I've have the DeWALT 20V Max 12 Inch chain saw and it is a "must have" piece of gear for overlanding. I love chopping and sawing fire wood but I've got to say there's nothing like an electric chain saw. I can have a cord of wood stacked up in 15 minutes. The only issue I have with the DeWALT saw is that the chain lube leaks out the bottom and gets all over everything. So you need to drain the chain lube before packing up. I put my saw in a small duffle bag with an absorbing towel in the bottom to catch any residual lube.
Solid tour! thanks for the build advice... even though not everyone may have a jeep... you always seem to have gear which touches all of the inportant categories... with quality. Great job!!
Thanks! I can't skimp on quality with the amount of time I spend living out of my Jeep in the wilderness. There is certainly cheaper options sometimes but its for a less frequent adventurer.
Hi Casey, I would love to hear your security experience running a SOFT TOP with all your gear. I wonder how often or how far you venture from your Jeep when out. I'm used to security issues while traveling on a motorcycle, but am wondering how things will be if I choose to go with a soft top. Thanks for your videos. cheers
Excellent set up. I also love my Fiskars axe and its original plastic head cover. The wife has a JL 4xe; trying to make storage work without a roof rack so can easily remove the hard top. We mostly use an M416 trailer. Been watching a lot of your content as I make plans for her JL.
Can you talk about how you hooked up your camping lights and auxbeam controller to the ecoflow? You may have done that in an earlier episode but I must have missed it. I want to do that in my jku. Thanks for a great channel 👍🏾
I kept it as simple as possible. I ran a the 12v 10a DC connection into the positive and negative input of the auxbeam (I cut the end off a 12v connector so I had the bare wires. Then I just wired the scene lights into the Auxbeam's switched ports as you would if it was connected to any other power source (like a battery). Works great, I just wish there was more then 10am.
I know this video is dated and you’ve moved on from this tent - but were considering it (Condor 2 or Condor 2 OL) for our build - 2012 JKU with Maximus-3 and Pioneer Platform. The OL version is heavy. How did it ride? Feel a lot of sway from it?
Thanks for the video! I think ONE question I have when I wathc a video of this nature is....with EVERYTHING loaded as it is, how much weight does it add to the Jeep and how much does it affect your gas mileage overall? Does your highway gas mileage take a big hit?
My Jeep is diesel. I don't see much difference from weight, mostly just with having the RTT on top it cuts it down. I still get 16 to 20mpg on the highway.
So I know those fire extinguishers are not sponsors but I would love to see you put one in action so I may be more provoked to investing in them maybe even reaching out to the company letting them know someone would like to see their fire extinguisher actually work or maybe a campfire they just look too small to do anything but granite you said that the chemical thing something else I probably personally want to look into what's the chemical hazmat status for human beings is this toxic
Update: Ran the Wa. BDR this week in some crazy weather. Just packed the sleeping bag up to return. Soooo glad I had extra blankets! I could feel a little warmth on my back but within 30 min I wash freezing my a$$ off! Piled on 2 wool blankets and made it through. I shipped it to Wa. a by my own fault didnt do a thorough OPS check be fore leaving out. First night got down to 24F and I was definitely uncomfortable within 30 min. Certainly I could have got a defective unit but if I fear I will need bulky blanket back up I probably will invest in a tru cold weather bag and deal with its bulk. That’s my honest review for you and viewers still love checking out gear from guys like you! Love the channel and all your adventures!

Can you do a video on how you wire everything to the echoflow. I have a delta 2 and I'm dying to see how it's done lol

How are you liking the 4xe?
Thanks for the bit on the Element fire extinguishers. I have been looking into those for use on UTV travels.
Nice setup Casey! I agree the Element fire extinguisher is well worth the price. Great video!
Hope to never use them but an essential in my Jeeps.

Thanks Dwayne, was just about to write the exact same question😊, not let’s see if we could motivate him to do a short video of how it’s done 😉
Please share the link of the magnetic mount to Element fire extinguisher
