You're on the other side of the world with notification at 11:30 PM local. Videos are always welcome. That bike looks great but currently lacking motivation to send in my Aventon. Is nothing too exotic but weaned me from the trap of complexity, and ever changing standards of the bike industry. Rebellion. There is no fixie culture around here but with front brake on am accepted as the oldest fast rider there. Downhills and tailwinds are really tough. I realized that in my prime really I used only 3 gears. I just picked the middle one and adapted decades later!

DT Swiss T1800 wheelset with DT Swiss hubs, aero spokes and Gatorskins. Omniums with the ceramic GXP BB, Izumi super toughness chain. No Brooks saddle but a cinelli one. Otherwise nearly identical except for the handlebars, headset, collar, cog and saddle. Solid build Raul

I have all Campangolo’s 11spd Centaur group set w/their Chorus brakes, Miche Race 707s wrapped in Continental GP5000s, the cogs are 11-32 rear and 54/34 front...I’ll be brazing a front derailleur the ‘Shark’ frame with a direct mount rear derailleur on the back. It’s gonna be a mt road killer!! can’t wait 🤪🤩😎
Seriously nice wheels. On the SRAM Omnium, the stock bottom bracket is not great, so replacement can help smoothness, like the Omniracer bottom bracket I switched too.
BeboSaab My SRAM bottom bracket developed a noise, and severe drag, in just over one year of riding. If I would guess, it’s probably a quality control issue. I went with an Omniracer bottom bracket, which was immediately noticeable as smoother, quieter, and less friction.
On sram cranksets you can change the sram standard of BB to a Hope BB and buy a sram ring adapter to convert from sram to hope. The hope BB is shimano standard. The bearings will last longer and smoother. And extra points because it’s Hope 😊😊

Hey Zach! This might get buried, but have you checked out the Mercier Kilo WT? I've been watching your reviews on the kilo tt and noticed your comments on the quality control of the tt's forks and thought the wider clearance of the wt (wide tire) might be of your interest. Another good thing about it is that - from my knowledge - the wt's seatpost and head tube are the standard sizes unlike the tt. As a complete fixie noob, I just wanted to thank you for the superb informative quality of your videos because they've helped me tremendously as of recent. Keep up the great content!

@@johngorgis high end steel is super expensive tho but really nice. for that price you can get a lighter alu frame or even a carbon frame like the Dolan seta or the planetx pro carbon.

Beautiful bike, awesome parts. However, I'm a bit more simplistic. I feel that some of these builds are more of a "look how cool I am and how much money I spent on these hypebeast parts". I'm not complaining but its a bit too douchy for me. The feature you did on that Soma Rush is more my taste. Keep up the great work Zach.
I have a vigorelli I understand where you are coming from with the relaxed geometry. I use mine for messenger work and food deliveries and having a more up right position can help with long shifts and keeping the food from leaking.
@@OGLobster @OG Prangster i hear that and as a full time messenger for "snap courier" here in chicago, i work 12hrs a day, 5 days straight a week. i work on a bb17 transfer (lo pro), a blb london lo pro (which im working on today), a 2010 khs flite 100, and a 2010 cinelli gazzetta. hauling large catering on long distance deliveries ive never had an issue with damaged goods. but its all preference to the individual. im a 10yr veteran in the mess game so i know what works best for my riding style. stay safe out there btw!

Some bikepacking saddle bags interfere with the seat clamp in normal position. Not sure this is a bikepacking bike tho
It reduces localized pinching from the seat tube slot and seat post clamp on the carbon seat post.
