My hearty congratulations for the milestone of 175th lecture of our Friday group. The commendable dedication and commitment of Seshagiri Rao is the reason for this sucessful journey.
To me the topic of the Law and literature was fascinating and has created a curiosity in me because of the speaker Senior Advocate, Dama Seshadri Naidu sir, who was always known for is eloquence and articulations.
My previous opinion of the topic was that law and literature are parallel universe. But the speaker Dama Seshadri Naidu sir has completely given a different insight to it and completely set a right prospective and created an interest to read literatures. The one hour lecture has sprinkled the suggestions of various literature and contribution to read. The insights and information shared by the D.S.N sir are truly a nectar collected from various philosophers and authors. I thank the speaker and organisers of Friday group for such an enriching session of knowledge sharing.

What an honour to listen to such legal giant! I would like to ask Sir why is it that his home state that is Maharashtra has maximum number of High Court Bench and this despite the irrefutable fact that Maharashtra tops in the latest justice index ranking list and UP which figures among the bottom has just one Bench and that too so near to Allahabad and nowhere else! Why West UP which owes for more than half of the total number of pending cases of UP has not even a single HC Bench? Why maximum number of pending cases in UP and maximum number of Judges in UP and just one Bench only still and that too so near to Allahabad at Lucknow and nowhere else! He must ponder as to why Justice Jaswant Singh Commission headed by former Supreme Court Judge recommended three HC Benches for UP and still not one created and Maharashtra which had multiple HC Benches was given one more at Aurangabad in Maharashtra in 1985? My best wishes and best regards, Sanjeev Sirohi, Advocate

Dama Sir speaks so eloquently and he must speak on why such a peaceful State like his home State Maharashtra which is also the home state of India's CJI and which tops in the latest justice index ranking list and where women and girls can go all alone anywhere as I saw myself while doing LLB from Symbiosis Law College in Pune and as conceded by former UP Chief Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale while in office as Chief Justice while listening a case of women and girls being robbed and assaulted and raped in broad daylight and that too on national Highway in Bulandshahr in Western Uttar Pradesh that in Uttar Pradesh women and girls are not safe even with their family and friends while on national Highway and in Maharashtra women and girls are most safe even while all alone anywhere and everywhere and Maharashtra also tops in justice index ranking list and still has just one Bench and that too so near to Allahabad at Lucknow only and nowhere else! This is most disgusting indeed! Former UN Secretary General Ban ki Moon termed UP as the rape and crime capital of India and still has just one Bench and that too so near to Allahabad and nowhere else! Most disgusting that Justice Jaswant Singh Commission headed by former Supreme Court Judge Justice Jaswant Singh recommended three HC Benches for UP and still not one created till now and Maharashtra which already had multiple HC Benches was given one more at Aurangabad as recommended by Justice Jaswant Singh Commission and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray approved one more at Kolhapur for just six district only and West UP which owes for more than half of the total number of pending cases for which Justice Jaswant Singh Commission recommended High Court Bench in Agra and still not one created! Let me also reveal here that the litigants of 30 districts of West UP have to travel whole night and half a day not just till Lucknow which is 230 km earlier but right uptill Allahabad to seek justice! Why the hell Centre has cared a damn
for it? Why Centre happily and pompously announces two more HC Benches at Dharwad and Gulbarga for just four and eight districts only in 2008 but for 30 districts of West UP not a single HC Bench created till now even though lawyers of West UP have gone on strike for 6 months in 2001, five and a half months in 2014-15 and for a month in 2009 and 2010 and strike every Saturday since last 42 years and many times even on Wednesday and one month hunger strike in 1978 and what not and still no decision taken by Centre! Most disgusting! My best wishes and best regards, Sanjeev Sirohi, Advocate

Kindly speak Sir on why the most populated State of India and having maximum number of pending cases has just one Bench and that too so near to Allahabad at Lucknow only and nowhere else? Also speak on why Uttar Pradesh has maximum number of Judges in all courts but has just one Bench and also speak on why West UP which owes for more than half of the total number of pending cases and for whom Justice Jaswant Singh Commission recommended three HC Benches and one for West UP and still not a single HC Bench created even after so many decades?
Why home state of yous and the incumbent CJI Dr Dhananjay Yashwant Chandrachud has maximum number of Benches and tops in the latest justice index ranking list and still Centre keeps approving Benches for Maharashtra but not a single more for UP other than the one created by Lord Pandit Jawaharlal Nehruji way back in 1948 at Lucknow which is so close to Allahabad and nowhere else? Why Centre is dead determined to never allow even a single HC Bench for whole of Uttar Pradesh? Kindly tell us. Kindly tell us why Karnataka which has just 6 crore population and which is so peaceful and still Centre in 2008 happily creates two Benches for just four and eight districts of Karnataka at Dharwad and Gulbarga respectively where lawyers unlike the lawyers of West UP who have been agitating since ages for Bench never went on strike still they were given Bench and why such discrimination of the worst kind is never spoken of by the eminent lawyers and Judges of India barring a few exceptions? My best wishes and best regards, Sanjeev Sirohi, Advocate
