Nice! I really envy this passion of yours. How fantastic to be able to explore the country this way. It's interesting how many times you were on a flat for a while even though you were gaining in elevation. That is one looooong meandering trail! And some of those trails dropped of rather steeply to one side! Thanks for sharing and great job!

It certainly is a passion of mine! Love exploring this world - so much beauty. This trail had some of the longest switch backs Id ever been on (some were miles long) - made for lots of shortcuts but I preferred to take the long way and not just because it was less steep but because the trail was so beautiful. Usually by the end of a long day hiking Im thankful to be done, but I found myself wishing I had more time to hike at the end of this one...

Thats a tough one. If you havnt summited humphreys peak before then I would have to say humphreys peak (it gets high though so watch out for elevation sickness). Inner basin to weather ford trail to the saddle is pretty incredible as well and doesnt get as high (believe the highest you get is 10k). From the saddle you can summit neighboring freemont peak or doyle peak if you have the energy for it. I did Doyle and thought it was worth it...
