forward to the next trip back to this cave.
better hope there isn't any demons in there just because you can't see them doesn't mean they won't fallow you home
Was that a " Hooked X" on the wall? Some people think that is Templar! Never know! So cool guys!
